After a wild night with her longtime crush, Kaitlyn ends up pregnant. She isn't sure how Rafe will react, but he seems to take it pretty well at first. When the two of them tell Rafe's family, everyone assumes that they will be getting married. Kaitlyn and Rafe must pretend to be in a relationship to keep everyone healthy and happy.

I adored both Kaitlyn and Rafe. For some reason, I really like surprise pregnancy plotlines. I enjoyed watching Rafe and Kaitlyn overcoming their fear and hesitancy. I loved the two of them together and I loved their relationships with the other characters. I had such a good time reading this book and I'm excited to read more from Miranda Liasson!

I can always count of the small town of Angel Falls to deliver a cute romance. I was itching to read this one because it’s a siblings’ best friend trope and we got a little tease of it in the previous book in the series. Kaitlyn and Rafe have been good friends for years, she’s his sisters best friend and has been basically part of his family. She’s also always had a crush on him and Rafe has been emotionally unavailable except for one night they gave in to their physical desire.

This is the perfect little holiday romance. It has a lot of small town charm and that sense of community, as well as family bonds. I love the love in the Langdon family.

While I thought there was plenty of chemistry between Rafe and Kaitlyn, I did want a little more from them. Rafe has a lot of issues to work through from his past and some of those are brought on the surface again because of the events in this book. I wanted a little more emotion from that than what we got. But at the same time, I also liked that this was a low angst book. I know, the contradiction.

I do think Miranda Liasson has a sweet writing style that is perfect for holiday romances and I can’t wait to read more from her.

Miranda Liasson has the gift to write truly likeable and flawed characters. Her stories both tug at the heart strings and also have humorous moments to lighten the load. This story, the third in the Angel Falls series, is no exception and is the best to date. Kaitlyn Barnes has had a nearly life long crush on Rafe Langdon, the brother of her two best friends. The two have an easy camaraderie but after they spend the night together, Kaitlyn finds herself pregnant. Rafe suffered a great loss in his early 20's and is terrified of risking his heart again. Kaitlyn, to her credit, is moving forward with her life and her pregnancy with or without him at her side. Their story was worth the wait and like the other books in the series hosts a fine supporting cast including Rafe's grandmother, Nonna, Kaitlyn's niece, Hazel, a puppy, and Rachel, the Langdon children's step-mother. If all that isn't enough, the story takes place during the Christmas season. Pick up this sweet, yuletide offering. You will be glad you did!

A wonderful Christmas read with such heart and love. Such a great one to clear up on a winter day and enjoy.

All I Want for Christmas Is You was an adorable holiday romance! Kaitlyn and Rafe were such a cute couple, even as they fought through their issues. Lots of good supportive family, a troubled niece and an unplanned pregnancy bring a lot to the story. Kaitlyn is strong and trying to do what is best, Rafe is also strong, but doesn't realize it in himself. I had a small tiny issue with the way Rafe realized he loved her at the end, but that is probably just a me thing.

This was my first foray into Angel Falls & certainly not my last. This book is cute, fun, features a surprise pregnancy & an adorable puppy. This is such a great Christmas, cozy read. And seriously, can I move to Angel Falls if Sweetwater Springs won’t take me?

3.5 STARS

I am a huge fan of Miranda Liasson and have been longing for this Angel Falls addition. While I liked the book, it did not pack the chemistry I had anticipated. Kaitlyn and Rafe have been torturing each other for the previous two books. However, their romance fell flat, and I found myself more interested in secondary characters than their romance. I still adore this author and won't hesitate to read her next book. Overall, it was not a favorite of the series, but I enjoyed getting to read their story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for my review copy.

All I Want For Christmas is You by Miranda Liasson was such a cute Christmassy romance! I am always a sucker for a fake relationship. All I Want begins with Kaitlyn discovering she’s pregnant, after a night with Rafe that got out of hand. Kaitlyn of course has had a thing for him for awhile but they are mostly close friends as Rafe is struggling with loss. I loved that Rafe is the one that goes through the emotional journey in the book, And hello!! We need more books with men with glasses that read books. There were a few times where I wanted to shake Rafe, but mostly I loved him and his story! I also loved Katilyn. She was such a strong and independent character. And of course I enjoyed the town of Angel Falls. I will have to check out the previous books in the series to learn more about the other character’s stories!

Are you looking for an entertaining and sweet Christmas romance? Do you love surprise baby plots? If the answer to both of these is yes, I suggest trying the final book in Miranda Liasson’s Angel Falls series, All I Want for Christmas is You.

I personally read it as a stand-alone, and thought it was totally fine, but it did make me want to go back and read the first two. The one night hookup between Rafe and Kaitlyn happens during a wedding in book two, and there’s a blackout. This story starts with Kaitlyn discovering that she’s pregnant, and kfreaking out. Rafe is the brother of her two best friends, and while she’s been into him forever she knows that he does not do relationships after the death of his fiancée years ago. But both of their families are insistent they make a perfect couple. Once they announce the pregnancy, everyone just assumes they’re engaged. And after a health scare with Rafe’s grandmother, Nonna, they decide to play along.

Two of my favorite tropes! Secret/surprise baby and fake relationship! I freaking loved Rafe’s family, especially Nonna. The scenes with all of them together were delightful and hilarious. I wasn’t as crazy about the side storyline with Kaitlyn’s niece, Hazel. It felt a little unnecessary. I would have much preferred more with the cute dog (the dog storyline is adorable). I really enjoyed Rafe and Kaitlyn trying to work out their relationship, even if I felt like shaking both of them at times. I will say the ending felt rushed to me, and a little predictable, but overall I enjoyed reading this one! I think it’s the perfect quick Christmas romance. And there’s a little bit of steam!

If you’re in the mood for some small town, friends to lovers romance, give All I Want for Christmas is You a try. This was a 3.5 star read for me.

am sorry this is the last book of this series as I have enjoyed them all. The last book ended with Rafe and Kaitlyn being together. Now it is weeks later and Kaitlyn is pregnant and Rafe will be there for the baby but doesn't want to be commited in a relationship because of his past and not wanting to be hurt again. But they end up having a fake engagement to make his family happy.
While Rafe struggles with his feelings for Kaitlyn, she is also not wanting him to know her feelings as she knows he does not want to settle down. But the heat between these 2 is very hot and no matter what each thinks there is something there.
Thanks to Forever for the book to review.

This is an enjoyable tale of two people that discover their friendship has turned into something far deeper. And there is an adorable puppy to boot!

Kaitlyn has had a long time crush on her friends' brother and when they have one too many drinks at a wedding, Kaitlyn finds out her life is going to drastically change in nine months.
Rafe was engaged young and lost his fiancee and though not a lot of people know, she was pregnant. Every since then he has tried to wall his heart off but Kaitlyn always finds way to sneak past his guard. When a baby and a fake engagement force him into opening up to her more, he begins to realize that maybe loving again is worth the risk.

And oh, she felt the current between them, strong as always, brought on by camaraderie and banter, but sustained by pure, unholy chemistry.

Third in the Angel Falls series, readers have been waiting for Rafe and Kaitlyn to finally get together. In the previous book, we saw them hook-up and All I Want For Christmas Is You starts off with Kaitlyn realizing she is pregnant from that encounter. Previous characters from the first two books in the series make appearances here but mostly stay to the side as Kaitlyn and Rafe work out their issues. Kaitlyn's troubled niece adds some extra stress to Kaitlyn's storyline and I only really liked her addition as a maybe see these character in a future book with her good-looking and nice kid math tutor.

Kaitlyn was like sunshine, offering warmth and sweetness and… hope. The scary part was that she made him wonder, what would it be like to dare to step into that light?

Rafe's issues with opening up to Kaitlyn were understandable but as I didn't get any flashback scenes with him and his previous fiancee and it was so many years ago, I never felt emotionally connected to his heartbreak. This made his reluctance and dragging feet to accept he liked and loved Kaitlyn feel kind of prolonged towards the middle and end. The whole plot of his grandmother faking a heart-attack and their fake engagement felt like going through the motions of a trope, not many funny moments or tension emotions taken out of it.

Kaitlyn and Rafe do have sweet and cute moments together but the vast majority of emotional energy from the two is Kaitlyn thinking how Rafe is acting toward and what he is doing for her is from a sense of obligation for the baby and Rafe stays in his past hurts purgatory for so long, the pace and tone of the story isn't very upbeat.

“Someone should make you feel special every single day.”

I felt like I got to know Kaityln more as a character and the heap of stresses she had on her plate, unplanned pregnancy, troubled niece, and trying to win a cookie recipe contest to help her bakery out had me feeling for her. I would have liked a couple more scenes with her and her friends to see her communicate and have her personality flourish in that way. Rafe didn't shine as brightly for me, he's a fireman but we almost never see him in that capacity or get a feel for him in that way and he has a certain cloud of moping around him. Like I said, these two did have some sweet moments together but I would have liked to have seen more of a definitive growing and marked decision to choose one another; the surprise pregnancy kind of made the decision for Rafe.

The ending added some extra angst that I wasn't sure fit the previous cozy, low-key tone of the story (obligatory firefighter in danger angst) and again helped make the decision for our couple to come together instead of showing a more emotional journey to get there. Except for holiday baking and some family get togethers, the holiday feel could have been stronger and since I'm a big dog lover, I could have stood for more cute puppy scenes. This had some checklist tropes and additives that didn't quite end up jumping out at me but this also had some quiet sweetness.

Unexpected pregnancy isn't usually one of my favourite romance tropes, but Miranda Liasson's All I Want for Christmas is You totally won me over. Years of unacknowledged mutual attraction leads to a sizzling one night stand between fiercely independent baker Kaitlyn and light-hearted firefighter Rafe. Kaitlyn knows that Rafe has no desire for a wife or kids, so when she realizes she's pregnant with his child, she has every intention of raising the kid alone. Except Rafe's matchmaking grandmother low-key tricks them into a fake engagement. Then Rafe's repairs to Kaitlyn's apartment requires her to move in with him. And eventually, she comes to realize that there's a lot more to Rafe than his joking facade.

I absolutely loved Kaitlyn and Rafe. Both are dealing with stuff in their pasts that make it difficult for them to allow themselves to fall in love. Kaitlyn was raised by a single mom, who taught her to take care of herself, and so she struggles to accept Rafe's kindness and generosity. And a tragedy from Rafe's past makes him overprotective towards the people he loves. I love how their respective struggles clash so much with each other's -- they have to work hard for their happily ever after, and this just makes the payoff so very worth it.

I'm also a sucker for animals in romances, and I love the puppy in this one. Bandit is totally adorable, but more than that, his story just about melted my heart. First, Rafe discovers him abandoned by the side of the road, and then brings him to the vet to find him a forever home. Then he and Kaitlyn totally fall in love with the dog, but hesitate to adopt him -- Rafe because he worries his work schedule makes it impossible for him to give the dog the care he needs, and Kaitlyn because she worries about her ability to care for a dog in her tiny apartment with a baby on the way. Their journey to open their hearts and their homes to Bandit parallels their journey to coming together as a couple, and when they finally make the decision to take Bandit home, it's beautiful.

Minor detail, but I also kinda liked how Kaitlyn talked about her surprise at the pregnancy when she and Rafe had used two types of birth control. Accidents happen, even when people are taking responsible precautions, and while she and Rafe had clearly been carried away by passion, I like that the author pointed out that the pregnancy was not because they'd forgotten birth control.

When you are faced with your long-time crush, and are best friends with his sisters, there’s nothing more difficult that turning the corner from ‘easy going best friends’ to lovers. And when you add in one night of passion at his sister’s wedding – things get horribly complicated. Add in a seventeen year old niece who is, difficult at best, and working to keep your little bakery successful while trying to find a long-lost recipe that could win you a contest, and Kaitlyn has her hands more than full. Or so she thought. Until the stripe turned blue, and that one night with Rafe becomes a huge issue.

Rafe has returned home and made a name for himself as a playboy. After losing his first love, he’s determined that he’ll never have another relationship, or anyone other than family and the guys at the firehouse to rely on him. He thinks he is broken, and doesn’t want to chance the hurt again. But with Kaitlyn, he’s found that he wants more – the problem is that she doesn’t believe it – and won’t give him a chance. Until his grandmother forces their togetherness, with a dash of help from the universe and asbestos, and the two find themselves actually talking and maybe even moving forward in a relationship that isn’t simply friendship.

This book had it all – the skittish hero and heroine, plenty of family input to push and pull buttons, the holidays and an adorable puppy that needs a home and lots of love, just like Rafe and Kaitlyn. When you add in a whole town determined to see Kaitlyn succeed, plenty of danger in Rafe’s job as a firefighter, lots of ‘family’ moments and cheer for the holiday and a wonderful series of “oh I want to taste that” cookies, all under the watchful eyes of the angels at the falls – and the story won’t miss a tug at your happy place.

The perfect addition to the Angel Falls series!

I was in the mood for a Christmas romance and All I Want for Christmas had the perfect ingredients.

Kaitlyn Barnes has had a thing for Rafe Langdon for a while. Her friendship with him grew into love. Just one problem.... Rafe doesn't want to settle down. He's not ready to open up his heart again. But when a night together has a permanent outcome, Kaitlyn and Rafe will have to decide what's best for them.

I was intrigued by Kaitlyn and Rafe. They had great chemistry and their story began in a prior book. I knew this was coming and I was super excited to read their book.

Kaitlyn was independent and smart. She knew she might not be able to count on Rafe and she was prepared to do what was right for her. She also started helping her niece, who by all means needed her help. It was nice to see how they were able to develop a much better relationship.

Rafe had to learn loss at a younger age. I couldn't blame him for not wanting to experience this type of pain again. It was funny to me to see how he was already too late. He loved Kaitlyn way before they shared that night together.

Miranda Liasson did a great job. The characters were likable and lovable. I love how Nonna sped up a situation, I love that we get a puppy added to the equation and having the rest of the Langdon family around only made this book more memorable.

The Angel Falls series is becoming one of my favorite small-town romances. I hope this is not the last one.

Cliffhanger: No

I love Hallmark Christmas movies but I rarely read Christmas romance novels. I am a complicated woman. Anyway, this year I want to try to read a few more winter holiday themed books. I read Puppy Christmas a few weeks ago and that was a let down. So after Miranda’s recent post about friends to lovers reminded me how much I love that trope, I had renewed interest in this book.

The heroine, Kaitlyn, runs a small coffee shop in a small town. She’s had feelings for her friend Rafe for a long time. A few months ago they both had a little too much to drink at a wedding and had sex. They used at least two forms of birth control, which is explained in the book, yet Kaitlyn got pregnant. I LOVE an accidental pregnancy. Especially if it truly is an accident and not, oops we had unprotected sex and now they are pregnant.

CW: Accidental pregnancy, deceased parent, mention of car crash and a deceased character’s pregnancy loss

Anyway, now that Kaitlyn is pregnant, it gives her and Rafe a chance to connect as more than just friends and actually fall in love. The story is sweet and sensual and has some tension to it. Rafe had a previous relationship that ended and he thinks he isn’t over it. He thinks he isn’t worthy of love and that he has no love to give. But of course we as the reader know that isn’t true. They work it out and all the things come together perfectly. Well at least perfectly for this couple.

There is an plot point where Kaitlyn is trying to win a cookie contest and it felt like the weakest point of the book. At least the actual contest. She submits the recipe but doesn’t have to actually bake it for the contest. In the age of reality tv baking shows, that felt a little too quaint for me.

This book is cute and sweet and truly did remind me of a Hallmark movie. Small town, large family, some meddling by a sort of ailing grandparent, a troubled niece, and a couple falling in love. Overall this was an enjoyable read and I would be willing to read Liasson again.

Rafe and Kaitlyn have known each other for years, she's best friends with his sisters and a real part of his family. They've been the best of friends who enjoy hanging out, laughing and are able to talk about anything. That changes when they have one night together. Not able to really face each other and admit that the one night truly meant something to each of them, they avoid each other and when they are together neither will admit that they care. When Kaitlyn starts feeling ill and takes a pregnancy test which is positive, she knows she has to tell Rafe. When they tell his family, everyone is exciting that they are finally together. When he tells his grandmother they will raise the baby as friends, she ends up in the hospital and makes them promise they'll get married. They go along with it to make her feel better but Rafe is scared because of his past which he finally comes clean with Kaitlyn about. When she has a scare with the baby every bit of progress he's made toward the relationship is gone as he faces his biggest fear. He pushes her away and when he realizes he shouldn't have and tries to talk to her, she pushes him away. They have a lot to work through and luckily they have family on their side to help them get through to their real feelings! Love the way Ms. Liasson develops her characters and the way they interact with each other. There's lots of love and laughter throughout the story. I received an ARC from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

A Christmas friends-to-lovers story with a surprise baby? Yes!!

Rafe and Kaitlyn have been friends for a while. One night they give into their secret crush on each other and everything changes.

I loved this story!! Kaitlyn was a strong, independent character. Rafe was the charming playboy. They were fantastic as friends but their chemistry was off the charts! Definitely a great story to end this series.
