This is the story of Abby, and Hudson. This was enjoyable, entertaining, sweet, and steamy! 3.5 stars

I’ve never thought I’ve been into the billionaire trope, but dang. Maybe I need to rethink things. This was really good! It had a solid plot with plenty of steam to keep things nice and fun! The chemistry between these two was so much fun to read about! Would recommend!

Abby is mistaken for her twin sister and goes along for the ride on a trip to Paris with her sister's new boss to arrange a deal. Good writing and interesting characters, but maybe a boss romance is not for me. It kind-of turned me off that he's clearly in a position of power and she is desperate enough to pose as her own twin.

This was different from what I was expecting- in a good way! Not a plotless book focused on sex, but don’t worry still steamy as well! I liked the depth to Abby and how we get to see more and more of the true Hudson revealed.

The story The Bad Twin by Avery Scott is a new adult romance book.

Abby is a young woman who has an identical twin. She considers herself the responsible one while her sister seems to just cruise through life. Abby is smart, beautiful, and independent.

Hudson is a man that works for the family business. He is haunted by the past. His father is at times harsh and Hudson feels his displeasure at his decisions. He is working on the deal of a lifetime.

What will happen when he mistakes Abby for her sister? Abby finds herself in Paris with Hudson. She also finds herself attracted to him. They seem to have a connection. Will Hudson find out the truth about who she is? What does the future hold for Hudson and Abby?

This was an average read.
It was enjoyable at first, but I didn't feel the connection between the two main characters at all. In fact, they were so bland and average that I don't even remember their names even though I just finished the book yesterday.
It was so painfully obvious he didn't bring the right sister on his trip, I don't know how he stayed oblivious all this time!

I feel like this was a strong case of insta-love, more like insta-lust, which I hate.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this sweet story. It wasn't filled with over the top drama and the perfect HEA ending. Would recommend for any romance reader.

The Bad Twin by Avery Scott fully counts as a guilty pleasure read. In the best possible way. Abby Levesque is the good twin, at least in comparison to her sister Gabby, who flakes on jobs, parties all night, and sometimes finds herself on random road trips just because. Abby Levesque is the good twin, but when Gabby's boss shows up at the door to pick Gabby up for a business trip and mistakes Abby for her missing sister, she jumps in an covers for her. Abby is the good twin, but when she falls in love with her major hottie boss, she's pretty sure she's the bad twin.

I read this at the end of a week long international vacation. Primarily, while flying from Marrakesh to Casablanca to Lisbon and dealing with cancelled flights and being trapped in airports and maybe hiding away in a luxury resort for a few days (maybe). All of that is to say that I had the best setting to read this book, and I loved every minute of it.

Lets do the not so great first: this is a pretty standard romance with blatant sex scenes. As per the standard, plot holes galore, city stuff is clearly googled, and basic logical fallacies all over. Hear me out though, that's a good thing here. Basically, I told myself "this is bizzaro world" and just relaxed into the campy beauty of a mistaken identify romance.

Abby is a sweetheart, but she needs a backbone. Hudson is a troubled playboy, but he just needs someone to see through his bad boy shell to see the good man he really is. It's a match made in heaven pairing these two together.

I would definitely read another Avery Scott romance novel without hesitation.

This was an enjoyable book to read. It had a simple plot but kept me absorbed and wanting to know what happens to Abby. I enjoyed the description of Paris and the art areas. Pleased it had a happy ending. Recommend this book to be read if you want an enjoyable read.

The Bad Twin by Avery Scott is a stand alone contemporary romance. Being the good twin isn't all it's cracked up to be. Abby Levesque knows that better than anyone. While her sister drifts through life carefree, Abby's left to clean up her messes. The latest mess? Hudson Quinn— the hot, angry billionaire on her doorstep demanding she accompany him to Paris. He's obviously mistaken her for her twin, Gabby, who happens to be his assistant. Too bad Gabby is nowhere to be found. If Abby wants to fix her sister's latest blunder, she'll have to pretend to be someone else for two weeks—preferably someone who isn't wildly attracted to her mercurial boss. As far as Hudson's concerned, his sexy-but-flaky new personal assistant is just another in a long line of terrible decisions and failures in his life. But he's working on the deal of a lifetime—a deal that could change everything for him—and he needs her help to close it. The last thing he ever expected was to connect with her on a soul-deep level. Falling in love wasn't part of the job, and when Hudson finds out who she really is, Abby's terrified he'll never forgive her. With a billion-dollar deal—and both their hearts—on the line, can Abby convince Hudson she's the right twin for him?

The Bad Twin has some great points, and some things that just did not work for me. I liked Abby for the most part. She is hanging on by a thread and doing everything she can to keep herself- and her twin- in the house the love, fed, and with electricity. Her sister is no help, and causes more problems that aiding in solutions. I can understand the desperation of pretending to be Gabby and getting herself in the difficult situation. I can even understand Hudson not noticing- because he is so focused and driven on the business side that I suspect subtle differences are sometimes unnoticed. I liked the get to know you between the characters, and the slow build between them. I think the big reveal that Abby was not Gabby could have come sooner- and it would have worked better for me. I felt like the book was almost over at the point and the final coming together was more of an afterthought rather than the big climax of the story. I would have like some more 'coming to terms' time for the couple together. I also had some issues with the fact that the smart twin never thought to have the artwork in her house appraised. Just for insurance purposes that would have been the responsible thing to do- but when you are scrounging to get utilities turned back on I would think the idea of selling at least the art you do not like would have been considered. I also was a little bothered by the sudden personality change of Gabby toward the end- I liked the idea, and the majority of the writing but the last few chapters just fell flat for me.

The Bad Twin is a love story with a great premise and good characters. It was an enjoyable read but it did not grab me the way I was hoping it would.

I must say, I loved every book in this series!!!! Avery Scott did an excellent job writing this book. I could not put it down until I was finished!!!

I had a hard time getting into this book. I felt that the dialogue was cheesy and superficial. I felt the characters were boring and, also, superficial. It didn’t pull on any heart strings. It was one big cheese fest.

I thought this was a very cute read. Definitely a basic romance with the European magic to get tangled up in the mistaken identity plot. Abagail could be endearing. Seemed like she was really stressed so I'm glad she did what she did so she could loosen up and find herself again. Her twin was hilariously normal, someone who didn't care about anyone except herself. I wish I'd seen more of her in the end so that things felt like they came full circle. Hudson was really hot in the beginning and he turned adorable as the story progressed. He was sort of where a lot of the hiccups came, for me. Small things that mattered, like sending Abagail off with a new credit card after she fixed something she'd initially messed up. Like, I'm sorry... but she's your PA: take her with you and finish up business. You know?

I thought the writing was good. A little fast-paced but the details of Paris had no trouble taking up pages to describe all the beautiful walks Abagail had down the European streets. You can really tell the author loves Paris, or she's just that good a writer. I'd probably check out one of her latest works, and if you love romance and the drama of lying, check this out.

Okay, ever since I started reading my first romances, I have LOVED the identical twin/ mistaken identity story. Loved it. From Rosemary Rogers onward.
What I really appreciated about The Bad Twin, is that the bad twin isn't actually bad. She just hasn't found her niche yet. The relationship between the sisters doesn't get too negative, which is a big phew for me.
The same for the hero's relationship with his family. As a huge part of our lovers finding each other, they both learn to rethink preconceived notions and listen to the people in their lives.
Yes, it was a lovely story about finding and falling in love, and some steamy lovemaking, but I loved the individual growth for each character, even the "bad" twin.

Twins switching places is an old but fun storyline. I have always enjoyed it so I loved this story. It's a fun and enjoyable way to spend a few hours. I like both of the characters and the plot works very well. Great story!
