What a gloriously interesting festive treat this was. I wasn't expecting to be immersed in the Christmas spirit while in the middle of Tuscany. The references to the traditional Italian was of celebrating the holiday were as interesting as the descriptions of the food were mouthwatering. The setting of the story benefited from a sprinkling of snow and a visit into the mountains, in keeping with the Christmas spirit, and the scenes where the characters had fun with arts and crafts were lovely.
This book, more than the other one I've read, as the title suggests, was based on the keeping and the revealing of secrets, and some of them were quite a surprise. There was also more romance in this book, and plenty of wrapping up of all the loose ends.
A fitting end to the trilogy and a delightful Christmas read.
Izzie is heading back to Tuscany to help run a festive baking and craft course at Villa Limoncello, but it's not just the stunning scenery that's luring her back. After only a couple of months she is already missing the villa's dark, brooding owner Luca and she desperately wants to talk to him about what their future holds. But when she touches down in Italy it seems the heart to heart she craves is the last thing on Luca's mind with his focus firmly on the course they are delivering. Where does that leave the couples fledgling romance though and will Izzie be returning home alone after Christmas?
Nick and his choir are taking a Tuscan break away to practice for their upcoming festive concerts whilst learning some new skills but there's more to the group than meets the eye. With strained relationships and a host of secrets binding the group together will they be about to work together and make a success of their week in Italy or will it break them apart?
If you are on the lookout for a fun, fabulous festive read then look no further than this brand new offering from the equally fabulous Daisy James. As with her other novels I've read her easy writing style draws you in from the first sentence and keeps you frantically turning the pages until it's climax.
When I started reading this book I actually had no idea is was the third in a series, but this didn't detract from my enjoyment as Daisy has seamlessly woven details into this new story that allowed me as a reader to understand the relationships and events from the previous books. This book held a special allure for me because of it's festive backdrop and it delivered ten-fold with it's delicious food that had my mouth watering throughout - I highly recommend having some snacks to hand whilst reading to stave off the hunger it creates!
I particularly enjoyed the relationships between the characters taking part in the Villa's course and second guessing the mysteries surrounding their often tense interactions. Luca and Izzie seem to make the perfect detective duo as they take on the role of discovering how they can help their guests resolve their problems, despite brushing their own issues under the carpet!
The scenic backdrop of Tuscany and the characters trip into Florence were both beautifully described transporting me to Italy to enjoy it alongside the characters. Florence is one of my favourite cities and Daisy's description was so perfect I was (almost) tempted to hop on the next available plane!
I absolutely adored this festive book filled with romance and mystery and finished it in a couple of sittings. It would make the perfect read in the run up to Christmas to really get you in the mood, especially if you are a fan of festive food. I'd highly recommend this read and I've already added the previous books in the series to my TBR list as I'm super keen to find out more about the character's backstories as well as discover Tuscany's charm during different seasons.
The ‘Snowflakes and Christmas Cakes’ course is in full swing at Villa Limoncello and Izzy Jenkins is in her element. Organising and teaching a fresh batch of guests with her handsome business partner Luca Castelotti
The latest group of guests, members of a community choir, have plenty of secrets and a few nasty accidents are making Izzy incredibly suspicious and worried about the reputation of the Villa.
While dealing with all of this, Izzy has a huge decision to make. She has been offered her dream job, back in England. Does she stay at the Villa and follow her heart or does she follow her head and return home?
I haven’t read the other books in this series, which didn’t really effect the reading of this instalment. The missed opportunities and lack of communication between the characters did frustrate me at times. However it didn’t impact my enjoyment of the novel and I will happily read the others in the series.
I am loving these books and jumped at the chance to visit Tuscany again and the gorgeous Villa Limoncello.
I love the magic that has been created in these stories between the Villa and Carlotta and it's ability to slow everyone down and help them rediscover happiness.
I am a foodie and love the food and crafts throughout this book and the recipes at the end so that you can try and recreate some of the Tuscan magic in your own kitchen. The book is brimming with fantastic characters, that create the feeling that you are right there in Tuscany with them. A book that leaves you with a hankering for home cooked mince pies and a visit to the gorgeous Tuscan sights.
A superb addition to the series where once again you get swept away and before you know it you have reached the end of the book.
A beautifully written, wonderful festive uplifting read that is not just for Christmas but would a great read anytime of the year.
Daisy James did not disappoint!!!
Lovely festive read. It was a heart warming romance. It was a wonderful book to read. It was well written and flowed well.
Another great story about the people connected to Villa Limoncello and the different packages they put together.
Set in Tuscany, the description of location, food and traditions bring the whole area alive.
Will the Villa continue to make people happy and make the adventure a real success?
It's a great light read that keeps you wanting to read more.
Izzy works as a designer however a short while ago she took a trip to Italy and fell in love not only with the country. She loves Luca and is helping him run courses at Villa Limoncello whilst he and some friends are renovating it. Luca seems a little distant so she is not sure what is going on and he wopn;t be drawn on the matter. The course gets underway for a choir who each morning are either cooking or crafting. Their leader Nick is rather a bully and Izzy catches him having a go at several of the members of the choir. When a plant pot falls rather close to Nick’s head she wonders if someone has a different agenda. I learnt something from this book -apart from having to keep looking up the wonderful baking goodies mentioned. There are recipes at the back including how to make Lemoncello. Yum! I learnt that I am a locavore- someone who eats locally sourced food as much as possible. I really enjoyed reading this. SOmething that little bit different. Of making the most of your life, even through the difficulties that life may throw at us, to follow your heart and most of all do what makes you happy which isn’t always what is expected of us. Although the recipes and crafts are seasonal this is a book that could be enjoyed any time of year. A wonderful uplifting read.

How wonderful to be back in Tuscany, this time in December and with a festive feel to the new course that Luca and Izzie are putting on. I'll admit like Izzie I had no expectations of snow in Tuscany, but apparently there is some!
I loved all the Italian food in this story, and also all the Christmas crafts that Izzie came up with. I wish I was talented enough to try to make some myself, as they sounded fabulous.
This addition to the series didn't have a mystery as such in it, or at least nothing for Luca and Izzie to try their hands at amateur detecting again, but just from early conversations with each guest, you could see that there are a lot of secrets amongst themselves to see if they would be revealed during the book.
I did though want to bang Luca and Izzie's heads together, as one simple honest conversation at the start of the week would have really helped (but the story would have been a lot shorter and less enjoyable), but I'll admit I am incredibly satisfied with how the series has been brought to a conclusion.
It was so great to catch up with my favourite Italian residents in the local area, I do love a familiar face in a series, and this one had plenty of them.
I've loved all three books of this Villa Limoncello series, and this was no exception. Filled with all the best things Tuscany has to offer, some sexy men, delicious food, great craft ideas and plenty of secrets and intrigue - I whizzed through the pages in a state of pure bliss.
Thank you to Netgalley and Canelo for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily
I enjoyed this book, which. Is a follow on from the previous books in the series. I must admit that I thought the stories had run their course but was very pleasantly surprised to find this book just as enjoyable as the previous ones. Well known characters appeared once again and the long running almost romance continued. New characters added to the interest. A satisfying conclusion completed my enjoyment of the book.
This series! Daisy James never fails to entertain!!!
I love these books and am hoping for many more!!!
**OMG! I cannot believe that these reviews haven't been done! I am so sorry they are so late!!!**
Loved this book. Great characters, easy read, uplifting, funny, romantic and charming. A really nice story that is the perfect escapist read.
This is a great romantic Christmas story that is not the typical snow and turkey kinda book. You really do feel as if you are enjoying the sounds and smells of Italy. If you wish you were in a foreign destination this Christmas, but family dictates that you stay at home, this book will provide you with the perfect escape!
A Christmas gift wrapped in a beautiful cover!
I have enjoyed the exploits of Izzie and the very dreamy sounding Luca in the last 2 books and was very excited to see the Christmas book.
When reading this series I find myself immersed in Villa Limoncello and its amazing gardens in Tuscany as Daisy writes with so much description, you can almost smell the lemons and the coffee.
A beautiful romance with the added bonus of several recipes in the book!
I love this series by the talented Daisy James. All her novels are excellent and bring me into the world of the characters very easily. I simply love all the covers, they really draw your attention to them how all three are really similar.
The descriptions of the delicious sounding treats they were baking sounded so good I wanted to eat them all!! I also loved reading about the decorations they made. It was really festive and magical. I loved reading about the same characters as the last two novels and it was nice to hear about them and what they have been up to since the last book.
As for the characters, once again I adored Izzie's character. She seemed down to earth and like such a caring person. I also liked Luca (although he seemed a bit confusing in this one and I wasn't as keen on him as before!) and the fabulous Jonti. However, the thing that made me love these novels was the location. It just sounded idyllic in every season. Add the setting and the sweet treats together and you've got yourself a perfect novel!
One thing I really liked about this novels is the mystery to all of the storylines. It's different to what I usually read so I was enjoying being on the edge of my seat to find out all the secrets and also to find out which character done what! It was an interesting and unputdownable read that I throughly enjoyed. I can't wait to see if there are more novels in this series in the future!
Another absolutely delicious and stunning read from Daisy James. This is another book I haven't wanted to put down. It is a wonderful story. I love Izzy and Luca, their romance makes me smile and I really like reading about them. They are such likeable and realistic characters it's hard not to want to know more and more. I have loved the Christmas setting of this book, it's a perfect Christmas read. Also, a perfect time for romance. This is a book guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face. Daisy James writes beautifully and in a way that completely engages me in the story. I love that she has produced a romance in a magnificently romantic location. This is a wonderful book that definitely deserves a five star rating.
Merry Christmas, Tuscan-style! Author Daisy James’ latest in the Villa Limoncello holiday romance series, this is Tuscan Dreams number 3, is bursting with all the joys of the season that you can imagine. Do you want beautiful scenery, savory Tuscan meals and desserts, marvelous craft sessions and cooking classes, Christmas choirs and carols every day, and even some snow? It’s all here in this festive, clean and wholesome romance.
The heroine, Izzie Jenkins has returned to Villa Limoncello and the dashing Luca to help with the fledgling Tuscan getaway. She and chef-businessman Luca will be entertaining an English community choir for a week with the Snowflakes and Christmas Cakes program. Izzie brings with her some problems and decisions that must be solved and she longs for the beautiful effect of the Villa (and Luca!) to calm her soul. Instead she experiences more secrets and problems than pleasures as she bonds with some of the chorister guests and deals with the changeable Luca.
Izzie and Luca are lovable characters and we meet many more interesting people during our week in Tuscany. The townspeople and workers at the Villa, and the various choir members share their quirks, passions and problems as the story unfolds. Add to this the opportunity to visit around Tuscany, from small towns to Florence, and you will discover plenty of sights, sounds, smells and tastes that make the story come alive.
As I had not read the first two books in the series, the first half of the book dragged for me, as it was filled with the backstory that slowed down the story. However, once the story advanced, I was quickly caught up in the beautiful descriptions of the sights and activities, as well as the inner-workings of the characters. And of course, I was rooting for a happy-ever-after ending, which could have come about in several ways! “Villa Limoncello was truly a place where hearts could heal and happiness could blossom.”
The book finishes with many delightful recipes, which was the perfect ending to this tasty and satisfying story. Thanks to NetGalley and Canelo for a digital review copy. This is my honest review.
A Trip Back To Villa Limoncello......
A Trip back to the Villa Limoncello - It's Christmastime and the atmosphere is abuzz with festivities. It's also abuzz with secrets and our likeable protagonist, Izzie, must delve deep to save the hotels reputation. An atmospheric, descriptive and escapist read. Ideal for a bit of early festive spirit.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. I read the first book in the series, and hadn't realised there was one in the middle. That didn't spoil this read. I'm a bit surprised though that it's taken three books for Izzie and Luca to confess their feelings for each other (and even that was rushed at the end). This is the problem with sequels or a trilogy like this one. The romance has to either be drawn out, or they get together and then there are problems, all in an effort to keep the story going. The characters there for the baking/craft course were a nice addition, although I can't help thinking too much of a drama was made about the plant pot and the wine stain. It felt a bit necessary really. On the plus side, this is a nice easy read for Christmas. I loved learning about the Italian take on Christmas, and the author's descriptions of the scenery is, as always, outstanding. It really allows you to put yourself there. Daisy James excels at this. I just wish that she'd stuck with one or two books max. with these characters, and gone more in-depth with them.
I have fallen in love with this series by the talented Daisy James. I absolutely adore her novels but for some reason, the Tuscan Dreams series has a special place in my heart! I adore the covers, they really draw your attention to them and I love how all three are really similar. This one in particular is so magical because of the deep, dark colours and of course the snow and fairy lights surrounding the cover.
This one I was especially excited to read, because not only is the novel set in gorgeous Tuscany, it's also set at Christmas time! I mean, what more could you want?! I adored the descriptions of the delicious sounding treats they were baking and I also loved reading about the decorations they made. It was really festive and magical. I really enjoyed reading about the same characters as the last two novels (not that this matters as you could still read this as a standalone, it would just be better for yourself to read the first two because they're so good!), it was nice to hear about them and what they have been up to since the last book.
It was an interesting and unputdownable read that I throughly enjoyed. I can't wait to see if there are more novels in this series in the future! Thank you to the publisher for an advance copy of this novel via Netgalley, which I have reviewed honestly.
