One Man is tough for me to review just because I liked it but then I didn’t.
What I absolutely loved was the romance between Emma and Jax. Swoon. The couple just fits and you are rooting for them from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see how their dynamic grows with all of their family drama.
Now on to what I didn’t like, I felt like the story was going in a constant loop. That just might be me, but it took a little bit of determination to get past the parts that weren’t focused on the relationship of Emma and Jax. It felt dragged out at times especially since the story goes day by day with a bunch of info all thrown together.
Overall I thought it was a decent day read. I’m excited to see how the story unfolds in the next two books.
Thanks for the advanced copy Netgalley!

I received a free copy of One Man from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I have mixed feelings about this book.
The only reason I finished reading this book was because I was so eager to know what exactly happened and it ended in a cliffhanger.
Many subjects were repeated often. It felt like I was reading the same sentence over and over.
It seemed a bit farfetched that Jax and Emma connected so quickly and started plotting.
There was no breathing room for the characters, no space to develop and let the story unfold naturally.
I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I don't think I'll be reading the next book in the series.
This is the first book in a trilogy and it does end on a cliffhanger it is at times dark and brutal but it is also a wonderful love story

This is the first book in the Naked Trilogy, and the story of Jax North, and Emma Knight. This was an amazing read, the characters have great chemistry, it's emotional, passionate, steamy, intense, suspenseful, and mysterious. This ends on a big cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next book in the series. This is a must read!
One Man leaves you wanting more! Lisa Renee Jones is a master of taking you on a journey with so many twists you’re dizzy by the end. One Man does end on a huge cliffhanger so if that’s not for you, you have been warned.
One thing is certain about this book; it makes you want to keep reading, and as the pace setter for a trilogy, the author has indeed invested in both romance and suspense.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
As much as I hate them, Lisa Renee Jones is well known for her intense and heart-stopping cliff-hangers, and the first book of the Naked series has a doozy! With a storyline that will set readers on the edge of their seat and keep them perched there till the last page is turned, the mystery, intrigue and explosive chemistry are just some of the elements that will reel you in.
As with so many other stories by this author One Man starts with a bang and only gets better as the story progresses. The characters are interesting, but Jax North is mouth-watering, so for him alone I will endure the seemingly endless wait till the next instalment of this series. As cliff-hangers go, the final scene of this book is mind-blowing! So be prepared, but I’m sure you will agree that the outcome will be worth every painful, anxious moment of suspense; we can but wait and see.
Wow, what a cliffhanger! This is definitely not a stand-alone book, and I will be reading the sequel ASAP. I've read a few other books by this author and really liked them, so it was fun to see a couple cameos of characters from those books. This started out fast-paced and kept right on going until the absolute end, so there was no time for boredom. There is a lot of secrets and power struggles to figure out amidst tragedy, and the main protagonists Emma and Jax have to figure out who they can trust, and that includes each other. The chemistry between them is instantaneous, steamy and intense, and I loved getting both of their viewpoints throughout the story to see how their relationship develops. I cannot wait to find out what happens to them in the next book!

I love Lisa Renee Jones' writing and I have read many of her books.
This book is so freaking good. It was one I just couldn't put down.
I love the story and the characters and I do recommend this book.
4.5 stars--ONE MAN is the first instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult NAKED erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on thirty-four year old, billionaire financial planner for North Whiskey Jax North, and twenty-eight year old hotel heiress Emma Knight.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Jax and Emma) ONE MAN follows the building enemies to lovers relationship between thirty-four year old, billionaire financial planner for North Whiskey Jax North, and twenty-eight year old hotel heiress Emma Knight. Jax North is seeking revenge against the Knight family, and Emma Knight is his obvious target. The recent ‘death’ of his brother finds Jax seeking answers, answers he believes are hidden deep within the Knight organization. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Jax and Emma, and the potential fall-out as there is more to the story than anyone could have imagined.
The relationship between Emma and Jax is extraordinarily sexual for two strangers who have never previously met or spoken to one another. Emma doesn’t know who to trust including the brother she loves but the recent death of her father brings to the surface too many secrets, and a dark and sordid past. Jax North is a constant beacon of light in Emma’s gradually darkening world, but a beacon that holds many secrets of his own. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
ONE MAN reveals some of the background and history between several players in a game of power, struggle, and the ultimate control. Lisa Renee Jones dances around the numerous secrets and lies, holding back the most important information for future reveal. The premise is intriguing, engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are colorful, energetic and dynamic-several characters cross over from the author’s Filthy Trilogy, and her Tall, Dark and Deadly series with the appearance of Walker Security team members. ONE MAN follows a familiar formulaic pattern-one that the author has used before.
ONE MAN ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
