Great, fast paced read that keeps you wanting to read more. Many twists in this first book that has me hooked that I can't wait to read the next 2 books to see what happens. Highly suggest reading!
I absolutely love all of LRJ's work and this book was no exception. Even though I'm late to this series, it was worth the wait. I loved the characters and their story and now I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Ashley used to be a paralegal in New York City before she entered the witness protection program. They told her the man she loved was dangerous and that he was ex-CIA. For the last six months, she has been hiding in the state of Texas after she was relocated. She fears the man she once loved will come for her, and she's feels divided on how she feels. He is a man who has betrayed her but she also loves the man who was her fiance.
This book had a Jason Borne feel to it. It was action-packed! I enjoyed the style of writing the author utilized. I delved quickly into this book and became invested in Ashley and Noah.
I would rate part one of this book a 5 out of 5. Mostly because when part one concluded, I yelled at my husband from my bedroom about how frustrated I was about it ending abruptly just as I was getting into the storyline. I would definitely purchase Part II so I can get a resolution!

I love Lisa Renee Jones and this one didn’t disappoint. Ashley is on the run with a new name and identity but feels like she is being watched. Then Noah shows up and knowing he is who she is running from but loving him and wanting him still has her all sorts of confused. Noah is back and going to do everything he can to prove to Ashley what others have convinced her he is isn’t true. With a hit out on both of them Noah will do anything to keep Ashley safe.
Having previously read a Part 1 to another LRJ trilogy (One Man from Naked Trilogy), I was thinking she typically does a pretty good job. That was my guess based on the volume of stories she's written and the fandom she's amassed.
I liked Dirty Rich Secrets, the pull of these characters was nice. My only regret is that I'm not aloud to get further in this story without purchasing the next one. It's kind of the worst tease ever with no satisfaction, which makes me want to dock .5-1 star from my 3/5 review already.
First book in the three part series (part of a bigger series I believe) and a cliffhanger as always. I don't know why I go in thinking it won't be a cliffhanger but here we are haha.
A shorter novella type read, this one had me all over the map from the beginning. I feel like I needed to read previous books, I believe Ashley was in Dirty Rich Cinderella but not everyone may feel that way.
Lots of twists and turns and of course a big cliffhanger, did I mention the cliffhanger part lol. I came to part one late but two and I believe three are ready to go so I can continue on quickly.
Enjoyed part one, on to the next.
I was hooked from page one. Characters and storyline were amazingly done and I was disappointed when it ended, what felt like, really quickly. The pages flew by and I need the next book like yesterday! Lisa just draws me in and I don’t ever want to leave.
Either write a complete book or don't bother. What really annoys me is cliff hangers and the expectation that further editions will be purchased. Sorry no.
It's like a little snippet into what happens to Ashley. We've all wondered about the why's behind Noah and her relationship. You get a chance at a few answers. But as the author explains Ashley and Noah are too complex for one book, which would've been much longer than her normal books, so instead we get three novellas. Be prepared for two cliffys. But she's not torturing is since they come out very close together.
I was hooked on this book! Wow! It was great and I could not put it down. I can't wait to read the entire series. When your past keeps pulling you stronger than you can resist, your choices become more and more important! Give me more!
<b><i> I need him. I want him. I hate him. I love him. </i></b>
This book was an easy and quick read. I felt like I've just started reading it and suddenly, I was already at the end.
I like the story but, maybe it's just me, everything happened really fast. I liked the characters and their chemistry. Even though Noah/Aaron was painted as the bad guy in the beginning, I didn't buy it. I was team Noah right from the start.*_*
<b><i> "Don't run," he says softly. "I've waited too damn long to see you again to have you run from me."</i></b>
There is something about the writing of this author that I really like. I can relate to the situations and the characters. You can get to know their backstory through Ashley's flashbacks but somehow I was longing for more of their relationship before. Well maybe we'll get that in one of the next books.
<b><i> I do, but he tastes like the only man I've ever loved. He feels like the only man I've ever loved. He smells like the man I thought I'd marry. He's the only safe place I've known my entire life.</i></b>
Oh and of course, the book ends with a huge cliffhanger. Seems to be typical for the author, since I just finished reading one of her other books. Needless to say, I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I'm eager to see how Ashley and Noah/Aaron get out of this whole mess.

I want more! I was hooked from the first few pages. I plan to go back and read the other books in the series and can't wait for the next one to come out.
This book just hooked you in right away. It jumps right into the fact that Ashley is in witness protection after finding out her fiance has lied to her and put her in danger. In her new undisclosed location, she comes home to find Aaron in her bedroom telling her he did not lie and she needs to trust him. They go on the run and Ashley is so confused if she can trust the man she was going to marry or trust what the government told her.
Though I wish there could have been more details on how they met and their backstory, this book does give you action and romance. The ending....oh my god! Now i need to read Part 2!!!
Knew when I started this I would be left with a cliff hanger wanting more, right now, and yep! I need more. Can't wait for the next part to be released. Hoping these will all be in paperback format so my customers can enjoy!
Lisa Renee Jones kills me with her cliff hangers! As always, she's created an intriguing story with well defined and likable characters but leaves the reader hanging in the worst, tantalizing way.
The book's description indicates Ashley is from Dirty Rich Cinderella Story and correctly lets the reader know that it's not necessary to have read that book. I never felt lost in Ashley's backstory.
Noah/Aaron's story is intense and always in question. He seems genuine but is he? Ashley is rightfully confused and doesn't know if she can trust the one man she's loved with her whole heart.
There's a lot of action in this story, plenty of intense attraction and lots and lots of questions. I look forward to Part Two.
This book left me absolutely breathless. It flashes by in a torrent of action and intrigue. I haven’t read the parts of the Dirty Rich series that directly ties into this book, and it stands well on its own. There are some asides that Ashley reminisces about that I think would have more impact on me if I new the rest of the background from the series, but I don’t feel like I’m missing anything from this story by not having read it. However, that’s one heck of a cliff-hanger ending to close the book with. I’m pretty desperate now to get my hands of the rest of the story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley.
Ashley is a young girl who works as a paralegal. Well, not anymore. Because now she is in witness protection and her name is Sandy. She is hiding from her boyfriend. Because he is not who she thought. Even his name was fake 😒. And he is dangerous....
Or not?? Maybe he is the only one who can protects her.
Even though I don't really know what it's happening yet, I love it!! I can't wait to start part two. In fact, I'm starting it as soon as I finish writing this 😊.
This first part is short, fast and vivid. Honestly, I could imagine a movie in my head.
Thanks to the publisher for an arc to read and give my honest opinion .
Ashley is in witness protection to keep her hidden from her affianced Noah, an ex CIA operative gone supposedly rogue. In this part, Noah shows up to defend his innocence and vows to repair their relationship.
What did I like? The characters show some heat in this part but it’s fleeting. Almost instinctively they’re on the move to defend their lives when Ashley is taken from Noah.
Would I buy this book? It’s such a cliffhanger that I’d wait for the series to be out. It’s hard to read books that you will probably have to reread for the next book. But yes, buy it and wait for the whole series, the author is that good.
Thoughts for the author? These cliffhangers are getting to be too much.
Loved reading the engaging and enthralling first book in the Dirty Rich Secrets series. Ashley is in the Witness Protection Program because she trusted and fell in love with the wrong man, Noah, but Noah claims he was set up and didn't turn against his government. Noah claims he is there to protect Ashley from the people who are trying to kill them. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of suspense and romance, and a must read love story. Can't wait to read the second book in the series!
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.
