This was a fantastic book, wonderfully strong characters and enticing plot line. I really enjoy Katherine’s books and this one was definitely a winner

I read an early copy of this book for NetGalley. The following is my honest review.

I’ve read the first book in this series and I have read many other books by this author. I just didn’t enjoy this one as much as I thought. I felt like the story was rushed after the drove back to Texas from California.

This is book two in The Dangerous Delaneys, right hear I will say I’m looking forward to book three.
I haven’t read many books about race car drivers so this was different for me but so enjoyable.
Great epilogue, I especially loved the last line of the book by Finn, after the spicy tango of Finn and his love it was perfect.
I was given a ARC by the publisher through NetGalley in return for my honest review.

I love Last Stand, all of the authors under the publisher do such a wonderful job making this small town come to life in such a seamless and amazing way that you just want more, more, more. I went through this book so fast I was shocked and disappointed that I’d gotten to the end so fast. Finn and Lancey are both wounded characters with difficult pasta who are able to come together and love each other accepting the flaws and healing each other’s wounds. I totally fell for all the characters as they were so relatable.

Full Texas Throttle is book 2 in Katherine Garbera’s Dangerous Delaneys. I think the title of the series may be misleading to some who just read it then move on. This is not a mob story or involves criminal. The Delaneys are upstanding men who feel as if there is a love curse on the family. While this also could be considered a stand-alone, it is the first book that has the death of Rose and TJ which affects this story. I would encourage reads to read both.

This is a story of coming home and recovering after loss. Also it is one of taking the lemons that life has tossed your way and making lemonade. Former NASCAR driver Finn Delaney brother to Rose and Marine PFC Lancey Maverick sister to TJ are the focus of this story. This was an unusual pairing that really worked. Finn needs a strong woman who will not tolerate a man who is strong too. No more NASCAR driving for Finn but there is a road trip. Their relationship has plenty of bumps and potholes. Real characters in real situations in a great story.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved this book so much. As a NASCAR fan I enjoyed the race talk. As a fan of an author who has dealt with DVT I learned a lot more about the problem. The storyline itself is somber because of the reason that Lancey is discharged from the Marines & the reason the Finn isn’t driving anymore, but there’s something so catching about this story of two people finding themselves through tragedies. Little Lane brings the cuteness factor to full power & the chemistry between Finn & Lancey is so scorch the page hot that it all keeps you on the hook & doesn’t let you go. I’m not sure how author Katherine Garbera is going to top this book but I’m sure she will & I can’t wait to read it.

Confusion and the future plague both Finn and Lancey as they try to navigate a relationship that may never get off the ground. Racy sex scenes.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love the Delaney brothers. Finn, a NASCAR driver has been given bad news, a blood clot in his leg and he can no longer race. Finn returns home to Last Stand to help with the care his nephew along with Lancey, who also has returned home to help settle her deceased brother's affairs. A night of fun between Finn and Lancey will be just that, until their hearts get involved. Is Finn ready to settle down in one place?

Loved these characters, great dialogue and sexiness that keeps you turning the pages. Love this small town of Last Chance. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

4.5 stars.
A quote (from ARC):
“He gave a shout of laugh and she smiled. He smiled right back at her. And though she knew he was never going to be the kind of man that anyone would consider ‘sweet’, there was a gentleness in the way he was looking at her that made her want to hug him. She knew this was a side of Finn that not many people got to see.”

An unexpected romance between a cocky hero, who is an incorrigible flirt, and a strong, determined, yet tender heroine, happening when they’re both dealt a bad hand, makes “Full Texas Throttle”, by Katherine Garbera (Tule Publishing), an immensely satisfying and gripping read.
The hero, Finn, is an extremely attractive male character, hot and dangerous, a bad boy with a short temper, whose life is centered on driving. When his body betrays him, and he’s feeling like his life is falling apart, he gets scared and mad, and vulnerable – and that’s when we get to see gentle, kind, Finn (with the heroine or with his nephew). Finn’s despair when he feels like he will never be okay again is beautifully written.
Finn’s arrogance and the bad boy persona, which could make him just another cocky hero, blend with the vulnerability and the efforts he makes to cool his bad temper, making him so much more human and attractive. And he surely is a different type of wounded hero.
Lancey is a great heroine, too, honest, open and strong. So dedicated and invested in the new task of mothering her nephew.
I loved how the author wrote the main characters, both caught in the aftermath of grief and loss, the hero also messed up and confused because of his issues, yet struggling to overcome the obstacles while being honest with each other.

Next book about Delaney brothers, each can be read as a standalone.
Finn is a NASCAR driver but he gets bad news, he has deep vein thrombosis and can't race. He is back in Last Stand and is helping with his nephew after his sister died.
Lancey is back to Last Stand after her brother died to help raise her nephew.
Lancey and Finn have one night stand, which doesn't feel like that. Their relationship progress.
Great story, great characters.

I usually love Katherine Garbera's stories, especially having a won a collection of hers from Goodreads a while back. I was happy to see #2 in her Dangerous Delaney's available on NetGalley, recalling that #1 kicked off with a literal bang that set things in motion for the characters of Last Stand.

#2 Delaney bro, Finn, was pretty elusive in #1's story and I did notice how they set up #3 bro in this one. I thought the pairing of the 2 romantic leads here interesting and appreciated how the author flat out painted a not-so-smooth relationship. You can tell this is the kind of couple that will have a lot of ups and downs. A more real relationship than those that have reached their HEA.

Made me wonder, because this was not a simple love story or characters, if this story was more challenging to write. If so, I have to say it wasn't as easy to read. I'm sure they'll be plenty of readers who recognize life and love can be tough.

Overall, this was just ok for me.

Lancey and Finn's story is actually the second in the author's series, "The Dangerous Delaneys". This is a good read and revolves around the fact that Lancey and Finn meet when she has to settle her later brother's affairs. She is a former military hero and he is a Nascar driver. There is good chemistry and enjoyable characters. I would recommend this.

I was given a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

When I started this book I did not realize this was the second book following the Delaney family so was happy to see the story pick up from the end of first book when we learn the Rose and T.J. died and Lancey was coming home to help take care of Lane.

While Finn and Lancey were different personality types, they each had grown up in similar families where there was a single parent for most of their life (early they had both parents). The loss and pain from this made both Finn and Lancey shy away from commitment and were not willing to trust their hearts.

I loved that Lancey was realizing that she missed the female relationships in her life and that her little hometown was full of those relationship. Finn "ran away" from his small town life as soon as he could and didn't ever think he would look back until he lost that first love - racing. They both realize that they needed more in their life and his racing career and her military life were not as fulfilling as they originally thought.

The book was fun to read, loved their flirting, and the relationship they found with friends, and loved little Lane!

The story of Finn and Lancey.

Lancey is back in Last Stand after the death of her brother. She has given up her career in the military to look after her nephew - a nephew who she shares with Finn. There is an attraction between them, but he is keeping secrets and she is worried he is just using her while his career is stalled. Can he prove to her they can have a future?

A great read.

A heart-warming addition to The Dangerous Delaneys series, Full Texas Throttle by Katherine Garbera. This author know how to write a great book that pulls you in from first page. Likable characters, great dialogue and just the right amount of spiciness for the storyline.
