This is. simple story suited for young teens- a little romance, a little suspense. Character development is lacking. Thematic ideas of faith, forgiveness, and family are evident. Tired issue of parental pushing and projecting one’s goals onto one’s offspring... and living vicariously through one’s offspring. The most important piece for young people is the ramifications of the choices one makes and how those choices affect who one wants to be as a person.

I have not read anything by Gail Pallotta before. I believe Stopped Cold has made me want to read more by her. I am giving it four stars.
Stopped Cold is a well written book. Well crafted plot and characters. I didn’t realize this was a young adult book when I selected it, but I enjoyed it just the same thanks to the publisher for my complimentary copy. This is my unbiased review.
Margaret and Sean were close friends and siblings - they were good students and athletes. Their father expected them to succeed and he pushed Sean to his limits - Sean would do anything to succeed at football....
i think that this book would be a good one for junior high and high school aged students as it shows real world situations and how to deal with them.
Wow! This book had my attention from the first page! I read this book in one evening! Even though this is a young adult book, I really enjoyed it. It is told from the first person point of view which is my favorite way to tell a story. It is written from Margaret, a teenager's point of view. It has a little suspense and a little romance in it. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone! I would love to read more books by Gail Palotta.
I received this book from the publisher for my honest opinion.
