Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sukey and the team are drawn into a search for several missing women and school girls in and around Over Hampton. As a body is found they follow up clues involving the local Comprehensive, IT technicians and builders. With the help of her reporter friend Harry, Sukey follows up on her now famous hunches. Once again Sukey finds herself in a great deal of danger and hopes that someone will notice she had not returned to the Red Lion before she becomes one of the missing women.

An absolutely fabulous read and was very difficult to put down. I very much want to give it at least 10 stars.

Sukey Reynold's mysteries typically fall into the cozy mystery genre. While this one still has all of the elements we've grown to expect from Betty Rowlands, the story is a little edgier, the murder a little more shocking than usual. As Sukey and her team investigate a suspected suspicious death, they are also tasked to find two missing girls from the same town. Betty Rowlands has developed an excellent cast of characters and they are still growing and maturing. Where will she take them next?

Riveting Murder Mystery
What an excellent whodunnit and a great addition to the series. This story has so many twists, suspects and strange aspects. This was a tough book to put down. I love books like this that get the reader so completely wrapped up in the plot that the reader forgets about time. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in this series! I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

Death in the Village by Betty Rowlands was another inviting afternoon read for me.

Sukey has her hands full with this one as there are two mysteries that seem to be unrelated or are they? The plot moved smoothly with few suspects in the missing persons case and no suspects in the other mystery as it was deemed an accidental death. The twists as Sukey, Vicky and Harry began questioning locals in Over Hampton fuel Sukey's intuitition and she digs deeper with Harry's help. All in all this was another engaging read that kept me turning the pages.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Bookouture via NetGalley. All of the above opinions are my own.

I would rate this book a solid 3-3/4 stars ...which kinda surprised me considering how much good reviews it got! As much as I enjoyed the book, it plodded along to slow for my taste.. This was my first outing with this author, so unless she goes more into the character development in previous books, there is not much mentioned of it in this book ...which I though was a bit odd! This was a safe, easy book to read with some simple twists and turns to keep it interesting! I'm not British, and that being said, I found some of the slang a little hard to understand. This book was enough that I would look for further work from this author

I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this novel in return for a fair and unbiased review

This is Betty Rowlands back to her best. The village location, the variety of characters, the occasional stereotype, the heroine's hunches are coupled with modern day crime and deduction and I loved it!

Sukey Reynolds is enjoying life; no longer a rookie detective she is far more confident in her own abilities but still working a heavy caseload including the search for two missing teenagers and an accidental death which gives her a chance to include new beau, journalist Harry Matthews, in the investigation.

The coincidence of the two teenagers coming from the same village Sukey had visited during her recent investigation into an accidental death brings Harry's investigative talents to the fore and he is delighted to be able to help Sukey, albeit unofficially, in her work. This increases the chance to enjoy the private life as well as the working environment Sukey is now very comfortable in and made the book flow effortlessly to its conclusion and is definitely my favourite book in this series so far.

There were clues aplenty and once again I was sure I had it all solved only to be completely wrong. The actual perpetrator wasn't at all obvious to me, in fact I had dismissed them quite early on! The unsettling crimes enabled Ms Reynolds to once again confront situations which although less widely reported when this book was originally published were dealt with extremely well.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it to Ms Reynolds's fans everywhere as well as any cosy or village crime buffs who enjoy easily read satisfying fiction at its best.

One of my favourite mystery series does not disappoint in the 11th entry featuring Sukey Reynolds. Sukey is kept busy (at work and on her own time) helping to solve a maybe murder, and find missing girls. Lots of twists and turns and a new love interest for Sukey make for a riveting read.

It looks like a serial killer is striking women. The bones of a teen are found in a pile of ruble, another teen is missing, and the local gp is suspicious about the death of one of his patients. The CID are called in, and Sukey quickly gets involved.
I enjoyed this story, the characters were believable and the plot contained lots of twists and turns. The character Sukey has developed through the series and has become more realistic, the series is definitely improving and I would recommend this book.
Thank you to netgalley for an advance copy.

England, cosy-mystery, murder-investigation, law-enforcement

Talk about twisty! At first, there's just the insistent local doctor who says that the rural death was not simply an accident. Then there's the missing girl whose vanishing too closely mimics another case on the same footpath twenty years ago. Then an unsuspecting motorist finds a decaying hand/arm under a pile of rubble at a lay by. Lots of work for the team, but all the due diligence seems to go around in circles as the mystery keeps unfolding. Along the way Sukey reconnects with her neighbor's journalist son and he is able to be useful to the investigations. Excellent!

Another great hit, with the heroine of Sukey Reynolds, cop in training. This one has several different stories running along side, so the killer(s) is not necessarily easy to spot. A good twist, from killings in the past, to a young pregnant girl found buried under bricks, kept me guessing. Really liked this one, and highly recommend this book. author and series. Keeps getting better all the time. If you like British cozy mysteries give this one a try.

Another great Sukey Reynolds Mystery.
When a teenage girl goes missing, Sukey and her friends are put on the case. A body that is discovered doesn't seem to be that of the missing girl, hence leading them to two missing girls. As the bodies and mystery piles up, Sukey is left with one of her hunches that these cases are related. Will anyone else take her seriously? What they discovered I never predicted.
Great mystery, fun characters, and as always a plot that kept me from putting the book down.

one house, 1 owner dead in mysterious circumstances and the new owner nowhere to be seen. A missing teenager and another missing for more than a few years. Are these cases connected ? its left to Sukey Reynolds to find the truth

When a young girl goes missing the Police try to find out whether she has been abducted or runaway but there are similarities in a previous disappearance some years ago . Then a doctor is not satisfied that a patient of his who was found dead at home died from natural causes. Sukey Reynolds is part of the team who try to solve theses mysteries.
As these books in the Sukey Reynolds series continue they get better and leave you looking forward to the next in the series.

This is the third book I've read in the Sukey Reynolds series and so far it's my favorite.

A woman is dead. Another woman is dead. These don't seem to have anything in common but our girl Sukey has a hunch that they do.

The dialogue in this one crackles and the detective work is exceptionally well written.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

This was another cozy mystery read.

As Sukey is building a romance with her new boyfriend Harry. She is ask to look into the death of Adelaide who was found by the milkman Joe when she can't find anything suspicious about her death she promise to continue look into it.

When there are two young girls missing she realize this may have a connection to Adelaide death and when she voice this theory to her colleagues they aren't convince so she decide to investigate on her own to get to the truth.

There were a lot of red herring and great characters with great twists. Even though I'm happy her dream came true of being a detective but I still think she shoulda been a private investigator because she always goes out on her own to prove she right even when sometimes she can be wrong but if her colleagues listen to her more they wouldn't be mad when she does things herself.

Really someone need to pitch this series right along with Melissa Craig series to the hallmark movie mystery channel.

Death in the Village is a real page turner. Lots of twists that keep you guessing and second guessing yourself. The characters more and more three dimensional. Sukey's life keeps moving forward. You'll enjoy the suspense of this story.

Sukey Reynolds is back and finds herself looking into the death of a woman on her personal time with her new boyfriend Harry. when the woman’s GP calls foul on her death but doesn’t have solid evidence to support his claim, Sukey just can’t ignore his hunch and the feeling he may be right. Since Sukey is already working on several other cases that lead to the same village, she finds herself connecting more dots than she realized.

Another great entry in the Sukey Reynolds series. Betty Rowlands is a fabulous author and I am so glad that Bookouture has chosen to rerelease her series again so that those of us who missed out the first time around are able to get to know her fabulous series. Can’t wait for the next, and final, chapter in this series.
