Thank you for the opportunity to read this book! I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to follow along with more stories in this town.

A. J. Pine has penned an interesting and captivating introduction to her brand-new Meadow Valley series with this wonderful prequel. Cowboy to the Rescue has all the mandatory prerequisites; great world building, well-developed characters, and an engaging storyline. Heartbreak, angst, intense chemistry and a believable romance are just some of the elements that make this an enjoyable read. I can’t wait for the first full-length story in the series!

This introduction to Meadow Valley is amazing!!
Ivy has just returned home to Meadow Valley and it's not going smoothly. There's a fire in her dress shop, there's the usual small town gossip, and the new lieutenant at the fire department pushes all of her buttons. Carter is the new guy in town and is trying to adjust to small town dynamics. He might push all of Ivy's buttons but he can't afford the distraction of a beautiful woman when he's trying to prove that he deserves the position he has and isn't just a city interloper.
This novella introduced so many characters that I would love to see get their own HEA. I can't wait to visit Meadow Valley again!!

This is a complete story considering how short it is. I loved it so much. It's hard to believe so much detail and emotion could be squeezed into something that I read in just a couple of hours. I've read a couple of books by this author before and continue to look forward to more. I love that the stories and characters feels so real, nothing far-fetched or over-the-top. I laughed, I even got misty-eyed, there was excitement, like I said, a complete book. And it had such a sweet happy ending. So worth picking up!

A great intro into AJ Pine's upcoming Meadow Valley series!
Ivy and Carter were sweet, engaging characters who both had difficult experiences that have affected them. Their hesitation to jump into a relationship despite their attraction felt realistic, and the novella length worked well for their story.
There are a few other characters that were introduced and I am looking forward to reading their stories too.

Cowboy to the Rescue is the prequel novella to author A.J. Pine's new Meadow Valley series. I must say that the author has done a superb job starting this series. The writing style is easy-to-read. The characters are very likeable. Ivy and Carter have quite an attraction to each other and I thoroughly enjoyed reading along with the development of their relationship. I am really looking forward to what further tales Ms. Pine has to spin about Meadow Valley.

. Cowboy to the Rescue is another great story from this talented author. Carter and Ivy were wonderful characters. In this character driven storyline Ivy had to overcome her fear so she could take a chance with Carter. This is a sweet story and I would definitely recommend it.

The book started out great, with Carter, a new firefighter taking the call when the alarms go off at Ivy's new clothing store. The sparks and potential with quick witted banter caught my eye and I looked forward to their future clashes. Sadly though, while still over a good story, it was straight from issues of why they were not (either of them) ready for a relationship, to jumping into bed a swearing their love. More on the issues and more on the side story of Shane would have made a stronger story. Still kept my interest though, and would give it a 3.5. Would recommend if you want a quick fun story.

Great short read.
Ivy meets Cartre when he is called to a fire at her new shop. No matter how much she is attracted to him he is still a firefighter. That puts him off limits for her, as she knows she will never get over losing her brother in a fire.
Being a firefighter is what Carter always wanted to do and he won't change that, no matter how much he wants Ivy.
Can they find a way to be together?
Looking forward to the rest of this series.

Ivy owns a dress shop in the small town of Meadow Valley. On her opening day her mini fridge sets off a small fire and introduces her to the new fire lieutenant Carter Bowen. Although there is an instant attraction Ivy has lost her firefighter brother to a fire and has vowed never to get involved with a firefighter.
Carter is only on probation, he is determined to make this new chance work, a huge change from his former life in Houston and his family business. He shouldn't allow the prickly owner of the dress shop to distract him from his goals. Carter isn't just a firefighter, he's also a cowboy, running a dude ranch with some friends in his spare time.
This suffers from the curse of the novella, not enough time for more than a single plotline, and as a consequence it felt overly simplistic with no character development. Having said that, it was enjoyable and introduced us to Meadow Valley and some intriguing characters. I guess brothers Wyatt and Shane will be getting their own books soon.
I received a free copy of this novella from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

A. J. Pine’s Cowboy to the Rescue has all the requisite elements that make a story hard to put down. Right out of the gate I found myself immersed in Ivy’s captivating world...the same way I’m sure the author intended Carter to feel at their first encounter. As Carter and Ivy’s romance gains traction, you’ll find yourself turning the pages to be further immersed within their world of heartbreak, tension, action, and a perfected scripted romance.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

This is a gorgeous book my first by this author but it won't be my last I will now be reading the back list
Ivy Serrano may have had a fire an the fire department may of come to her rescue but she didn't them by the time they arrived she had put out her fire with her fire extinguisher and she didn't need any blue eyed handsome fire fighter with a distracting accent help no siree. Lieutenant Carter Bowen is new to town he has come for w new start he has every intention of blending into the new department and at the dude ranch where he volunteers He doesn't have time for a fiery custom clothes designer. They both have a dark past she is getting over the loss of her fire fighter brother who died in a building collapse While Carter is just running from his past Can these two ignore the spark that has flared between them or will they be forced to both face their fears and form a bond that could last a lifetime. Will they get a HEA You will need to read to see

Carter plays a part time Cowboy, firefighting is his main profession. When he first meets Ivy, I actually cringed a little. Talk about awkward. This is a fast pace book. One page they still want nothing to do with the other and the next they are setting sheets on fire it seemed like. I actually like this about the book. It kept me on my toes..

Cute
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Part of a series: Meadow Valley
Standalone
HEA
I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

Ivy and Carter meet when her store has a small fire as it is beginning to open for the first time. Ivy put the small fire out herself, but Carter, as a new lieutenant, insisted on following proper procedure to make sure that there was no further danger. Both field an instant attraction, but Ivy’s brother was a firefighter who died in the line of duty, and Carter was new to the local force, so neither was interested in getting involved.
They decided to become friends instead, but sometimes the best laid plans go astray. Can Ivy get over her fear that someone else she loves will be killed in a fire? Can Carter handle someone he loves not fully supporting his career?

This was a really cute story! Ivy is working through some fire-related grief when she develops an unstoppable crush on...you guessed it, a firefighter. What made this novella for me was a) the friendship between Ivy and Casey (yay, for main characters with friends) and b) the writing! I'll refrain from quoting, because I recognize I read an arc, but suffice it to say, I like A. J. Pine's voice, and will try more from her in the future!
The steam between the two love interests was pretty non-existent to me - there was just a little bit of foreplay. If you avoid detailed sex scenes, this just might be a romance novella for you!
