I think it's clear that I will read any book that Ashley Farley writes. Thanks to netgalley and bookstagram, I've been able to read this author's books several times and grown to love her writing of strong female characters who overcome obstacles and become more like who they were created to be.

Life on Loan is a story of second chances and reimagining your life. Two college friends decide to swap houses after reconnecting thirty years after graduation. The house swap gives them both a chance to escape painful pasts and rebuild their lives. Moving on after divorce and managing a demanding family are relatable life outcomes and Ashley brings her voice to this story of friendship and resilience.

Life on Loan by Ashley Farley

Have you ever wanted to “just leave it all behind”? Have you ever wanted to recreate yourself and just start over? In Ashley Farley’s Life on Loan two women get to do just that? Start over.
After a chance encounter in an airport lounge Lena and Olivia exchange homes for a month and have the opportunity to start fresh. Ashley Farley takes them both through many adventures and presents them with new opportunities.
I have read most every book that Ms. Farley has written and will continue to do so with each future story. Her style is one that keeps you interested and turning the pages. Her characters become friends you wish you had. At times I wanted to step into the page and have a discussion with numerous characters.

What a sweet book! How often have we as adults have thought of running away lol. Just to recharge and regroup? This story is about two friends who happen to run into each other by chance yrs later and swap houses to “getaway”. In the end they have to decide to follow through on their promises to live the lives they dreamed of. An amazing book yet again by Ashley Farley!!

When I began this book I thought "Oh, I need this life". Because, how many of us wish at one time or another of escaping reality and disappearing for awhile. 2020 has brought me to that thinking! A really good book. I enjoyed it so much!

College friends Lena and Olivia meet by chance at an airport lounge in Atlanta after 30 years. Lena is running away from home and Olivia is trying to find her way after a painful divorce. They toast to a new beginning by swapping houses for a month, to find their passions, reinvent themselves and reclaim what they’ve lost.

What an amazing story this was. This was a story of courage and hope, of taking chances. It was funny and romantic, and it was heartwarming. This was my first book by Ashley Farley, but it definitely won't be my last. I give it 4.5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Two women, old college buddies, have a chance meeting at an airport at a crucial time in their lives - both unfulfilled in their current households, especially as wives and mothers. They decide to switch homes for one month to gain new perspective but, really, just to GET AWAY from their own lives for a bit!! It spoke to me as a wife and mother for sure! The author has created likable, relatable characters and the story kept me reading until the end. This was my first by Ashley Farley but definitely won't be my last!
Thanks to Ashley Farley, Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC!

I can tell you personally this book resinated with me so much; sometimes life gets so overwhelming you forge who you are and you just need a break to regroup.
Unexpectedly one day at the airport two college friends Lena and Olivia run into each other; the women get to talking and decide to swap homes for a month. Lena is tired of being treat poorly by her family, over the years of being a wife and mother she has forgotten who she is and her purpose in life. Lena will be heading to Charleston where Olivia has a condo, on this journey she will rediscover all the things she has forgotten she loved about herself. Olivia is trying to pull herself together after her recent divorce; still trying to understand how the man she married fell in love with another woman. Olivia blames herself and takes this time away from everything to realize she is a far better woman she gives herself credit for. Ashley Farley has a an amazing way of transporting her readers into the characters she has created.

I enjoyed the way the women’s lives were portrayed, their struggles with their partners, their children, and their friends. Lena has decided to get away from her life for awhile. She runs into an old college friend at the airport. They come up with a plan where Lena will stay in Olivia’s Charleston home and Olivia will stay in Lena’s cottage in Virginia. They decide to do this for one month. Lena desperately wants to make changes in her life and Olivia wants to go in a different direction in her life as well. Both women struggle with what’s happened in their marriages and their relationships with their daughters. For the next few weeks, Lena and Olivia forge new relationships and find new interests.

For some reason this book never would download to my kindle. It was not on my Content and Devices page until recently. I’ll review when I get a chance. I’m very sorry and I do love this author’s work. I know this is a good read.

Being the age i am..mid 50's, I was able to relate very well.
I think somewhere here there was a lesson here to teach us it's never too late to make new beginnings. New friends..new careers and new loves.
Sometimes life just takes us where we need to be.
This was a "feel good" book and i really enjoyed it.

Ashley Farley has become one of my favorite authors! She writes about women's issues in books that keep a reader interested throughout her books. Life On Loan is a book that has a woman
wondering what would happen if they changed places with someone else for a few months. Both women have issues with their lives that make them want to run away from their own life. What happens after the exchange of homes has me intrigued from the start to the finish of Life On Loan, well worth reading!

Have you ever just felt like running away, even for just a little while? Life On Loan gives us a glimpse into the lives of two women who do just that! They actually swap addresses/locations to get a much needed break from life! What they find is life can be complicated in many different ways, and they both find a new sense of self they lost so long ago. This was such a joy to read and I loved it! I highly recommend this book!
