I really enjoyed this even more than I thought that I would. Although I did it quicker than 31 days for review purposes, I made notes so that I could go back and spend time on the sections as it recommends.
I found myself wishing I could highlight passages to keep forever because some parts really made messages I’ve heard over and over stand out differently.
This is the perfect book for any girl, teen, or young lady, or middle age lady who is involved in the Christian religion. Even if you think you know how to pray, give it a read. It may make some things stand out that you hadn’t given a second thought to through both stories happening today, and through bible verses. The end of each chapter poses a question, reflection or certain type of prayer and I think that was my favorite part!

In She Prays, Debbie Lindell invites you on a 31-day journey to experience a confident and conversational relationship with your heavenly Father. The first part of the book focuses on praying with understanding. It goes through some aspects of the why and how of prayer. Who do we pray to -- our heavenly Father, Jesus or the Holy Spirit?

The second part focuses on praying with knowledge. Here, Debbie Lindell discusses important topics that are related to prayer, such as forgiveness and temptation. These are topics that add to your knowledge but also your understanding of prayer and why we need to pray.

The third part focuses on trust. This part focuses more on different seasons and struggles of life, such as anxiety or feeling distant from God. Finally, the fourth part of the book focuses on praying with power.

She Prays by Debbie Lindell is a wonderful devotional that focuses on aspects of prayer. She Prays would be a great book to give to those who are new in Christ. Every devotion has a Bible verse, and often the devotions consider a passage in the Bible. Debbie Lindell also offers personal stories and examples related to the topic of the devotion. This is a good 31-day devotional but I would recommend it more for those who are new in Christ.

This book is gorgeous to look at, marvelous to read and has helped me to grow spiritually. Written to be read over a thirty-one day time span; each short chapter focuses on different aspects of our spiritual life. Each chapter concludes with an assignment and blank lines for notes.
I truly connected with this book that arrived at a time when I'm walking through a valley. It has been a gift that has helped me in immeasurable ways.

I like it! It is simple enough while still being engaging and thought provoking with applicable life stories and Bible verses. It would be excellent to give to a newish believer as well as a believer going through a hard time.

Weeks ago I was discussing my struggle with prayer with a friend. Feeling inadequate when I went to God with my concerns I laughed at myself as I explained that I wondered if I knew the right way to pray. As a mother, wife, daughter and lifelong follower of Jesus I questioned my words to Him. Were they enough, was I doing it the right way? And then I heard about Debbie's new book. The book I needed; it came to fill so many holes where I had doubts and questions. Daily breakdowns that are relevant and easy to follow. Debbie leads with clear and concise words from her heart. She gives clear headed ways to speak to God. Also pouring confidence into the reader - just go to God. You are enough! So much doubt clouds the minds of women today and this book will push those clouds away. I received an advanced electronic copy of this book from the publisher and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.

My prayer life is far from perfect. I often question what the point is, or if it even matters. I’m also super awkward about it. This book breaks it down into 31 days, with a spot for notes or reflection each day. Deb’s words are encouraging and insightful, and I really enjoyed this book. I plan to read it again so I can go more in depth the next time around!

Uplifting guide for a deeper prayer life.

She Prays – A 31-Day Journey to Confident Conversations With God is author Debbie Lindell’s uplifting and poignant devotional. It encourages readers to develop a deeper and more meaningful prayer life, leading to a stronger relationship with God.

She Prays is filled with practical, actionable steps that anyone can take to amp up their prayers and relationship with God. It also includes several pointers and tips for listening to God and hearing His personal messages. As Lindell says, prayer is a constant learning process. Each day/chapter ends with a prayer, scripture, or other means of putting the topic discussed into practice.

Pastor Lindell walks the hesitant pray-er from their place of uncertainty to praying with confidence. She empathizes with those who feel emptiness and meaningless in their prayers. She assures readers that God is accessible and He desires a relationship with His people, It’s all possible through life-changing prayer.

How this book affected me:
This book affirmed my current prayer life, but also encouraged me to never stop improving it. In God-like irony, this book about prayer contained an answer to one of my own recent prayers – proving the whole point of She Prays. Seriously, how many times do you just happen to stumble across a recommendation to read a specific book about the Trinity?

Who would enjoy this book:
This book is worthwhile for any Christian who’s lacking the confidence or courage to pray. It may benefit those who are struggling with their Christianity. It’s useful for any Christians who are looking to deepen their relationship and/or communication with God.

"Our Prayers Matter"

This is my first time reading this authors work. I like the scriptures she shares in the devotional. The chapters aren't too long but the contents of each one shares thoughts to meditate on in relation to prayer and life. She reminds us all through the book how much our prayers matter.

Two of my favorite quotes from the book are:

"Your prayer life is the doorway to a place beyond your everyday, feet-on-the-ground life, into a whole new and colorful world."

"Your prayers are holding back darkness."

I received an advance readers copy of this book. This is my honest review. I recommend it to others.

"When I was a young girl, I made the choice to follow Jesus. But then for years my understanding of sin far outweighed my understanding of God's grace."

Debbie Lindell captures my experience perfectly with that sentence. I grew up in church. There every time the doors opened. Became a Christian at a fairly young age. But for years, I didn't really grow closer to Jesus. I prayed, sure, but deep down, I trusted myself more than I trusted God. I didn't think I could really talk to Him.

In She Prays, Lindell blows that thought process to smithereens. In gentle, compelling language, she talks about just what it is that God did to give us access to Himself - the lengths He went to. She writes like a friend talks, and shares truth because she genuinely wants the reader to hear and understand it. And once her words started to sink in, that started to reshape my understanding of prayer.

I was privileged to read a digital copy of this book, but I like it so much, I'm going to need a physical copy to read and re-read.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions here are mine, and I don't say nice things about books I don't like.

"She Prays" is a great 31 day devotional that uses each of those thirty one days to hit the reader right in the heart. Lindell shares her personal experiences, life lessons and daily encouragements to nudge the reader nearer to the heart of God. Prayer is often something people think has a specific script, but Lindell is here to tell you that isn't the case.

Debbie is an author, pastor's wife and creator of the Designed for Life Women's Conferences. She has also written another book I have not read yet, called "She Believes." Throughout personal narratives, real life examples of those who have dealt with a myriad of issues and basic reminders from Scripture, Lindell makes this devotional on prayer a welcome friend at the end of the day, or a fresh reminder first thing in the morning.

I resonated with many examples from Lindell's ministry and life. She is open, honest and truthful with the reader. The devotionals are well written and detailed, while remaining thoughtful to wherever the reader may be in their walk with Christ.

This would be a great book to use in a small group or women's group setting. There is enough 'meat' in each day's devotional that you could expound on it and draw personal connections to the subjects referenced. This would make a lovely gift for women of all ages, as the topic of prayer is applicable to us all.

I was an early reader, thanks to Revell publishers. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author writes with great insight, sharing personal experiences, and giving the reader tasks to apply her strategies and suggestions to pray and converse with God. I will re-read the book as I think the ideas are wonderful and can continue to be applied at deeper and deeper levels. She's a very down to earth writer sharing practical strategies she applies, and even touches of humor.

The book has four themes that were so helpful. She prays with Understanding, with Knowledge, with Trust, with Power. I loved the optimistic and positive, growth mindset way that the author encourages the reader that speaking with God, while it feels like a daunting task, is achievable in simple ways.

Thankful to have an advanced copy to read from the publisher. I enjoyed it and would say it's a great book to own.

I like the short readings each day. I also like that she gives other resources to help with your prayer time or further your study on certain topics. The recommendations of how to carve out that quiet time and make it something you crave at the end of day eight were awesome and easy to incorporate. I would recommend this to any woman wanting to work on her prayer life.
