A great fun, quick read that made me happy. Leanne and her flower shop, friends and family were great characters and I enjoyed reading about her adventure to chose between her career and love. I'll definitely be picking up the other titles in the series to read more from this author!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this title in exchange for an honest review.

The latest in the Tanglewood series by Lilac Mills does not disappoint. Another heartwarming tale with a difference, another romance. Lovely.

A gorgeously pretty cover for a wonderfully enjoyable book.
This is Rex and Leanne’s tale. Leanne owns a flower shop and
Rex is a park ranger in the Brecon Beacons. And their story follows their initial meeting - over a puppy called Nell - to the TV studios of London and the Highlands of Scotland.
A truly simple and enjoyable book!

Hearts and Flowers

This is the second in a series but I came to the book without having read its predecessor. It can easily be read on its own. With a community feel and likeable characters, this warm romance is a lovely read. There are moments of humour along the way and it takes a wry look at television programming. All the characters' actions made sense to me and it made me want to catch up with book one. An easy, relaxing read.

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of the book.

Great story, brilliantly written highly recommend it. Yes the main character owns a flower shop in a small town named Tanglewood. It is a tale of lives mislaid and misunderstood bu t if things are meant to be, they will be. Very well written and I enjoyed it very much.

I've always enjoyed Lilac Mills' novels but I have to say I think this is my favourite one of hers so far. Firstly the cover is so pretty I couldn't resist reading it! I love the striped awning and the rows and rows of beautiful flowers outside Leanne's shop - as well as the cute little dog sitting outside too! It's a really summery and fun cover and I couldn't wait to delve in and get to read it.

What I liked about this novel was that one chapter would be on Leanne and the next would be on Rex. So we would constantly be reading about how each of the two main characters felt, and I really got to know and relate to each of the characters because of this. It made understanding their ways so much better and easier and as a result I think it made me enjoy the novel more. As well as this, I really liked the two characters. Leanne seemed really fun and down to earth, where as Rex seemed a little more shy but still just as lovely.

The storyline was refreshing, and something slightly different to what I usually read. It was interesting to read about the competition and I loved reading about Rex and Leanne's relationship. It was nice to see how they were blossoming and getting to know one another and I liked reading about what was going to happen between them. I felt really sorry for Rex with all what he was going through and I understood why he was the way he was with Leanne. But that didn't stop me from feeling sorry for Leanne too! It was clear to see that Leanne had fallen for Rex and him her.

Overall, a really lovely and lighthearted read that I throughly enjoyed. It was set in a lovely location, the characters all seemed really nice and caring and I loved the storyline. I would recommend you give not only this novel a go, but the authors other novels too! Thank you to the publisher for an advance copy of this novel to read via Netgalley, which I have reviewed honestly.

This was such a fun and easy read. It was pleasant and straightforward, it didn’t take too much brainpower, but at the same time, it was thoroughly delightful and enjoyable.
It was great to revisit Tanglewood, and even though it is in the same world as the Tanglewood Tea Shop book, it had a new and fresh feel to it. It followed a different formula and concentrated on new characters. The people we had gotten to know in the first book were there in the periphery story, but you could read this as a stand-alone and not feel as if you had missed out on much. It was very well done.
This time we are concentrating on flower shop owner Leanne and newcomer Rex. Leanne gets a fantastic opportunity to take part in a reality TV programme about flowers, but will these new adventures mean she has to give up other new parts of her life and things that may be more important?
Rex has moved to Tanglewood from the highlands of Scotland and is enjoying his new routine and life. Leanne and the dog Nell enter his life like a whirlwind, but they aren’t the only things that are about to cause a tornado to come crashing through his life! Can he get his own happiness while looking after everyone else at the same time?
This is a story of love but also personal life development and needing the right moments to align to find true happiness. It was such a feel-good and uplifting story.
I liked the attention the author paid to local dialect and traditions, such as calling the evening meal tea and not dinner.
It had a charming ending, not too twee or predictable, but it did end very abruptly. I was expecting a little more story but everything was sewn up and it just stopped! Not necessarily a bad thing just a bit of a shocker after spending so much time with these characters to lose them from your life, it felt sudden and unexpected.

I had previously read and enjoyed the first book in the Tanglewood series, so I was delighted to receive an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley and the Publisher in return for an honest review.
Although this book is the second book in the series, it could easily be read as a standalone book.
This book features Leanne, who runs the Florist shop in Tanglewood. Her life has been the same for a long time, until she meets newcomer Rex, a Mountain ranger. She also desides to enter the TV competition, Budding Stars.
Suddenly her life changes dramatically and she is forced to grow up, and make a big decision as to what she actually wants to do with her life.
There were some familiar faces in this book, and it was good to catch up with them. This book is a nice and easy feel good read, but it has its fair share of twists and turns in the middle of the book, although it is fairly predictable towards the end. This book has a few humorous moments, especially with one of the characters, Betty.
The characters are great, and you can really visualise them. I really enjoyed reading this book, and I hope that there will be more books set in Tanglewood in the future.

Little book of happiness that’s what this is, feeling down when I started this, it was the perfect remedy and it’s such a lovely read. An addictive read from the very first page, I really didn’t want to put this down. An enjoyable read, full of adorable characters that you really root for, a lovely romance without too much trauma, happiness in book form.

The story of Leanne and Rex.
Leanne runs the flower shop in town and has just entered a TV floristry competition. Rex is new in town, having moved from Scotland to Wales following the break up with his ex.
Soon they are spending more time together. Will Leanne follow her carrer to London, and will Rex end up returning to Scotland after his ex drops a bombshell. Maybe they just need Betty to interfere and help!

Looking forward to more books set in Tanglewood.

This book is really easy to read and well written. I got absorbed in the story straight away and not once was I jerked out of the plot by an odd bit of language, spelling or grammar.

I very much enjoyed the gentle romance of the story, and the florist competition was a fun subplot. Really the whole book was just enjoyable, exactly what I was looking for.

The one thing I didn’t like was when Leanne broke up with Rex when he’d just said he more than liked her. It seemed to make no sense to me, but I suppose people are irrational where emotions are involved.

I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, gentle romance, without too much drama.

This is the first book in the Tanglewood series that I have read but I had no difficulty getting caught up in this world. The author gives enough of a glimpse into the events of the previous books that I felt I knew what was going on without giving a full recap (which is something that always bugs me when I have already read the previous books). Leanne is a great leading lady - she's smart, strong, and not afraid of a good challenge. Rex is the kind of guy you wish you could meet in real life. I enjoyed the parts with him and Nell - having just recently gotten a puppy myself I knew exactly what he was going through. It would have been easy to have Leanne in a love triangle with Rex and Jarred and I was so glad the author did not go in that direction. It was so much better that Jarred's interest was purely on a professional level. As with so many other romance stories all the problems between Leanne and Rex were caused by their lack of communication. I kept wanting to yell "just talk to one another, tell each other how you feel!" which I think shows how much I wanted these characters to be together. I wanted to smack Rex's ex for causing him problems when she didn't know for sure if there was any need for it - she could have just waited until Dean took the paternity test and if it was negative then gotten in touch with Rex. It's like she knew he was getting on with his life and had found someone new and needed to ruin it for him. I'm not sure there was any point in having Jules cheating on Rex with his best friend since it's not like Rex got to have it out with them, it only added to Rex's hurt. It all worked out for Rex in the end, but I would have liked him to have the opportunity to tell them what crappy people they were. Rex's attempts to find Leanne after his talk with Betty were just comical enough without being over the top. And I liked that, in the end, Leanne was able to get what she wanted in her both her professional and personal life.
