A Sister’s Power is the third book in The Reeves Sisters saga. Although I found this to be an enjoyable read, I must admit that I wondered throughout if I could have gotten more from the story if I had read the previous books. This was an okay read for me. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read the other books in the series. It is a stand alone book , but some of the development of the characters were developed in the pervious book. I will read the entire series to figure out some of the things that I missed in this book.

This is the third book in the Reeves sister series. I did not read the first two books but was able to get the jest of the sisters’ story from the author’s description of the backstory. Since this is the final book of the series, the book starts out with each of the sisters going through a struggle/dilemma. By the end, the sisters have resolution.

One thing that bothered me about the novel was the child character, Natalia. She was too grown for me. The way this character is presented on page is a testament to Ms. Rax writing ability because she is able to make me have a strong dislike for a child.

Overall, this was a pleasant reading experience. I do think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the first 2 books.

The Reeves Sister’s and all of their drama, secrets, and lies has came to an end and was wrapped up with a pretty bow for us. Each sister has their own personal issues and then family issues they have to deal with which has lead to more secrets, drama and lies that a family should have to endure. A Sister’s Power reveals all the answers to the questions we have been asking and wow some were not what I was expected.

I usually love children in books but I really wanted to snatch Natalia a couple of times, I am old school and believe children should stay out of grown folks conversations and stay in a child’s place unless asked for their opinion. I did feel like the story had some unnecessary fluff but was still an overall good book. I was really hoping one of the sisters was drama free, but hey we all know how it goes. That last plot twist I was not expecting at all . It was a great end to the series and I am looking forward to seeing what this author has in store next.

The Reeves sisters are back in this I'm assuming final installment of the series. Alita, Burgandy, CoCo, Dru and Elise are dealing with all kinds of messes and have to figure out how to get themselves out of it. The author truly wrote the heck out of these characters, especially Burgandy's 8 year old. I wanted to snatch her little self way too many times throughout the story. This book was just as good and exciting as book 1. It took me through all kinds of emotions and had my emotions all over the place. As with previous books from this author, there is all kinds of drama and secrets. A great ending to the series.

I wish I could read the entire series again for the first time. Everything about it was emotionally complex and beautiful. Complete with scenes that either filled me with rage or triggered a tearful symphony of raw emotion as I reflected on how I saw glimpses of my story within the pages.

Reading the above premise had me totally invested in this story. Maybe If I would have read the previous books in the series I would have understood the characters more but the story just felt messy for messiness sake.

I really wanted to like this story but it dragged and seemed kind of all over the place. I gave it 4 stars for the premise and the promise. It just didn't deliver for me personally.

A Sister’s Power is the third novel in the Reeves Sisters series by Cydney Rax. Though this book is part of a series, the backstory is interwoven in a manner that made this a decent standalone.

A Sister’s Power is a tale about difficult familial relationships. This novel continues the story of the five Reeves sisters. Alita, the eldest and nosiest, has ongoing financial struggles and is insecure in her relationship with her boyfriend. Burgundy, the entrepreneurial sibling, is starting a new relationship that is frowned upon by her eight-year-old daughter, who just wants her deceased father back. Coco, the wild and wayward sister, struggles with betrayal and her rapidly worsening problems with the law. Drucilla, fondly known as Dru, is intelligent and level-headed, but struggles with feelings of inadequacy and deteriorating health, while attempting to finish her college education and kickstart her dream business. Elyse, the youngest and most vulnerable, is still struggling to deal with her difficult childhood and her newly defined romantic relationship. The sisters are constantly battling life and each other. There are secrets, dramas and betrayals yet to be revealed.

Cydney Rax finishes this series perfectly. The characters are now completely developed and utterly believable. The plot twists are still dramatic and unexpected. The writing is wholly insightful. I was enraptured and enjoyed every aspect of this final novel and the series as a whole. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to those who enjoy dramatic urban fiction.

In the final installment of the Reeves Sisters series, we get to see the most explosive side of the sisters ever. Secrets are finally coming to light and questions are being answered. Will the the Reeves sisters allow the weight of the world to tear them apart or bring them together. A Sister's Power will have you display all of your emotions. A great ending to a the Reeves Sisters series.
