A fast-paced read packed with romance, lot of characters to discover in the next books and a little bit of sex. A great prelude to a new series. Looking forward to read more about these characters.

"The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission" follows Alice Weatherford, a matchmaker, who is snowed in at a vineyard in Oklahoma before her best friends wedding. What better way to pass the time than with the hunky cowboy next door? The story follows Alice and Clay as they resist the love they both clearly feel. While very heartwarming and a delightful cozy read for the holiday season the story line lacked substance for me.

this was a great story. I really enjoyed Alice and Clay. Sometimes you just know when the right one comes along and sometimes it becomes hard to believe. They so made it work.

I have to admit that I’ve never read any of Jaci Burton’s books before, but man, did she hook me with her new holiday novella.

Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission was the perfect blend of holiday and romance. Matchmaker Alice Weatherford flies to Oklahoma from LA to be maid-of-honor at her best friend’s wedding. She wasn’t expecting a crazy snowstorm, and she definitely wasn’t expecting to meet rancher Clay Henry.

When the sparks start flying between Clay and Alice, she questions everything. This novella has a great ending that jabs you in the feels.

And holy crap- did I mention Burton brought the spice? Definite heat. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting that, but I wasn’t. As things got steamier, I found myself mumbling shocked expletives and refusing to get back to real life until I was done reading.

I’d definitely give this a solid 3.5 stars, and I’m looking forward to seeing this cast of characters again as the Boots and Bouquets series kicked off. The first full length book in the series, The Best Man Plan, is slated for a May release, so be sure to snag this novella to satisfy those holiday TBRs and prep for what’s to come!

This was a quick, sweet, sexy little love story. Another breath of new life in the romance genre. 100% literary crush worthy!

Professional matchmaker Alice Weatherford offered to go ahead to Oklahoma to help make sure her friend's wedding preparations are on track. She didn't expect to be stranded at the Bellini's ranch (with a set of three daughters who are obviously sequel bait and I am so excited to read Erin's story about falling in love with her fiance's best friend.) Nor did she expect to meet their neighbor, Clay Henry with whom she has such a chemical reaction.
I actually liked this novella, Burton actually managed to get a lot of "getting to know you" time into the story which doesn't often happen. The end was a little more rushed but the characters were fairly well developed.

Four stars

In The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission we get to meet Alice Weatherford a matchmaker from LA visiting Red Moss Vineyard in Oklahoma for her best friend's wedding. And Clay Henry a local Rancher who just happens to be at the Red Moss Vineyard during a record snow storm.

Alice believes that every good match starts with a list of questions and common interests. Clay on the other hand believes that ever good match starts with chemistry between two people.
I wonder who will win?

The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission is the first novella in Jaci Burton’s new Boots and Boutique series and was a great quick read. I really enjoyed the new cast of characters that Mrs. Burton has introduced us to. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I really liked this book and the characters! Four stars mainly because it felt a bit abrupt but that's understandable because it's only a novella. The Bellini sisters/family are just so heartwarming. Meeting them made me happy because they were so welcoming and open. I also like that they're close to the hero (Clay) because they're neighbors and basically grew up together. I loved both the main characters, I just kinda wish it dove more into Clay's family. I guess I'll see glimpses of that in the upcoming books!

THE MATCHMAKER’S MISTLETOE MISSION introduces Jaci Burton’s “Boots and Bouquets” contemporary romance series. This book is just so much fun from start to finish. Red Moss Vineyard, run by the congenial Bellini family, makes a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding, which is why Alice Weatherford is there – to finalize arrangements for her BFF’s upcoming wedding. For Alice’s love life, timing is everything. A freak snowstorm (and who doesn’t love those in romances?) lands her in close quarters with hot rancher Clay Henry. Sigh.

Alice Weatherford is a professional matchmaker who is successful at making matches for everyone except herself. Meeting Clay when she does strikes her as being the best and worst thing ever. On one hand, Clay seems to be everything she could ever want but, having been burned before by the prospect of a long-distance romance, geography seems like an insurmountable obstacle to their potential involvement. In addition to simple logistics, Alice seems to have some kind of ethical or professional objection to becoming involved with Clay – which I don’t quite understand, but it doesn’t interfere with my overall enjoyment of the story. THE MATCHMAKER’S MISTLETOE MISSION is told from alternating perspectives, which is helpful considering that Alice tries to act contrary to what she’s feeling. Despite Alice’s slightly convoluted reasoning, I liked both main characters and I really enjoyed their love story. Winter in Oklahoma and Christmas fun was a delightful backdrop to two people meeting and falling in love. Clay is a total sweetie – rugged, attractive, and a sensitive soul who pursues a woman but knows when to give her some space.

THE MATCHMAKER’S MISTLETOE MISSION is a sweet and sexy Christmas confection suitable for devouring any time of the year. The supporting character’s in THE MATCHMAKER’S MISTLETOE MISSION are wonderful and I look forward to reading more about the Bellini sisters in future books. I eagerly await Jaci Burton’s next book.

Super fun quick read that is totally like a Hallmark movie coming to life on the pages.
I liked the twist of the matchmaker finding love for themselves instead of trying to find it for others. Everyone needs a Happily ever after.

This was a really sweet Christmas novella! Though I havent read the rest of the series and didnt feel fully invested, I still found it to be fun and enjoyable.
I enjoyed the short time I spent with these 2, and would have enjoyed a longer novel with them.

The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission is a quick, fun and sexy holiday romance that you don’t want to miss. Alice is a Los Angeles based professional matchmaker, and Clay is a cynical cowboy who calls Oklahoma home. They’re opposites who definitely attract as their chemistry sizzles from the moment they meet. They agree to a smoking-hot but temporary fling, but as the holidays approach and their time together draws to an end, neither is ready to say goodbye. Can these two find a way to meet in the middle and seize their happily ever after? You’ll feel all the warm fuzzies as they do.

The book blurb is what drew me into The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission by Jaci Burton. This is a hot and steamy novella, that takes place on a vineyard in small town Oklahoma. The vineyard is also a wedding venue. The characters are fun and the food descriptions made my mouth water.

The two main characters, Alice Weatherford, a matchmaker from Los Angeles, and Clay Henry, a local rancher, have undeniable chemistry. Alice is in town to attend her best friend's wedding. She arrives a week early to oversee the planning, and ends up getting snowed in at the venue. Clay was visiting when the storm hit, and ends up staying as well, since 48 inches of snow is impossible to ride a horse through. Alice offers her matchmaking services to Clay, and as a result, they are each others perfect match.

I liked this novella, however, I found the pace to be a bit slow. The mounds of snow added a lovely backdrop to the wedding at Christmastime theme. I am quite sure this new series, Boots and Bouquets, is the foundation for new stories about the characters that call Red Moss Vineyards home.

3.5 stars

This was a really cute novella, perfect for the wintery Christmas time, with likable characters and a cozy setting that acts as a set up for an upcoming series.

Because it is novella length, it’s easy to get through in one sitting and the plot moves at a very fast pace. The downside to that however, is the lack of character development and the insta-love factor. This didn’t really bother me, because I was able to suspend my disbelief, but others might be put off by the fact that the characters are declaring their love for one another after knowing each other for only about a week. It’s a short Christmas romance novella, so it wasn’t really unexpected that this would be the outcome, but it is probably the biggest drawback, because while the chemistry is definitely there between the main characters, they don’t share a lot of personal information with each other, at least on page.

Still very enjoyable and a great set-up for what sounds like a fun series!

A little too much insta-love but does a pretty good job of showing how these people are suited to each other. As an intro to a new series it works very well.

This was a really cute story about Alice, a matchmaker, and Clay, a rancher. They had an instant chemistry that seemed natural, and Clay was honest about wanting to be with Alice. I always enjoy Jaci Burton's books. Looking forward to more in the series!

3.5 Hearts Alice is a Los Angeles matchmaker but when her best friend’s wedding is in Oklahoma. Oklahoma is nothing like LA. It snows is Oklahoma and Alice is unexpectedly stuck for days. Clay is checking on the Bellini’s when the snowstorm hits and he is also stuck for days at the vineyard. So now we watch the season work…..

Alice connects with Clay but then she decides he needs to be matched up and she doesn’t date her clients. Clay doesn’t want to be matched. Right now the other one he is interested in is Alice. But both have pasts that they need to move beyond.

I thought this was a cute book. The characters are made for each other. I thought Clay was sweet and everything a girl wants. He actually listens!

Sweet book to curl up and read for the holidays!

Caveat: I didn't realize when I requested this that it is a novella in a larger series. I think it's possible I would have liked it more if I had read the other books, but this is my first time with the author. The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission is a kind of silly, short romance novella about a professional matchmaker and a wealthy cowboy rancher falling in love very quickly during a snow-in.

Alice has flown from Los Angeles to Oklahoma the weekend before her best friend's wedding to make sure everything is in order, but an unexpected snowstorm keeps her there longer than expected. Despite her insistence that chemistry is relatively unimportant for successful matchmaking, there are immediate sparks with sexy cowboy/rancher Clay. Basically she briefly tries to make him her client before giving into the chemistry and sleeping with him, decorating his huge house for Christmas, and discussing the fact that they both want lots of kids and (amazingly!) his house has plenty of bedrooms for his future, non-existent children! Cue drama about the fact that her business is in Los Angeles and she is a city girl. But miraculously, it turns out he's also a multi-millionaire and can solve all their problems with a private jet and office space! Like I said, it's pretty silly and the "I Love You's" happen incredibly fast. But, it's great for a fun, quick, steamy read with a Christmas theme. I received an advance copy of this book for review via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

3 stars for a holiday novella by Jaci Burton. The Matchmaker's Mistletoe Mission is a cute, quick romance to get you in the mood for winter & Christmas! (and it still features all the steamy scenes that are a staple in Burton's full length novels.)

Super cute! A little something different form Jaci Burton. I love Holiday and Matchmaking tropes so this book scored high ratings on both topics. A NEW HOLIDAY MUST READ
