This book took my heart. I love books about people finding love in places that they never thought to look. Love finds you and heals you when you need it most.

A story about second chances with a lot of heart. What I loved the most was the characters were believable yet flawed. They’re so relatable.
Hannah is one sassy and funny woman. She has quirky thoughts and great character development. I adored Jake’s POV. He’s charming but not perfect, and still tries his best.

Hannah Hart is a successful, perfect model. She ensure she takes good care of herself so she can keep her job.
Being a model is what Hannah is good at - she has to be good at it after what happened to her in school.

But Hannah's life is turned upside down when she is in a fire. Ending up in the burns unit where she had to recover for quite a while. Hannah has to accept help off her estranged husband Jake.

Jake - (who cheated on Hannah and had a son Tim) was torn between his son and helping Hannah. He wants to be there for both. As Tim needs help when his mother has to go away. And is involved in gang related incidents and bad school grades But Hannah cannot forgive Jake. Tim is a constant reminder; especially when she cannot give Jake any kids of her own.

Can Jake and Hannah revive their relationship? Will Hannah ever soften towards Tim?

I am not normally in the market for typical romance books but this book had something different in it.
The story line was very good - Hannah a perfect model has had to learn to live with her new skin. She had had to learn to love herself again. I think we can all relate to this as sometimes we think to ourselves "I look horrible today." "This top makes me look pregnant." etc

I didn't agree with Hannah and Jake's action ie he cheated on her. But they both made mistakes and realise that in the end.

The ending was not how I envisioned at all. I thought I had all this figured out as a typical romance. However a twist in the tale ensure I was gripped and read on.
