The Haunting of Hotel LaBelle was a well-written story that had a great setting, wonderful characters, and an easy-to-follow storyline.

Synopsis:
When hotel inspector, Tallulah Thompson, is called in along with her pug, Franny, to investigate renovation delays, she meets an extremely annoyed and dapper turn-of-the-century innkeeper. The only problem is he’s in limbo, neither dead nor alive, and Tallulah and the pug are the first to see him in a hundred years.

What a fun read! It has well-rounded characters, romance, fantasy, mystery, suspense...and an adorable pug. The Haunting of Hotel LaBelle by Sharon Buchbinder was a paranormal romance with a lot of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages.

This title was given to me for free in exchange for my honest review.

The first half of this book had me interested, but something towards the middle just dragged. The premise of this book drew me in. I enjoyed the Native American lore mixed with ghostly presences. Unfortunately, something about the second half of the book dragged for me. I would pick it up, put it down, pick it up, and put it down again. I can't pinpoint what it was. I ended up skim reading the rest of the book. I did want to figure out what happened at the end, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to dedicate more time to it than necessary.

When I first saw this book, The Haunting of Hotel LaBelle, I honestly thought I was going to be reading a thriller. Boy was I surprised!

When hotel inspector, Tallulah Thompson, is called to investigate renovation delays, she meets an extremely annoyed and dapper turn-of-the-century innkeeper. The only problem is he’s in limbo, neither dead nor alive.
Cursed by a medicine woman, Lucius is stuck between worlds until he finds his true love and gives her his heart.
With the fate of Hotel LaBelle on the line, Tallulah with the help of a powerful medicine woman turns Lucius back into a flesh and blood man. She and Lucius team up to save the hotel, but Tallulah can't help but wonder if he will ever let go of his past love and learn to love again.

This book was full of laughter in turn keeping me wanting more. I just couldn’t stop reading! The characters were so full of life and well written. The author did an awesome job with the story line. Just long enough to satisfy your curiosity but didn’t drag on making you want to pull your hair out.
So if you ever want to read a story where a human hooks up with a ghost, this is the book for you! 😂

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Imagine that, a hundred-year-old misunderstanding that sent a poor guy into limbo and now he has rejoined the living, all because he sees a beautiful hot lady and suddenly, his motor which was dead for a hundred years came back to life, I ain’t buying it. An interesting story for sure, I don’t know if I’m quite digging this ghostly twist-mix with the living though. Now don’t get me wrong, this book has quite an interesting storyline with an equal amount of curiously interesting characters. These characters obviously brought this book to life but not enough to sate my appetite.

Tallulah Thompson, with her Masters of Management in Hospitality, has been hired to investigate why remodeling on an historic hotel has suffered many delays. She has her own consulting company and she, along with her pug Franny, head to the Hotel LaBelle. Beginning with her first tour of the hotel, she begins to see visions of a man who she learns is Lucius Stewart, former owner of the hotel who disappeared a hundred years ago. Tallulah is of Native American origin and she inherited the ability to see things that others do not from her grandmother. Lucius has been cursed and will remain so until he finds his true love. Can Tallulah help Lucius leave the “between world” and help him save the hotel? A bit complicated, but a pleasant paranormal story.
