Beware the East Wind is a cozy mystery with too much conversation and not enough action to balance it out. This one wasn't for me.
Beware the East Wind is an entertaining murder mystery.. good plot with a cast of quirky characters. A fast paced read. Thanks to the publisher for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.
I read the other books in this series and was more than happy when I got this ARC because it was an engrossing and entertaining read.
The cast of characters is fleshed and likeable as usual, the mystery kept me guessing.
I look forward to reading the instalment in this series.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
After a night out to see a hypnotist the mah jongg group (and some of their husbands) become involved with a murder. The characters are fun and intelligent seniors. An easy to read cozy mystery.
Read this in two days. While I like that the group meets to talk out their actions, it seems as if there is a lot of talking and not enough action. Other than that, good mystery and several viable suspects. Ending was a little anticlimactic but still interesting.
Beware the East Wind by Barbara Barrett, is the 4th first book in Mah Jongg series. A fun group of seniors, Kat, Syd, Marianne and Micki, get wrapped up in solving another murder. This book is a fun read, with intelligent older women. I found this book to be a quick read, with well developed plot and characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. If you love fun cozy mysteries like I do, than I recommend this book.
I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.

I tried to like this one. I tried to get through it. It dragged too much for me. I wish I could have liked this more than I had.
