This is a good book for air fryer novices. It has a lot of great tips on how to cook food and have it come out perfectly. I love air fryers because it allows you to "deep fry" the food without the oil and grease.

Air fryers have caught on; almost everyone owns one, and those who don’t want to. Linda Larsen’s Ninja Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners: 75+ Recipes for Faster, Healthier, & Crispier Fried Favorites is a great cookbook to start with, no matter what brand of air fryer you are cooking in. This cookbook not only explains everything anyone needs to know about air frying, but also includes quick and easy recipes. Many people think that air fryers are mostly for French fries – and they do a good job on those - but air fryers are much, much more than that.

Larsen has included recipes for Fried Green Tomatoes, Spicy Grilled Steak, and Chicken Fajitas. There are also several recipes that we usually order for take-out from Chinese restaurants, like Beef and Broccoli, General Tso’s Chicken, and Crunchy Pork Egg Rolls. The Panko-Crusted Boneless Pork Chops are fabulous and juicy, and the Crunchy Baja Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa have already become a family favorite. It is amazing that there is such a variety of recipes that can be prepared in the air fryer. Larsen has even included a few desserts.

The recipes are well-written and easy-to-follow; every recipe tried so far has turned out good, and the Air Fry cooking charts are helpful for frozen convenience foods as well as vegetables, fish, poultry and meat. There is also a useful chart on dehydrating fruits and vegetables and making jerky.

If you’re new to an air fryer, you should think seriously about picking up this excellent cookbook. The only drawback is that there are very few photographs – the ones included are nice, but most cooks want to see what the dish will look like before cooking. All told, however, this is a book that should be on the bookshelf of everyone who owns an air fryer.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I have the Ninja air fryer and had no idea I could make so many easy delicious recipes. The recipes have pictures which I love, but I also learned so many air fryer tips to make the food come out perfectly. So glad I found this book.

The title may say for beginner's but it's really for anyone who is looking to get the most use of their Ninja air fryer. I've had one for awhile but never tried anything past the typical, obvious recipes that you see prepared on cooking shows or in magazines. Linda Larsen has obviously given her machine a much better work out than mine has had. Not only have I now added many new recipes to my standard fare, I've picked up enough knowledge to tweak some of my old recipes to utilize my air fryer. A great book for beginners and someone just looking to expand their recipe box.

Thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Having recently jumped on the air fryer bandwagon, I was excited to discover theNinja Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners. I had looked at other air fryer cookbooks, but many were filled with recipes that didn’t seem like the things a typical family of four would eat on a regular basis. Not only does this cookbook contain recipes for family favorites, like barbecued ribs, it also contains recipes for things my family enjoys, but I hadn’t thought about being able to prepare in an air fryer, such as taco pizza and General Tso’s chicken.
I also really appreciated the unique extras contained in the book, such as the dehydrate charts and the 1-week meal plan and shopping list. Highly recommend!

The Ninja Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners by Linda Larsen is a cookbook authorized by Ninja and has 75 recipes for faster, healthier and crispier fried favorites. The recipes look relatively easy to make. What I liked among other things was the fact that there is a section about getting your kitchen air fryer ready. It tells you what accessories you may need, staples, spices. Even if you don't have a recipe, there is a chart on some things to cook and how. Also tips and tricks to make your meals successful.
The recipes include breakfast, snacks, and appetizers, vegetables and sides, fish and seafood, poultry mains, beef, pork and lamb and to round them up is a section on desserts.
I have a Power Air Fryer XL and by looking at each recipe, I can definitely use these recipes in my air fryer. The only thing I have to look for is a crisper tray. Also the difference in settings but it looks like it would be no problem figuring them out and adapting to it.
Some of the recipes that I like are the crab cakes, Easy General Tso's Chicken, Chicken legs and Baked Apples. I have made quite a few things in my air fryer since I have had it. The recipes in this cookbook will make me bring the fryer back into my kitchen.
You may ask why would I get a cookbook for a product I don't have. Well, I like different recipes and learning how to adapt them to my fryer.
I think that this cookbook will be very handy and hubby and I will love the recipes!

This is an add on book to help those who have just bought the product Ninja Air Fryer Max XL 101. It includes everything a person would need to understand their new purchase and also some great recipes. In reviewing this, I do not own the product and was instead interested in using my brand of air fryer to test the recipes. I found the book useful, the items tasty and as promised, and everything very easy - from preparation to cooking.

The book breaks down as follows: Ninja Air Fryer Max XL 101; Start Crisping!; Breakfast, Snacks and Appetizers; Vegetables and Sides; Fish and Seafood; Poultry Mains; Beef, Pork, and Lamb; Dessert; Air Fry Cooking Chart for the AF100 Series Nina; Dehydration Chart for the AF100 series Ninja; Air Fry Cooking Chart for the AF 160 series Ninja; Max Crisp Cooking Chart for the AF 160 Series Ninja; Dehydration Chart for the AF160 Series Ninja; Bonus Ninja Air Fryer 1-Week Meal Plan and Shopping List; Measurement Conversions.

The section on "Start Crisping!" is very good, with information on: 1) get your kitchen ready, 2) step by step frying tips, 3) how to ad-hoc meals when you have loose ingredients but no recipe, 4)
7 tips for the perfect crisp.

The recipes were designed to be very easy for beginners and to take less than 30 minutes, start-to-finish. Each recipe is nicely laid out in 3 colors: a blue title, a red call-out box with prep time/cook time/serving size/temperature/type of cooking. There is an italicized introduction that tells you a bit about what you are making. Then in red italics are dietary considerations (nut free, vege, etc.). The ingredients are listed separately in bold font, and then the steps are short and numbered. At the bottom are variation tips and then break downs of calories, carbs, protein, fiber, sodium, etc.

The layout is crisp and every third recipe or so has a photograph. The meal plan at the back is a nice addition for getting the most from the fryer. The tips for the various Ninja fryer models are useful if you own one of those machines.

In all, a really nice cookbook especially useful for those who own the Ninja Air Fryer products. But you don't have to own a Ninja to get use from the recipes or many of the tips here. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.
