A lovely story with a war background. Finding that you know someone who could save you, but they are on the other side of the holocaust is not an easy start to a romance.

There is a reason books from the 3W's are so popular. This was an excellent work of historical fiction. I look forward to their next book and I am kind of bummed it is not out already. I am surprised I cannot find anything about their next joint effort. I blame the pandemic, and hopefully they will put another out again.

Three authors collaborate to tell the story of three women across three time periods -- the finished product, a wonderful tale of courage and love. Aurelie, the daughter of an American and a French nobleman, becomes a local heroine as she stands up to the German officials who have taken over the family estate in WWI. Could a legendary talisman, supposedly a token from Joan of Arc, protected her from harm? Daisy, aka Marguerite, raised by her grandmother at the famous Ritz hotel in Paris, finds her husband's true colors as he weasels himself into the graces of the occupying Nazis in the early years of WWII. Her disdain for his betrayal leads her to help the Resistance. And in 1954, English widow Babs tries to adjust to life without her husband Kit. When she is contacted by an American who is trying to clear up a mystery about a Resistance fighter known at LeFleur, who had supposedly worked on secret operations with Kit during the war, Babs wants answers. Perhaps solving the mystery of LeFleur will also reveal who wrote the love letter that Babs had kept secret from Kit. Time slip novels are very popular now, but I've found many to be disappointing. Too often one story outshines the other, or the two parts don't totally mesh in spirit. Not so with this novel. I could easily adjust from one story to another, and I always felt the three stories were leading to one powerful conclusion. It amazes me that this was accomplished by three, not one, author(s). I received an ecopy of this book from Netgalley. i also listened to the audio for several chapters which was an easy listen despite the changes in characters and setting. All opinions are mine.

Three formidable women. Three different time periods. One hotel that connects their stories together. The authors again provide historical fiction at its best.

An historic fiction with alternating chapters that follow three different women in three different time periods and a hotel (the Ritz in Paris) that unites them. I liked it but was easily confused and am still not sure I understand exactly everyone’s connection to everyone else. ⁣

What a remarkable group of women this book introduces the reader to! Three engrossing stories surrounding both world wars and a quest for answers. Each main character could easily have a book written just about them. Love amidst turmoil, family loyalty and sacrifices; these are the unifying themes. This most recent collaboration by the "W's" is perhaps their best.

A terrific, compelling, brilliant book. RIveting and fascinating covering three generations. Secrets, passions, heroics. There's not a false note.

Excellent reading material co written by three highly rated authors. Beautifully written. This story will capture your attention from the first page and will not let go until the last chapter. Five stars.

ALL THE WAYS WE SAID GOODBYE by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White is subtitled a novel of the Ritz Paris and it is yet another collaboration (The Glass Ocean, The Forgotten Room) from these three prolific authors. This work of historical fiction centers on three women and three time periods: 1914 when Aurélie seeks to escape the Germans; 1942 with Daisy acting as a courier for forged identity documents; and 1964 when Babs is drawn into a search for a resistance fighter and possible traitor called La Fleur. Full of romance, secrets/spies, and adventure – this novel is sure to please readers of women's fiction.

All the Ways We Said Goodbye by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White is told using three characters following three timelines. The French heiress Aurelie’s story takes place in France in 1914 as World War I breaks out. The Resistance fighter Daisy’s tale is set during World War II. Babs, a British widow, is drawn to Paris in 1964 to solve a mystery from her war veteran husband’s life. Seemingly, the stories are connected by the Ritz Hotel in Paris…but is that the only way they are connected?

Following three timelines is a real challenge, especially since supporting characters crossover into the stories. I found myself constantly wondering how the three main characters and timelines would finally converge.
World war novels have been enjoying a resurgence lately, and this is one of the better ones for me who is world-war-weary as the focus is not on the wars specifically but on the people who were affected by them.

This is the first book I’ve read by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White as collective authors. I was intrigued to read the book because I just heard Karen White speak at the Dahlonega Literary Festival in March before the virus hit about the process the three authors follow to write a book together. These authors previously collaborated to write The Glass Ocean and The Forgotten Room. I have read both Karen White and Beatriz Williams as lone authors and enjoyed their books.

I loved this book! I’m a big fan of historical fiction and all of the characters in this book were incredible. I picked it up and couldn’t put it down. It has everything you could possibly want in a book- war, romance, heartbreak- it tugged at the strings of my heart and I’m perfectly okay with that. I also thought it was amazing how three different authors wrote three different characters in the books. I’ve never heard of that happen before and I think it turned out splendid and really helped the characters to stand out from one another.

All the Ways We Said Goodbye is a gorgeous historical fiction from some of the true power houses in the genre.

The story follows three different woman, on three different time lines. One woman during WWI, one woman during WWI and the last woman during the 60s. What do these woman have in common? Everything and nothing and the same time.

During WWI, we meet Aurelie, who is the daughter of Comte Courcelles and the American heiress. She finds herself on the wrong side of the war and trapped with her father int he front of the war. When the Germans move in to her family's estate, she discovers that Max Von Sternburg is among them, a German she first met during her debutante days in Paris. Max and Aurelie find themselves falling in love despite all the wrongness going on around them, but much too soon Aurelie finds herself in Paris and the Ritz with her heiress mother with unexpected consequences.

During WWII, Daisy was raised by her American grandmother in the glamorous Hotel Ritz, she now has two kids and married to a Nazi collaborator after France falls to Hitler. Daisy finds herself in a very difficult position between her grandmother and her husband. After much thought she agrees to assist her grandmother's Resistance efforts and becomes a courier for a skilled forger. What she didn't realized was by agreeing to it was that she would fall in love with the English forger named Legrand. When Daisy and Legrand's lives are at risk, she will find out more than she wanted about her family history and lose more than she ever wanted at the same time.

France, 1964 we meet Babs, her husband has been dead for one year. She receives a letter from an American lawyer, Drew, who's father served with her husband during the war. He wants her help to find, Le Fleur. She joins Drew, because she has heard that name coming from her husband before. And together they will go on a journey to find not only Le Fleur but much more than they were looking for.

This book was amazing, it's love, war and everything in between. I loved the going back and forth in the time frame. I loved getting to know these three woman, getting to know what happen during WWI and WWII and what each of those two woman did, but also what different things people had to go through during those times. And the different love stories, that was so touching and wonderful. Just a warning, the beginning of the book may be a little slow but once you get through the first quarter of it, you will not be able to put it down.

You will never go wrong to read books by those there authors. Here you will find a phenomenal storyline. Heart put into writing. Moving story and a wonderful inspiration. I simply loved it!

3 great authors make for 1 great reading experience. “All the Ways We Said Goodbye” is really a family saga that spans 50+ years from 1914 - 1964. There are historical elements, due to the setting being France and two of the time periods being WW 1& 2. Lots of romance, a good mystery, a plot twist you WILL NOT expect and history with adventure to satisfy just about every reader.

Loved this book...eventually. I took a while to get into, lots of characters, but once I did I didn't want it to end!

Team W (Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White) have done it again! I really enjoyed this multi-generational tale set in France during WWI, WWII, and the 1960s. Filled with strong women, who have to make difficult choices, a mystery to keep you reading, and sweeping family sagas, "All the Ways We Said Goodbye" is a perfect read.

This isn't Team W's first book together, and it shows. The transitions between writers were so seamless, I could never tell when one author stopped and another started. This story will truly transport you.

This was a beautiful and evocative novel. I often hesitate to read novels written by multiple authors because it can seem very disjointed. I think that this novel takes place across multiple story lines helps with the flow. I do think some sections stand up a little better than other but other than that this was a very enjoyable historical fiction read.

A beautifully written story of family and their story, that encompasses both world wars and the 60's. It's a story of love, of family, of hurt, pain and joy. With a small mystery thrown that ties the story together. Written through the eyes of the women who experienced the wars and their aftermaths. A timely tale.
