In “The Innkeeper’s Bride,” Selah finds a job at the Stoll Inn, a newly opened Amish inn run by the Stoll family. She tries to deny her attraction to Levi Stoll, while at the same time keep her job and control her runaway emotions. Levi and Selah receive some matchmaking help from two elderly women in the Amish community. Elders Cevilla and Richard are attracted to each other, but conflicts with family members threaten their relationship. These situations form the core themes of this novel. Additional themes include dealing with clinical depression, desiring independence, and incorporating modern values while maintaining Amish cultural traditions.

The plot of this clean Christian novel moves along well and maintains reader interest throughout. The Godly message is clear, but not preachy. Characters are portrayed as flawed humans, who seek to maintain their relationships while incorporating their faith and value system. Readers will discover that miracles happen! The ending provides a fine set-up for the next novel in the series. This is the third book in a series, although it can be read as a stand-alone.

I received this novel from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

The new Amish inn at Birch Creek is about ready to open, and the Stolls face several challenges as they work toward its launch, including the competition, who doesn’t want them to take away from his business. The Stolls hire a returning prodigal, Selah Ropp, who is determined to do things right. But the matchmakers are at work, interfering with the young couples’ lives. However, Cevilla may have found her own match as her ongoing relationship with her Englisch neighbor turns more serious. The story has plenty of problems and opportunities for growth as we enjoy spending time among the characters, who seem so real. I got a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Two beautiful love stories. Young and Old.
I enjoyed the whole book of The Innkeeper's Bride very much.

The Innkeeper's Bride can be read as a stand alone.
Highly recommend reading it. You won't be disappointed.

Look forward to reading more books by Kathleen Fuller in the future.

I received a free copy from NetGalley with no money exchange only an honest review. This is my honest review in my own words.

This title of this book suggests a lighthearted Amish romance and nothing could be further from the truth. While I found many of the Amish characters to be delightful and filled with kindness, others were quick to anger and so argumentative that I found it a challenge to finish the book so that I could review it. I don’t recall ever having such a strong negative reaction to characters in Amish fiction and while they all eventually work out their problems I really disliked the repetitious anger and negativity. The author featured one character with anxiety and depression and I truly wish she had spent less time with arguments and more time exploring these two topics in her story. Less anger would have left more time for the lighthearted Amish romance I was expecting. I read a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan Publishing through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

enjoyed this new book in the series. Selah and Levi are believable characters with personal reasons for staying single. I can feel a connection with the young Amish woman as I know what it is like to have anxiety. Levi is devoted to his family and making the inn a success which is something that can take over life, trying to survive with a new business. Cecilia and Delilah, two older Amish women are in a matchmaking mood but challenge one another to stay out of other people's business. This leads to some comical activity in a well written story that was hard to put down.
I like the characters in the story. It is a fun read, not overly Amish-religious, just nice everyday life and most of the characters happen to be Amish. It is a stand-alone book if you haven't read the others in the series yet.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced copy of the book. It is an excellent read for Valentine's Day.

The Innkeeper’s Bride by Kathleen Fuller is the third novel The Amish Brides of Birch Creek. It can be read on its own if you have not read The Teacher’s Bride and The Farmer’s Bride. I found The Innkeeper’s Bride to be well-written with realistic characters. I liked that the characters had their own struggles, doubts and fears. Selah suffers from clinical depression which is not uncommon. Depression is hard to understand unless you suffer from it yourself. Selah feels ashamed that that she has depression and needs the aid of medication and a health professional. She also made a mistake with a man and does not want the unfortunate incident brought to light. Levi has his own doubts and has made mistakes in the past. He wonders if working at the inn is the right job for him. Levi would like to get to know Selah better, but he does not want his family to know. His sister, Nina will tease him and his grandmother, Delilah will meddle. Cevilla Schlabach has tried to be patient while she has waited for Richard to make a life changing decision. Unfortunately, after spending her whole adult life single, Cevilla finds she is no longer content. Cevilla is afraid to tell Richard how she feels. I love the relationship between Richard and Cevilla. They are an adorable couple. I have enjoyed their relationship. Cevilla and Delilah have become friends (of sort). Delilah has been doing a little meddling and barges in on Cevilla to get her feedback as well as complain when things do not go as she expected. There are some humorous moments between the two of them and I like their conspiring. Jackson Talbot and his father, Trevor are in The Innkeeper’s Bride. Trevor Talbot owns the Stay Inn which has been the only place to stay in Birch Creek until now. He does not like this new competition and sends Jackson to get intel on the Stoll Inn. I like Jackson and his journey. I would like to see more of Jackson. I enjoyed reading The Innkeeper’s Bride in which the author gave us delightful characters and a beautiful setting along with faith and humor. I like how Kathleen Fuller incorporate faith into the story. I am hoping that we get Nina Stoll’s story next time. The Innkeeper’s Bride is a charming, witty tale (of course, I expect nothing less from Kathleen Fuller).

"Life never goes like we plan. God usually has something better in store for us even if we don't know we needed or wanted it."

Levi had never met a stranger. Selah(I love her name) was still reeling from the past.
Reading, I pitied her and at the same time admired the fact that she decided to move forward and make a new life for herself.

Both of them were trying to recover and overcome their past. Levi by running the Inn which he loves dearly and Selah by trying to take responsibility for herself and actions.

Their story will intrigue you and make you laugh when you read the parts of the matchmaking by Levi's grandmother.
Birch Creek brought to them what they needed and more. Love always wins.

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

Author Kathleen Fuller takes us back to Birch Creek in the third book of the Amish Brides of Birch Creek series. Don’t worry, you can read this as a standalone, however if you enjoy Amish fiction you’ll want to read books 1 & 2, I promise!

The characters are well developed and interesting, pulling the reader into the story. Fuller tackles some tough subjects, but does it gracefully and it’s not overwhelming. And with two matchmaking Mammis, there is a lot of fun to be had. Include a charming romance and there is something in this book for everyone!

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

I've really enjoyed all of the Birch Creek books by Kathleen Fuller. I've read all of them and their all winners. This is the third book in the Amish Brides of Birch Creek series.

This is Selah and Levi's story.
Selah lives with her brother and his wife but wants to make her own way in life. To do so she must be gainfully employed and save up money to do so.
Levi Stoll and his father are newcomers to Birch Creek working to open a new Amish Bed and Breakfast Inn. Problem is there is also another new Inn opening close by and it's their competition.

When Selah is hired on at Levi and his father's Inn she's happy and starts to change for the better.
Now Selah has a difficult time with some things but because of embarrassment she doesn't want to talk about it. The author does a real nice job of handling this sensitive subject.

Also continuing the story from previous books are secondary characters Richard and Cevilla, an older couple who are struggling with some issues in their relationship and I must say it was so nice to see an older couple relationship because we are not all in the first blush of love but still enjoy reading romance.

There are really several story lines running here at the same time .
You really get a sense of the Amish community reading this and realize like us they have plenty of their own problems to sift through.
Charming characters and an intriguing plot will keep you reading.
I really enjoyed this heartwarming book a lot and look forward to reading many more books by this author.

I absolutely LOVE this author and this book! The character development is great and the fact that it perfectly coincides with other book’s interesting the series helps to give closure on the others I have already read about. The love story is sweet and you feel like you are a part of the story. That is what makes a great read, in my opinion! Definitely worth checking out!

Selah Ropp moves back to her old hometown in the Amish community of Birch Creek, Ohio. While living in New York with her parents, she suffered an experience which left her depressed and anxious. On the advice of her therapist, she goes to live with her brother Christian, and sister-in-law, Ruby. Though she feels like a third wheel in their home, she does all the cooking and cleaning while Ruby and Christian are at work.

However, Selah, getting restless, wants a place of her own, which she can only accomplish if she can find employment and pay her own way.

While attending the wedding of her friend, she encounters Levi Stoll, who tries to make conversation with her, but she is apprehensive and acts aloof toward him. Levi is a gregarious guy who never meets a stranger, and though he is not interested in having a girlfriend, he is intrigued by Selah and puzzled by her manner.

Levi and his family have renovated their property and are in the process of opening it as an Inn. Though Levi's father, Loren, sister, Nina, and grandmother, Delilah are there to oversee the work needed, when his father falls off the roof after repairing shingles and is laid up with a broken leg, they realize they need to hire outside help.

After learning of Loren's accident, Selah delivers dinner to their household--which is the Amish way. Delilah escorts her into the kitchen of their house for a talk. Delilah mentions hearing Selah is looking for work and offers her a job as the maid and part-time hostess. Somewhat hesitant and fearful of encountering Levi, Selah accepts, as this is her way to become independent.

"After she shooed Selah to the inn, Delilah went back into the kitchen and sat down at the table. She picked up her tea, satisfied. She was often surprised by God's timing, and this was no exception. When she saw Selah standing on their front doorstep with the heavy basket of food in her hands, it hit her that the young woman was the answer to several prayers. First, they did need a maid, and no one had answered the ad. Now they wouldn't have to scramble to find someone at the very last minute before they opened.

"Selah Ropp was also another answer to Delilah's prayers, her private ones. She had promised to stay out of Levi's and Nina's love lives and had fully intended to keep that promise, but that was before Selah moved back to town. She belonged to a responsible family--her brother and sister-in-law were teachers and had the trust of the community with their most precious possession, their children. Quality relatives were of the utmost importance. She knew firsthand how life could be when family wasn't what it was supposed to be.

"Selah's family was a good sign, but Delilah had fully made up her mind to intervene when she caught Levi looking at Selah during the last church service. Her grandson had always ignored female attention, and she had never noticed him paying attention to a particular girl before. Seeing him gazing at Selah had lit a lightbulb in her head. She had to jump at the chance to nudge Levi in the right direction. Of course, any woman would be happy to date her grandson. That was a given. The best way to make sure that happened? Put them in each other's proximity.

"She grinned again, the stress of the past few days finally starting to fade..."

Delighted to attain work she desperately desires Selah is somewhat intimated by Delilah, and she is also determined to keep her distance from Levi. There is something she finds attractive about the handsome young man her, yet she vows to remain single and not even think about romance.

As the novel progresses, one can't help but speculate about Selah's past. What happened to cause her such pain and the need for antidepressants? This keeps popping up giving depth and interest to Selah's character.

It is also humorous and charming how Delilah and her best friend, Cevilla Schlabach are up to their matchmaking shenanigans. Typical of elderly grandmothers, they want to find romance for the younger set. Though Delilah is concerned with her grandchildren, now grown and still unwed, Cevilla, who's always been single wonders if Richard, her next-door neighbor and the love of her life will ever commit to her.

The crux of this story deals with communication. Selah, always afraid of doing or saying the wrong thing, is a sensitive young woman who has been hurt, therefore, she reads things differently Levi, somewhat bullheaded and prideful is confused by Selah's demeanor, which has the two of them often at odds.

The same is true with Cevilla and Richard. Because they both are full of pride, they do not talk to each other or really listen, causing their problems. With their strong faith in God and devotion for one another, they demonstrate anything is possible.

The Innkeeper's Bride is a sweet and inspirational easy read sure to offer pleasure in life's chaotic and confusing times.

Selah Ropp has returned to Birch Creek, living with her brother and his wife. Selah has secrets about herself that is embarrassing and she doesn't want others to know. She has vowed to remain single following a bad relationship and feeling she is a bad judge of character. While keeping house for her brother and sister-in-law, she wants to earn her own money so that she can have an apartment of her own.
The Stoll family are almost ready to open their inn, and hire Selah to work for them. Selah enjoys her work there, but...there is Levi Stoll who she begins to develop feelings for. She has to remind herself that she can't trust her feelings/judgement. What if he's like Oliver from her past?
Selah is so upset when Levi was witness to one of her anxiety attacks, but he was kind and understanding.
Levi's grandmother, Delilah has vowed to stop her matchmaking, but can she keep her nose out of Levli and Selah's business? What about Cevilla-can she also cease with her matchmaking? These two delightful older ladies are quite amusing and very likeable with all their tactics!
Cevilla and Richard are an elderly couple who reunited after many many years apart. Cevilla has grown weary of waiting for Richard to join the church. You see, Richard is Englisch. He lives next door to Cevilla and they spend most of their time together. Richard has complications as his grown daughter is very much against Richard ever remarrying. She wants him to return to New York.
This is a very heartwarming story. Although, it's part of a series, I encourage you to read this one even if you haven't read the previous two. It's great as a stand alone, but I suspect you'll soon be reading the previous ones!
I received a complimentary of this book from the publisher, Zondervan and Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.

Another great story by Kathleen Fuller. Kathleen is one of my favorite Amish fiction authors for a reason. Her stories are always entertaining and fun to read.

This is a story about Levi and Selah who find themselves working together at the Stoll Inn owned by Levi’s family. Even though Levi and Selah are attracted to each other, misunderstandings and Selah’s feelings over her past keep them apart. Until two old women decide to intervene.

Great story. Great characters. Great plots and subplots. I really enjoyed reading this.

I received this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my review. My opinions are my own.

I enjoyed the story. I did not realize until I started reading this that it is the third book in the series. This time it seems like it did matter. The story would have been more interesting if I had read the previous books, but it was ok that I hadn't.
It is an Amish love story, but the title is a bit misleading. I do not want to explain further and spoil the story. This book does show the importance of trusting God, not all Christian books do.
The characters were quite well developed, though as stated previously, it would have been better to read the other books first, you would have known the characters better and you would have understood where they were coming from.
I enjoyed the story, and if you enjoy Amish romance, you will enjoy it also. The editing was not great but it was an ARC version and maybe didn't transfer well to my Kindle. I give the story a 3 out of 5 star rating. This received this book from Zondervan Publishing through NetGalley. This review is not required and is my own, honest opinion.

Another wonderful addition to The Brides of Birch Creek series, by Kathleen Fuller. Selah Ropp returns to Birch Creek with a personal secret.....a secret she must keep hidden, but can she? She is faced with living with her brother and new wife and the desire to have her own job. Well, she finds that job at the new inn, remodeled and run by Levi Stoll's family. In trying to hide her secrets, Selah realizes that some secrets need to be shared in order to heal. We watch as Selah and Levi are stumbling through their relationship and for those who have followed this series, we continue to watch as Sevilla goes through her ups and downs with her relationship with a lifelong English friend. Where will it go?? Will Sevilla get her wishes or will she sabotage the process.....will Selah find a way to deal with her secrets or will she push away those who care the most? Once again Kathleen Fuller has drawn the reader into a story that touches on an issue that is not often spoken of and one that has touched many families. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, loved the matchmakers stumbles and the following the course of relationships that had their own issues. Sit back, grab a nice glass of the beverage of your choice, light the fire of book you will not want to end and enjoy!!

The Innkeeper's Bride by Kathleen Fuller is now on sale! Released on January 14, 2020, it is the third book in the Amish Brides of Birch Creek series. Now, you don't have to read them in order, but I recommend it because you get to know the other characters in the book better.

In this installment, we again meet Selah who currently lives with her brother Christian and his wife, Ruby. Selah recently came back to Birch Creek after staying with her parents for awhile. Selah is going through some difficult times. This is an interesting aspect of the story because we usually don't see this type of issue in an Amish story. Without giving too much away, Selah struggles with some problems she has and a past she can't seem to forgive herself for.

Levi Stoll and his family have settled into Birch Creek to start an inn. It's hard work but the family is excited about their new venture, They just need guests and a chance to get it off the ground. However, there's a modern hotel nearby also opening and there's going to be competition. There's room for everyone but not if someone is working underhandedly to try and ruin things for the Stolls.

Also in the story is the continuing story of Richard and Cevilla who are in the later years in life and trying to overcome their own issues, mainly Cevilla being Amish where Richard is not. However, they are in love and they don't know how they will overcome their barriers to be together.

I enjoyed this series and I really enjoyed the fact that Ms. Fuller addressed the issues in Selah's life. I also liked that there are several different story lines in the book. I think a lot of people will enjoy this. It's part romance, part drama and part just good old family life within the Amish. It's also about friendships and faith, all the good things in life.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, the publisher and to Ms. Fuller for the ARC. Make sure you get yours today.

Finally, we have Selah's story and let me tell you it was worth the wait. I am not ashamed to admit for the first two books I could not stand Selah as I thought she was whiney, spiteful and at times hateful. Now that I understand why I want to go back and read the first two again as see her behavior with a different attitude. The story has reminded me not to judge others' bad attitudes so quickly as there may be a reason behind their bad behavior.

Although this is the third book in the Amish Brides of Birch Creek series you can read as a stand-alone with no problems. Each story deals with an individual couple and other characters make appearances. Each story is a clean romance with no sex or foul language.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, Zondervan Fiction, through NetGalley. Any and all opinions expressed in the above review are entirely my own.

The Innkeeper's Bride by Kathleen Fuller is book 3 of An Amish Bride of Birch Creek Novel series. I have not read book 2 yet but that was not a problem.
This is an enjoyable Amish novel with matchmakers, a budding romance, an update on an ongoing romance, family drama, and a medical condition. It basically has something that we all have dealt with in our lives.
I did not want to put it down once I started reading it. The story has an enjoyable flow that will keep you engrossed. You may be left with a craving for an orange twist though.
Fuller has the knack for writing Amish life with family love and humor.
I was given an ARC by NetGalley and the publisher, Zondervan for an honest review.

I loved that the author gives us a story with a young woman dealing with depression, often swept under the rug, but with Selah and her trying to go on with her life, we get a glimpse into what she has to deal with.
Then we have a young man that is quickly given more responsibility than he anticipated, and finds out he needs to learn to trust his faith.
Can these two unlikely individuals form a relationship?
Now, I have been a read the other two books in this series, and I love that old characters that I care about are brought back in this book, and we are updated!
We also have Amish match makes at their finest!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan. and was not required to give a positive review.
