I'm always surprised that there aren't more romance novels about marriages in trouble. There's guaranteed history and chemistry between the characters! Love Her or Lose Her was particularly well done. Rosie and Dominic were high school sweethearts, but barely speak to each other these days. When Rosie leaves, Dominic panics and says he'll do anything to get her back, so Rosie signs them up for some last ditch couples therapy. Their emotions felt valid and Bailey did a good job exploring those feelings.

What a sweet sequel to Fix Her Up! I think that it must be really hard to write a romance about a couple who is already married, but Tessa Bailey did an amazing job. In addition to revisiting all of the characters we fell in love with in the first book of the series, we are also introduced to a few new characters (including a hilarious hippie marriage counselor with a preference for threesomes).

If you haven't read the first book, you should (although you won't be missing anything if you read these out of order). Most of us in long term relationships can empathize with what Team Vega are going through. Not only do they find love again, but they also find themselves and start turning their nebulous future dreams into reality. This was a lovely read; highly recommended!

What happens after the Happily Ever After?

Rosie and Dominic are childhood sweetheart who have been married for 10 years. The routine of life and the day-to-day actions of simply going through the motions has slowly eroded their relationship. Their lack of meaningful communication and her unfulfilled dreams has prompted Rosie to move out.

Rosie proposes couples therapy before she gives up completely. By analyzing how they each convey love, either through words or deeds, they begin to slowly rebuild what they have lost. They start to really see each other for the first time in years.

With Tessa Bailey you always get the bold and raw sexy, but in this book she acknowledges the challenge of writing about an unraveling marriage and how a couple finds their way back to love. The theme of rebuilding a marriage is authentic, relatable, and done well.

All the women from the Just Us League are back along with their men. Wes, a new character is introduced and I cannot wait for Bethany to hook up with him in the next book.

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins for the ARC

Diverse characters + married romance + learning to communicate = falling in love again. Tessa Bailey does a wonderful job of writing a married couple who love each other going through difficult times and actually "working on their marriage."

Love, love, loved!! In Fix Her Up, we meet Dominic and Rosie. Rosie joins the Just Us League with issues in her marriage with Dominic. I wasn't expecting a book with them so soon, but as soon as I saw it on NetGalley, I screamed. I love Rosie and Dominic. Rooting for their marriage to work is no hardship. Tessa Bailey does it again, with a fun, intriguing, and heartwarming story. I CANNOT wait for Bethany and Wes' book to come out!

A sweet story about second chances. You don’t often get romances where the characters are already married. To each other. Rosie and Dominic have been together since middle school and married for ten years, but they’ve pretty much stopped communicating outside the bedroom. (Inside it is another story. That’s not the problem.) Rosie has finally had enough and tells Dom she’s leaving him, but when he begs for another chance, she’s surprised that he agrees to extreme couples therapy. Will it be enough? Are they worth saving?

Readers of Fix Her Up will recognize many familiar faces in this book, doing their best to help Dom and Rosie reconcile or move on. An emotionally satisfying journey.
