Thanks to Netgalley, author, and publisher for a copy of Bloodsuckers and Blunders.

This was a cute premise, it felt like I was in an episode of the Goosebumps tv show or one of those assorted paranormal shows for kids from the 90s. Unfortunately, I think it read much more middle grade than young adult (to me?) and I can be so hit or miss with MG stories/characters/writing style. It didn't work great for me but it will for other readers I'm sure!

Alana is a busy little bee. She is convinced that her new neighbors and vampires and sets out to reveal their secret. Unfortunately, Alana is not able to dedicate all of her time to this task as there are other situations that require her attention. This sounded like a really good idea for a story. However, the story line was not well executed. I was unable to get into the story and become invested in the characters and what would happen next. One thing I did appreciate was the diversity of the characters within the story. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

Sadly I didn't connect with this story as much as I had hoped, I found that it jumped too much from one character to another too quickly, and the characters didn't really resonate with me. They lacked too much depth for me. I was drawn to the story because I thought the premise sounded good. But i just couldn't connect with it, it seemed very scattered. But this could be something that is altered in the final edition. I loved how diverse the characters were though, with regards to race and gender.

Great idea, I really wanted to love it, but it was poorly executed sadly.
