My children and I both LOVE this book. It's silly. It's easy to read. And the illustrations are fanatstic.

'I Broke My Butt!: A Cheeky Sequel to the International Bestseller I Need a New Butt!' by Dawn McMillan with illustrations by Ross Kinnaird is a sequel about a young boy who seems to have a lot of problems with his backside.

The young man who was looking for a new butt is back, but this time, he has managed to break his butt. His attempts to glue things back together leads to an extra part being stuck to his backside. This presents problems, but also leads to interesting solutions.

I liked the first book well enough, and wondered why there might be a sequel. It's clever enough and borderline naughty with all the butt humor to make kids giggle. I liked the first one a bit better, but your mileage may vary.

My 6 year old daughter thought this was funny. It’s a cute series that is a good fit for most public libraries.

I never did get the file to open correctly. But I found it in the store and my daughter and I sat down right in the aisle and read it. We had a good laugh and I had to get it to show to several of my colleagues. I’ve shared it with several elementary students and they have all loved it. Hilarious, laughing out loud. Read it, if you have young kids.

This book made me laugh out loud! Very clever and lots of fun. The cute illustrations that make the book. I wish my boys were younger...they would have loved this!

Warning!!! Reading this book will cause serious fits of laughter from children. My boys absolutely loved this story. After having read the first book I knew it was a no brained to read this with them as well. Personally, I enjoyed the first story more due to the “real ness” of the situation. In this story the character actually breaks his butt into pieces. While not as realistic my two boys loved it all the same.

This is the second book starring a cracked and broken butt and both will be a favourite for kids to enjoy. Written in rhyme and full of fun this book will bring much laughter and entertainment to the reader. (especially reluctant readers)

A young boy has tumbled off his bike and broken his butt. It is fragmented terribly into huge chunks and his solution is to glue it together. Yes, that's the perfect fix. He blobs glue on the pieces and restructures his bottom. Yes, that seems to be working fine and although the crack remains the little boy doesn't seem to mind.

He is finally satisfied with his masterpiece, slops on more glue and presses his glutes into the gluey tray and voilà... oh oh... ohhhh NOOOOO.... the tray won't release from his butt. Does this mishap deter him from living his life happily? Absolutely not! When you've been given a broken bum don't get bummed out - celebrate that quirkiness and that's just what the boy did.

He adjusts his wardrobe to include the tray and he is off using his tray to slide in the mud, sand and snow, winning at paintball with his bum-shield, and surfing on big waves just to name a few. Who knew? He has a build-in fun machine attached to his butt. Whaahooooo!

An unfortunate crash disengages the tray and the boy has to make a decision. Should he re-attach the tray or just forget it? It was so much fun. What do you think he will decide to do? What would you do?

This book made me laugh. It is a great read. I know that kids will be delighted with this story and go back and read it again and again and also recommend it to their friends. The illustrations are full of action and emotion making the text come alive. I highly recommend this book.

I requested this book from NetGalley because my 6 year old son absolutely loved the first book, I Need a New Butt! This book continues the crazy antics of the first book, but now our protagonist has fallen and his butt has broken into pieces. When he goes to glue it together, he accidentally glues a tray to his rear, leading to even more wacky situations. While this book is certainly filled with silliness, there is also an aspect of problem solving throughout, as the boy continues to come up with solutions to the problems that arise. My son cracked up through the whole book, enjoying the illustrations as well as the silly rhymes. The rhyming is not as clean and precise as I like in children’s books, but in this book it works just fine - it’s not intended to be serious or precise, but to make kids laugh. And they WILL laugh!

I loved this as much if not more than I Need a New Butt. Maybe it's the immature me coming out but I cracked up and cannot wait to read this aloud at school to select classes. Students will be rolling listening to this.

A little boy breaks his butt, uses glue to put it back together, only to discover he's glued it, and himself to a tray.

Cute illustrations and a fun rhyme. Perfect for mid elementary aged kids.

This is not as endearing and funny as the first book. I kept thinking this was a metaphor or he was just confused but he literally broke his butt. I think small kids will still get a kick out of it. It does still have theme to make the best out of a bad situation.

I loved I need a new butt. It was no surprise that I loved this too. A silly story about broken butts and the shenanigans a little boy gets up to when he has to fix it and a tray gets glued to his behind.

I supposed butt jokes are not for everyone but this is childish and funny and I am pretty sure most people could see the silly in it.

I Broke My Butt is such a cute and funny story. I Broke My Butt is about a little boy why breaks his butt and tries to glue it back together. In the book you see him doing everyday things with his glued butt. The book is well written and the illustrations really add to the book.

The kids I read this to loved the book and kept asking me to read it. They spent the rest of the day talking about this book and about all things butt related! We highly recommend this book!

This is apparently the second book about this cheeky (sorry) kid. I haven't read the first one, but this seems to stand well enough on its own.

In somewhat clunky rhyme, the narrator tells us his tale of woe. He's fallen and broken his butt. I mean, it's shattered in pieces. When he takes off his pants, those pieces go tumbling onto the floor. So what does he do? He glues them back together. Unfortunately, when he goes to glue his butt back on, the tray he was using as a work surface becomes adhered to him as well. But he soon finds a way to make the best of things, even eventually deciding that having a tray glued to your butt has more benefits than drawbacks.

I have to admit, I cracked (sorry) a few smiles while reading this. It's not fancy literature, and the narrative gets kind of weak toward the end. But young kids will probably gobble this up and be glued to their seats during storytime. It's fun for a few laughs.
