I saw an add for this book and was immediately intrigued. I know that it is a conclusion to a series, but that didn't stop me from taking a look. Translated from Russian, *The Plucker* is book #4 in the Beastly Crime series, where Chief Badger and a cast of cleverly named animals try to catch a culprit who is plucking and burning feathers from birds in The Far Woods.
Though I would rather start from the beginning, this one was interesting enough to make me hunt down the backlist.
