This post is going to dive into Stacey Lynn's 4th novel in her Crazy Love series. The book is titled Weekend Fling. I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Willow Parks is the female lead in this story. She has her own part-time editing business, and also works in a coffee shop on the ground floor of the building that sexy Trey Collins happens to live in.

Willow is busy holding down two jobs and caring for her mother and doesn't have time to get back on the dating scene, but Trey has other ideas about that. He's a self-made millionaire who needs a date to his best friend's wedding. He's been interested in Willow since he met her when she began working in the coffee shop, but she constantly rejects him. But Willow is at her breaking point with responsibility and admits she could use a weekend away from work, and caring for her mother. She agrees to a weekend getaway with Trey to go to the wedding.

She is taken aback by all the money she is quickly surrounded by. And while their relationship becomes quite steamy over the weekend, they both wonder if it could be more after the weekend is over.

During the wedding reception Willow receives a phone call from her friend Cara, who she asked to keep an eye on her mother for the weekend. Cara tells Willow that they are at the hospital. Willow becomes full of doubt about everything and also doesn't want to throw all of her baggage on Trey so she tries to sabotage things on the relationship front so she can get a handle on all of her family problems.

I thought this contemporary romance had a bit more depth to it than a lot of others that I read, where the problem introduced to wreck everything is usually not as large, or realistic. Often when reading romance (as much as I enjoy it) I find myself saying... "That's not a real problem...". But this story reveals several problems ranging from self-doubt to financial problems, to mental health problems.

I honestly had a hard time putting this book down and I think anyone interested in contemporary romance would have a fun time with this one. It was released on November 26th so go get a copy! I can't wait to go back and read the first three books in Lynn's Crazy Love series!

Happy reading :)

This is the first book I've read by the author and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. The characters were engaging and the story flowed easily. Though I felt some hints at referencing other stories, it definitely reads as a stand-alone and just made me want to find the other stories and read them as well. I recommend for anyone who loves a sweet romance.

Such a sweet story. Sad and light hearted at the same time. Loved these characters. She fights the attraction while he embraces it

I volunteered to read this book through netgalley. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I enjoyed that it mental health representation. But there are a couple trigger warnings about depression and suicide. I really enjoyed this book. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 18 because of the sexual content. But it is a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to read more by this author. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is a definite 5 star read in my opinion.

4.5 stars! This is another great addition to the Crazy Love series. It’s a little more serious with Willow having a lot of baggage. But her and Trey get through it. It’s a heart warming story that a lot of people probably relate to on some level.

A fast paced romance with good characters, good romantic tension, and good story line. Will want to read more from this author

The last six months have been awful for Willow. Her dad walked out on her mom about a year ago, and her mom has fallen apart. Then Willow’s long-term (5 years) boyfriend declared their relationship was over and kicked her out. When she moved back home she discovered her mom and lost her job because she stopped showing up. Willow is working two jobs to try and keep the bills paid, and they are struggling.

Trey (millionaire app creator from previous book) flirts with Willow and has been asking her out weekly for the past two months. He wants to get to know Willow and offers her a weekend away while he attends the wedding of his best friend. Hesitant at first, Willow decides to go for it, giving herself a long-overdue vacation.

Weekend Fling is fun, but missed the mark for me. At first Trey kind of creeped me out. He is very aggressive about getting Willow to go out with him. Additionally, he objectifies Willow, making it all about how hot her body is, to an amount that made me uncomfortable with him as a hero. However, once they get away, we witness his tender side, seeing how he takes care of those in his inner circle.

Willow is run down and in need of time away, but she worries about her mom, who clearly has coping issues. Whether Willow didn’t want to see her mom’s mental issues, or if she was too busy trying to take care of their lives, it is evident to the reader that her mom needs help, which makes it predictable that as soon as Willow gets away, her mom has a breakdown.

The pair experience intense attraction and instalove, although Willow denies her feelings because of guilt over her mom. Luckily Trey pushes her with gentle reminders that he’s not going away, helping her realize she can depend on him. They share smexy times, but the actual connecting on a deeper level doesn’t fully develop on page.

Weekend Fling is very easy and light, even in dealing with serious mental issues. In the Author’s Notes, Ms. Lynn discusses how her friend took her own life and how that impacted the story. How she needed to address that emotional component for herself while keeping the book light. I would say she’s done that, but at the same time I feel like the mom was just a prop to add conflict to the couple who otherwise had it easy.

My Rating: C+ Liked It, but I had issues

Drowning in the stressors of life, an impromptu somewhat inappropriate proposition seems like a great idea... almost as great as the guy making it!

Weekend Fling is about the best guy ever, Trey. If you haven't already been stalking this crew- shame on you! I'm partial to nerds with jock bodies and amazing...hearts. Trey, dear Trey, is all that and more. With a proposal to be his date for his best friend's weekend wedding, the possibilities become endless. Hope, romance, and lust pollute the air and with it we wait to see the choices Willow makes.

3.5 stars

Weekend Fling definitely lives up to the Crazy Love series standards.
While I did feel like Willow was acting like an idiot for a hot minute, I quickly got over that. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for more!!
5 stars!

This was a quick cute read. I loved getting to see characters from the previous books and how everyone connects. Willow and Trey were super cute together and had great chemistry.

I really liked this book.
Willow is very busy, trying to juggle work and family.
Trey is very sweet, though he's used to getting his way.
I really liked that he had a stutter and was determined to make things work with Willow.

A weekend get away with Willow being his date to a wedding?

Yes, yes, yes, we finally get Trey's story. I really loved him in 28 Dates, and I'm soooo jazzed it's finally his turn at love. This book was such a surprise, while continuing the fun times as the previous books, Weekend Fling also delivers an emotional punch. This isn't your typical millionaire meets barista and instant love. There's so much more waiting to be uncovered in Trey and Willow's story.

Trey is so swoony! The tech millionaire usually stays buried in work until a feisty blond catches his attention at the local coffee shop. Not one to give up easily, he's asked her out multiple times to each be answered with a definite no. Willow has a lot going on in her life. A lot of up-heave, stress, and she's doesn't have time for the hot and sexy Trey. But when he proposes a weekend away, she needs the break from regular life. Little does she know it will change her life forever.

Trey and Willow make a dreamy combination. At every turn, Trey proves he's a man to be trusted, can be leaned on, can be counted on. Every page spoke right to my heart! Willow needed him exactly in some pivotal moments and he didn't disappoint. He really was her prince charming; he certainly charmed me!

Weekend Fling is one of my favorites this series. The emotional situation, the mental health issues all struck home. The tears were always mixed with smiles afterwards, this book is a total winner! I hope you enjoy!

“Nothing in life is guaranteed, including escaping with a heart that’s never been broken, but I have a feeling if I trust it to Trey, he’ll do his damnedest to ensure it doesn’t happen.”

An all-paid weekend in another city, in a luxury hotel with a handsome millionaire in tow. Who would be crazy to refuse this offer?
But for Willow, embarking on the fantasy Trey provides isn't an easy task. Fresh out of a long relationship, working two jobs, with countless unpaid bills and a depressed mom, romance is the last thing on her mind. But the charming client who regularly appears in the cafeteria where she works is patient, and even with so many refusals he still expects her to accept his invitation to a date.
Trey may be a computer genius but when it comes to social skills he's a complete failure. His slight stuttering insists on appearing when he gets nervous. And Willow makes him nervous. The beautiful blonde he watches daily intrigue him, on a level that even he does not understand. If she just accepted his invitation….
But with his best friend's wedding, Trey needs a date. And Willow, tired of so many problems, throws caution into the air and decides to accept it. After all, she needs a vacation. The handsome man accompanying her and clearly showing interest in something more is just a bonus,
And surrounded by sea, sand, friends and the wedding vibe, romance is inevitable. But real life does one of its own and this new relationship will be put to the test. And it looks like it won't survive.
Trey steals the show. I fell in love with the character. His parents are hilarious and the scene at the hotel is very funny. Willow aroused mixed feelings. While I understand her problems and sympathize, I think she could at least deal with Trey in another way.
The romance is very present in the plot, but a serious subject is also part of the narrative, giving a more dramatic air. Depression is a serious matter and help should be sought.
The characters from the other books in the series appear, all gathering for Caitlin and Jonas's wedding. An interesting read with a wonderful male crush.

Willow is taking care of her mother, who suffers from depression and is working two jobs, one of which is working as a barista. Trey, an attractive multimillionaire patronizes the coffee shop regularly and is attracted to Willow. He invites her for the weekend to attend his best friend's wedding. Upon her mother's encouragement, Willow accepts. All goes well and sparks fly, but Willow leaves abruptly when she finds out her mother is in the hospital. Willow tells Trey to leave because her life is in turmoil. Trey, who is used to getting his own way, is persistent. An interesting peek at depression and its effects on others. Also a warm love story.

Willow Parks has been fending off tech mogul Trey Collins. Though he is good looking and, in another life, she would go out with him. Her life now with her mother not being able to function, she had to work two jobs she has no time for dating.
Trey finds out though that she is free on the weekend coming up. He asks her to be his plus one at his weekend function in San Diego. After much arm twisting, she finally agrees. Once there with him, she does have a good time and would actually like to be with him. She does not see that happening though.
When she gets a call about her mother she bolts and rushes home. Once she makes it to the hospital and thinking everything will be alright, she runs into her father whom she blames for her mother going off the deep end. Going off on him in the hall at the hospital is not the right time but oh well. When finished he it there, Trey he had heard everything and she feels horrible. she will not see him at all. If he wants anything to do with her he will have to make an effort. The end of this story feels very real as well as the story. The characters will keep you going. Overall a very good book.

This is the 1st book I've read by this author & I'm glad I read it. While it's the 4th book in the series it can be read alone, however, after reading this book all I want to do now is read the previous books.

Willow has just been dumped and her father has left her mother, leaving Willow to pick up the pieces. Trey is sweet & fun and his parent's are a hoot. The weekend fling quickly becomes much more and the author dealt with Willow's mother mental health issues in a realistic & non-judgmental way.

This is a fun & sexy read. I will definitely read more by this author.

I love discovering new to me authors and this one is going on my must read list. Great characters, humor, romance, and the right amount of sexy make for a fast paced read I couldn't put down. The book touches on a very sensitive topic and does it with compassion and grace. I will be going back to read about the other couples and I look forward to more.

Weekend Fling by Stacey Lynn is a must-read story. It was a terrific story and I loved the storyline and the characters. The story moved at a fast pace and flow, and I read it quickly. This is Willow and Trey’s story, and it was fun to see how it unfolded. Trey fell hard and fast, but Willow took more time working out her issues. Trey was patient and it paid off in the end. Let me just say I loved Trey’s character and attitude. This story is recommended to all. I look forward to more stories from Stacey Lynn.

I am pleasantly surprised with this story, both with content and execution.

Okay, so this book wasn’t just a romance fiction fluff read. There was meat to this story LOL I don’t want to use the word angst because that word tends to depict tragedy and heartbreak, and this wasn’t that. It was more like #RealTalk life issues that we sometimes don’t see in romance fiction, but they are real. So that’s what I mean when I say that I was pleasantly surprised.

This was overall, a very fun and flirty semi-short read. I was done reading before I even knew what was happening LOL I enjoyed the heck out of Trey!

I’ve been a bit sporadic with my reads by Stacey Lynn in the past, but I think it’s time to put her in the front of the line. Well done!
