Good conclusion to this series. Willow is friends with the couple from book 2, and Trey is friends with the other two couples. Willow and Trey hook-up for one weekend at his friend's wedding. Then hell breaks loose at home with Willow's mother. She runs, and avoids him. She finally lets him help her, and true love wins in the end.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for providing this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
After requesting this ARC, only then did I realize it's #4 in a series. And I haven't read the other books. But that's never stopped me before from plunging into a story world. In fact, I feel it shows how well an author can write a novel within a series and make it feel complete. Five stars for hitting the mark on this one!
I loved this story. The characters aren't perfect, all have their individual quirks, and some have the heaviest of baggage, which totally endeared me. The author's treatment of Willow and the dynamics in her family was excellent. It actually showed the reader we're all unreliable narrators of our own stories as we view the past from the lens of our individual experiences. And we don't always have all the facts to make an accurate judgment.
Back to the romance ... I wondered why Trey, a millionaire, would fixate on a barista. But we're eventually shown through others how beautiful Willow is (which probably caught his eye to begin with), and later we realize how much he's observed her to see her inner beauty, how kind she is with everyone. I can't imagine what it's like to have that much money (Trey) and always be wondering if people are nice because of your money and what they can get out of you, but it's obvious that Trey finds Willow refreshing and different from other women he's dated. She constantly turns down his offer of a date, yet he sees that she's a good person. And when she finally spills about her problems, he admires her for her loyalty to her mother and trying to carry all that load alone. Okay, Trey. Fixation understood.
The story has nuance and depth, something that's usually lacking in a so-called light romance read. So many moments of all the emotions and feels. Even hilarity. The author packs a ton of great stuff into a less-than-full-length novel. Color me impressed.
I enjoyed this book but felt like parts were missing. I didn't think him coming in for coffee for a couple months was really the basis for a relationship. I didn't really understand how he stuck by her after all she put him through. It would have been nice to know more about their relationship and not just their attraction to each other. I liked touching base with the couples from the other books.
Trey..... swoon! This story was just perfect. Trey has it all , money, looks , family and friends . There is just one thing he wants, and that’s the sexy little barista Willow. Willow is drowning in debt trying to help her mother.
For me it was nice to see the trouble character be the female, I think too often we seethe male lead struggle with his feelings. I loved the banter between willow and trey as well as all the other characters. This book has heat but oh so many swoon worthy moments.
Thank you netgalley and Stacey Lynn for another amazing ARC title from a great writer
I started this book last night and finished it this morning. I had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed reading this book immensely! It kept me entertained from the first to the last page!!!
Willow is working two jobs to help out her mother financially. She works as a barista, and everyday there’s Trey, sexy self made millionaire, who asks her out on a date for months . Until one day she accepts to go away for a weekend. Is it all just a weekend fling?!
Like I said, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was funny in the beginning, but also went really deep in between! Willows mother deals with depressions, and I think everybody who knows someone with depression knows how hard that can be.
Loved it, and totally recommend this book!!!
I kindly received an arc from the publisher through Netgalley, and voluntarily left a review
This the 3rd book in this series that I’ve read. I like the writing style and the storylines. Cute romance!

Fine, if you are hot and want to drag me on an all expenses paid vacation, I am probably going to go. (Don't tell my husband, ok?)
And, this is the decision that Willow makes when Trey asks her to accompany him on a weekend trip out of town. Willow is dealing with a lot and a break from her life and the things she is dealing with feels too good to be true.
It's also not as simple as she thought, as feelings and expectations get involved, as they always do. This was an easy read, and a quick one, but it was hot and enjoyable. I loved the characters, I loved how much Trey genuinely wanted Willow, and was willing to do what it took to show her how much he wanted to be with her. I liked this, a lot. And, it made it believable that she was willing to give him a chance to be more than a weekend fling.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.
Stacy Lynn is a talented writer. I enjoyed Weekend Fling and would recommend it to a friend. My recommendation would come with a suicide trigger warning. Weekend Fling has a bit more weight to it (because of one character’s fight with what read like bi-polar disorder). Lynn handled the topic with care. In so doing, this element didn’t burden the story, but it does feel like a bit of a departure from her other writing. The author’s note explains more.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Willow is working two jobs and caring for her mother because her dad just walked out on them and left her mother devastated. Trey is a self made billionaire and has flirted with the barista from his favourite coffee shop since the day she started. Finally she agrees to go with him to his friend’s wedding for the weekend. This is their chance to have a weekend fling, get each other out of their systems and then go on with their busy lives.
This is a cute sexy romance that will have you laughing one minute and swooning the next minute. I really felt sorry for Willow ... she gets dumped by her longtime boyfriend and then has to move in with her mother to take care of her ... putting her own life on hold. And Trey ... I loved him from the other books and I was glad he got his own book. This is a great addition to the series.
I received an early copy courtesy of Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
Willow Parks has been deserted by her boyfriend of five years and returns home to help her mother after her father left their marriage of thirty years. Willow is wearing herself out working two jobs to try to pay all the bills. While working at Java Joe’s, Willow meets Trey Kollins, a kind and wealthy man who is attracted to her. When Trey needs a date for his friends’ wedding, he offers Willow a chance to spend the weekend in San Diego. Will this weekend give Willow the chance to regroup and face the problems at home? Although this story has a lot of humorous interaction between the characters (especially Trey’s mother and father - lol), the author touches on the struggle Willow’s mother has in accepting the end of her marriage. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Cute contemporary romance. Willow is busting her ass at 2 jobs to help out her mother who was recently dumped by her father. And, oh yeah, Willow is also getting over her own heartbreak. Trey is the rich, geeky guy who stops by the coffee shop where Willow works hoping for a shot. Willow finally agrees to a weekend away with Trey (no strings attached).
The backstory of Trey having asked Willow out helped the believability of Willow agreeing to a weekend away with Trey. I liked that Trey pretty much had his shit together and was just trying to get to Willow. Willow had her own issues and the drama that ends up separating them and then uniting them wasn't OTT.
The couples from previous books make an appearance and help Willow and Trey's relationship along. The other couples are so cute (I'm looking at you Braxton and Cara). I'm definitely going to pick up the first 3 books in the series.
Thanks, to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Stacey Lynn has become a go to author for me when I want a fun, sexy and easy read! and this one did not disappoint for sure!
Trey is a successful businessman who has his eye on the beauty who works at his local coffee shop. Willow is a a woman with family problems that that having her working two jobs and still struggling to make ends meet. Will a much needed getaway turn into a fling that could become more?
Stacey Lynn writes full bodied characters that leap off the page and grab hold of your heart!
Thanks to the author, Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept and #Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of Weekend Fling in return for an honest review.
Great book. Fairytale romance. Touches on mental health issues in a realistic way but not too heavy. Liked it!
Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was an unremarkable romantic novel with awkward lines and an equally uninteresting plot. Willow works two jobs trying to help her heartbroken mom pay the bills. She works as a barista when she meets Trey who persistently asks her out until she gives in to a weekend in San Diego. The weekend turns out to fill her needs for a break and romantic entanglement. Overall I found the novel lacking. I just didn't feel the connection between them beyond the sexual.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
Overall I did enjoy this one.
The beginning and ending were my favorites. The middle seemed to drag on a bit for me. Which is odd since I usually love all of her books.
We’ve met both Willow and Trey in the previous books in this series. I liked them both already. Still like Trey. I just couldn’t like Willow enough. She kinda annoyed me if I’m being honest. I know she had the weight of the world in her shoulders, but she seemed insensitive or something towards Trey.
While this was an entertaining quick read for me, it was also surprisingly emotional. Willow was overwhelmed, exhausted & slightly depressed with the entire situation her life has become. A broken relationship, a severely depressed mother, a father who left, unpaid bills & working two jobs to try not to fall further. This was her reality. She didn’t have time for anything else.
Trey is a gorgeous, sexy multimillionaire who was entranced by Willow. He’d been asking her out for weeks but she kept saying no. Until she finally said yes. What followed was the best weekend of his life. Until she left...
I really enjoyed this story & the way it pulled me in. It seemed like it was going to be all fun and light hearted but it wasn’t. The emotionally charged scenes weren’t out of place & actually drew me further into the story. This story was not what I was expecting but so much more. I need to go back & read the rest of the series.
I found myself struggling to establish the connection I was hoping for while reading and decided to shelve at this time.
For pity's sake, I'm going to gush about this book! Holy nuts Stacey Lynn, you wrote this perfect man that is Trey Collins! Trey is the third of the trio that is Corbin and Caitlyn, all going to school together and still work together. Trey is a tech mogul and has the tendency to get really absorbed in his work.
He doesn't however miss a beat when he goes every day to the coffee shop in his building and tries his luck with Willow. Willow recently coming out of a bad relationship, now living at home with her mother who is definitely depressed after Willow's father walked out of their lives a year ago. Willow wrangles two jobs to try and make ends me, looks after her mother and does her best to blow Trey off.
She does one thing for herself and that's go to the gym, and she has one friend who she met at the gym. I really liked her character and advice she gives to Willow. After much ado, Willow finally agrees to go out with Trey. In fact she agrees to go away with him for a weekend. Willow is so overwhelmed by the wealth she's surrounded with. But she finds herself really liking Trey and man does Trey ever like her! What a blast it was to see this work absorbed man focusing his attention on her! Willow fits in well with Trey's friends, the wedding is in California on the beach, some much needed down time for her and she finds herself relaxing around Trey and giving herself permission to enjoy herself, that includes her enjoying Trey! When there's an emergency with her mother at home, she has to leave the wedding early and there's some heavy duty tension there between the two. Willow doesn't want to unload her family drama around Trey. Leaving him behind, with her mother in the hospital, but doing well considering, but now it's up to her mother to agree to go to another facility where she can receive the help she needs. It wasn't that Willow didn't try to encourage her mother to seek help, her mother would gently blow her off. Stacey deals with the topic of depression and mental health issues with genuine care, concern and honesty. I applaud her for that. It is also seamlessly woven into the story, which lends depth to the book. There's plenty of depth with Trey and Willow, and the crew as well. I'm going to leave you hanging with the rest of the story, there's so much more than I can possibly say, you just have to read it for yourself.
This book just shot me right into happy land, I loved Trey and Willow so much and also great to see the rest of the crew as well. This book is well over a five star read for me. Add this book to your TBR list!
