This is only the third book by Stacey Lynn that I’ve read, and it confirmed that I thought from the beginning: that she can WRITE. Not just tell stories or come up with a nice romantic plot, but she writes good prose, which unfortunately is not that common in the genre. In this case, not only does she weave an interesting tale of Willow and Trey’s weekend fling but also touches upon a sensitive subject with respect and compassion. I cannot wait to catch up on some of her older books, and I’m already looking forward to her next one.

I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have read all the previous books in this series (each can easily be read as a standalone) and have loved all of them. I randomly decided to give the first book a try and have now found another favorite author. The book is very well written and was a quick read.

This book follows Willow, who is recently single, caring for her depressed mother, working two jobs and all around just is not in the best place right now in her life. Enter Trey, a multi-millionaire tech mogul who wants a chance with Willow. Trey is absolutely adorable and I don't know how anyone cannot fall in love with him. Even though he is rich, he is super down to earth and caring. He finally convinces Willow to get away for a weekend and go to his best friend's wedding with him. Originally Willow turns him down flat but eventually just realizes she needs to get away for a weekend.

All things seem to fall into place nicely for both Willow and Trey on the weekend. They have a great time and are both thinking the relationship could be more. Then tragedy strikes and Willow's world goes into a tailspin. She already has issues because of how her dad left her mom and from her last relationship so she pushes Trey away. Not one to give up, Trey pushes right back until he gets what he wants.

I kept the review pretty high level as this book does touch on some pretty heavy issues (depression, suicide, etc.). I thought the author did a great job with that as that is definitely a hard subject to write and deal with. It was a great book and I was surprised by how quick of a read it was. I loved seeing all of the characters from the previous books even if it only was briefly. The only thing I did not like is that we did not get more of Trey's perspective throughout the book; it mainly dealt with Willow and her issues. It makes sense when you read the book but I just loved Trey so wanted more of him.

I have seen Stacey Lynn's books around, but never actually read them, so Weekend Fling was my first by her. It's part of her series, but you don't have to read the other ones, just the other couples show up in this book. I have to admit this book ended up being way more angsty than I thought it was going to be. If you read the author's note this make sense, but I still went into this book wanting a really light read, and I didn't get that.

I really liked the chemistry between the two characters, I understood Willow's trepidation, but she also frustrated me. I also had to suspend my belief a little bit, because going away for the weekend with a guy you barely know? Girl, that's how you get murdered!! It's okay, because it's a romance book, but still.

I wasn't really expecting the family drama in this one, and it made it a little too dramatic for me. I also didn't understand her dad's reasonings for just ghosting them. It's explained, but it also just felt too easy for me.

I did like that Trey was so patient with Willow and allowed her to come back to him. He was a good man, and I love reading romance books about good men.

I still enjoyed this one, but the darkness in it just wasn't what I was looking for in this book. Especially since I didn't get any indication of that from the PR copy.

Weekend Fling is Book 4 in the Crazy Love series and focuses on Willow, who is working many jobs trying to make ends meet and helping to take care of her mom who is not doing so well following her dad leaving them, and she was also recently dumped herself. Trey is a rich bigwig who frequents the coffee shop Willow works at and is enamored with her from the start, but she repeatedly turns down his offers to take her out. Willow decides she finally needs to have some fun and gives in to Trey's invitation to attend his best friend's wedding, which sets into a motion a wide array of emotions, scenarios and events that uphends Willow's life just a little bit more.

I really enjoyed both Willow and Trey as the main characters. I think Willow worked really hard to be strong and independent and cared very much for her mother. I liked that whle Trey was wealthy, he also seemed somewhat down to earth and that he he seemed genuinely interested in Willow, and when her life got really complicated, he showed up. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters who were main characters in the other books in the series. This really is a great group of frends.

While the title of the book, Weekend Fling, may imply fun and and flirty, this book and the author also delve into some very real and very serious issues related to mental health, and I think the author did a nice job of balancing the seriousness of those issues with the fun and romantic aspects of the book. I found this book to be very enjoyable and would definitely recommend it.

No one turns down Trey. Willow is the first. I'm glad that Trey didn't take no for an answer. He's pretty much selfless. He does so much for everyone else and ask nothing in return. He is dream worthy.

Wow, this is so much deeper than a weekend fling. Absolutely love Trey, he is very patient and compassionate with Willow. Willow is a tailspin, she got on my last nerve at times but I also felt sorry for her because she is so burdened down with her lack of control of her circumstances. She's a very realistic character though and her reactions are very thought-provoking. She has a great supportive friend & Trey has a great support circle as well. The plot really takes a surprisingly serious emotional turn that touches the heart, yet there are humorous times & steamy moments, through it all Trey is constant and determined that Willow is his one and only. Very well written, I got so caught up in this story that I read it straight through not realizing it was past midnight :) I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

We get Treeeeey!!! I had always loved Trey and was so happy that he was getting his own book, he needed his own, he deserved his own book. I hope you are keeping up with the series because the characters from the previous books make an appearance and I loved it!!. In this book Trey is interested in a waitress from the coffee shop that he goes to and he has been asking her out everyday for a while now but Willow has not had an easy time. First her boyfriend of 5 years dumps her (what a jerk) than her dad left her mother and her mother stopped caring about life so Willow was working two jobs trying to not let her mother lose the house, her car, my heart went out to her so I was happy she got to meet Trey (ahhh) and his wonderful friends who are really his family..Loved reading about Cara and Braxton and Caitlin and Jonas...Enjoy

When a millionaire offers a struggling barista a weekend away at a beach resort how can she possibly say no? Willow has neither the time nor the inclination to invest in a new relationship but sexy Trey keeps asking her out. When she finally agrees to travel to his friend's wedding as his date she only wants a weekend of fun and a break from her stressful life. However the more she gets to know Trey the more she wonders if they could be more.

Much like Willow I went into this book looking for something quick and distracting. What I found was both more and less than I had expected. There is a more serious aspect of this story as Willow navigates her mother's reaction to the recent departure of her father and his subsequent request for a divorce. I wish that Lynn had spent more time on this storyline and developed it more but I appreciated what she was trying to do in a little over 200 pages. That being said the page length made it hard to have a well developed romance along with a emotionally satisfying deeper subplot. I found the overall romance lacking. I did not really like Trey at all. There wasn't much to his personality other than smarminess. I did not find him charming. There wasn't all that much to Willow's character either and her interactions with Trey is not really make their connection apparent to me, other than the physical. It was hard to care whether or not they got their stuff together or see why they cared if they did either.

I love this series and all the characters that we have meant in each book. From the moment I meant Trey I loved everything about him and this is his book. I have to say that he is the sweetest and kindest man. He is also hot! He has had a crush on Willow ever since he first saw her. He is a very nervous person and it took him a while to get up the courage to ask her out. At first Willow says no because she has so much going on in her life and she just does not need the complications that would come with it. She is worried about her mom and leaving her alone. Her friend conveniences her to go with him for the weekend. What a weekend it was! Real life gets in the way of the weekend and Willow goes home to help her mom. I loved the chemistry between them. I love the story line and all the side characters in the book. Stacey Lynn did a great job with the real life issues that Willow has going on. I am really hoping that this book is not the last book in this series. Thanks to Net Gallery and the publisher. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet story between millionaire who falls in love with barista with lots of baggage.
Willow's long term relationship just ended and her father left her mother at the same time. Now she is drowning in debt and trying to take care of her mother who lost her way since her husband walked out on her. She didn't have time for herself.
When Trey, tech millionaire strolled in to cafe, he always looked for Willow and kept asking her out on a date even though she refused every time. This time, his best friend Kaitlyn is getting married in San Diego and he wanted to ask Willow to accompany him.
Willow needed a break from her mother and everything, she decided to accept the weekend with Trey since he is treating the whole trip.
Trey knew he wanted Willow and he is willing to wait as long as she is willing to give him a chance.
When Trey pulls all the stop to impress Willow, she is intrigue to learn more about him and falling for him but she is not sure if this will become more than just a fling. But she is willing to spend the weekend without worrying about her mother or money.
Trey and Willow is having great time and getting closer. Everything seems to work until a phone call from her friend Cara.
Will Willow push her Trey away or will they give each other a chance?
I did really like Trey and Willow and nice to read about all his friends from previous series.
It could be standalone.
Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for ARC in exchange for honest review.

3.5 stars.
This is the fourth book in this "Crazy Love" series and it was another fast and fun read for me even if...... a little emotional at times as well as the fact that it also dealt with some real life issues- i.e. mental illness. There was definitely some pretty good banter included and Trey's parents were way.... hilarious. I also really liked how supportive Trey was for Willow in her times of need even if she was still reluctant to give him any chance romantically. Such a sweet, good guy.

This book absolutely can be read as a standalone but I want to point out that there are several interconnected characters from the previous three books- so I do recommend checking them out also (see links to my other reviews).
I have now read this entire series and can honestly say that I enjoyed them all (books 1&2 are probably my favorites though).

Blurb:
Fresh out of a long-term relationship, Willow Parks is working two jobs and caring for her mother, whose husband left her with nothing but a pile of bills. That’s why Willow made a vow: no men until she figures out her own life.

But while she may not need a man, she could use a break. And a weekend away at a California beach to clear her head? That’s appealing. Even if the offer comes from Trey Collins, the irresistible tech-mogul millionaire who visits her coffee shop every morning like clockwork—and needs a date for his best friend’s wedding. With an adorable, occasional stutter, he refuses to take no for an answer.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. Trey has been asking Willow out for a date for months now and has been rebuffed. The fact that a guy persists in asking despite being told no, feels a bit stalkerish. Not that Trey is a stalker. And for both Willow’s and Trey’s sake, I’m glad Willow accepted his offer. Trey also has a stutter but it doesn’t really play into the story as I think he only stuttered twice. Unless it has some role in the story, it seems a superfluous characteristic to mention. His broad shouldered, muscled body and dark, dreamy eyes got more play than his stutter. This story does delve into the heavy topic of mental health and suicide but in an appropriate way so as to not drag down the story yet not brush off the seriousness of these issues. Mild steam. Heartfelt characters. I really enjoyed the banter between Trey and his friends. And his parents were a hoot!

Really enjoyed this story. Willow was having such a hard time but she didn’t falter under all the pressure she kept fighting through, Trey though was my favorite character he was such a dork at times but so caring and compassionate. The secondary characters were phenomenal, especially his parents, making this story a wonderful read.

This is a great addition to the Crazy in Love series. Willow is having a really tough time, she is holding down two jobs, just out of a bad long term relationship, and taking care of her depressed mother. Her part-time job is in a coffee shop where Trey frequents. From the first time the successful tech entrepreneur laid eyes on Willow, he was smitten. After months of asking her out, and being rejected, Willow finally says yes to a weekend as his date to his best friend’s wedding. Things are going great until Willow’s life crashes around her. Trey is the perfect guy, smart, kind, loyal, rich and handsome. Willow is a great person who is just hanging on by a thread, and needs a nice patient guy like Trey. Together, they are a really likable couple. I was given an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Loved this book! I’ve read the books with the same characters and loved each and every one. Stacey knows how to create a story that lures you in and keeps you turning the page even when you should go to bed!!! I love when one book can take you through a rainbow of emotions and this one definitely did !

Well she did it again! Another lovely tale. I really enjoy have persistent he was with her. And then he supported her when she felt like she had nothing and no one else and for that matter, pushed him away! Mental illness is a really big issue now days and the author wrote about with sensitivity that is hard to find. The friendships these people have are strong and important, too important to lose. And I love how much they support one another through all their endeavors .

I received this for an honest review from NetGalley.

Willow is a freelance editor who is working a second job in a coffee shop in order to help support her mother who she believes is suffering from depression. Will moved in with her mother, who recently separated from Willow’s father, after her boyfriend of five years broke up with her out of the blue. Willow feels like she is struggling to find herself again, while also trying to help her mother overcome a crippling depression.

Trey is a millionaire who visits the coffee shop in the building which houses his penthouse condo on a daily basis. He was instantly attracted to Willow from the first time he saw her. He has been asking her out for months however, much to his surprise, she has declined each time. Despite, this he feels a connection and keeps trying. He finally tempts her to say yes with the promise of a long weekend at the beach. They become close quickly, but the weekend ends early when she is notified of her mother’s suicide attempt.

Can a woman with major trust and desertion issues overcome those issues and find happiness with a man who is perfect for her?
