I enjoyed this light and romantic Christmas romance. It was exactly what I was looking for. I enjoyed all the characters but especially the hero.

Billionaire Jack Mancini has pulled himself up out of the worst circumstances to become a self-made CEO. The one thing Jack can't face is Christmas. Carols, Christmas trees and cheer only remind him of his dark past. But when he's asked to stay in London for Christmas by the only person who understands his pain, Jack's fierce loyalty demands that he agree. Ever since tragedy struck, Grace Robertson has done everything she can to give her younger brother the life he deserves, ignoring her own passions to focus on her housecleaning business. The two things Grace lets herself indulge in? Fantasising about her handsome employer Jack and playing his beautiful grand piano when she's finished cleaning his house. When Grace is caught playing the piano, the last thing she expects is for the man of her fantasies to offer her everything she's ever wanted. But even as the line between fiction and reality blurs, it seems that the darkness that haunts Jack is inescapable. If only Jack would let in just a little bit of Christmas magic...
So, billionaire books are kind of hit and miss for me so I’m kind of picky with the ones I request. Luckily this was a good pick. I did like both characters. It was a pretty good story that was quick to read. I recommend.

Gotta be honest. I lost interest in this novel and found it difficult to get through. This is absolutely due to my own personal opinions and my own tastes, but I just didn't connect with either of the characters. It started getting very melodramatic at points, which I know a lot of people enjoy and love, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I was really excited to have the ARC of this novel - a Christmas, festive romance set in London. Hello? that sounds amazing! But, it just missed the mark for me personally and I lost interest. At this time there are so many Christmas romances out there and there are so many that I'm reviewing at the moment that, when I began reading it and it couldn't keep my attention and my care, I just had to let it go and come back to it. A few times.
The writing at points I found a bit hard to get along with. Personally, I found it to be a bit stilted at points and I found it difficult to connect with the characters and to relate to them. The lead female at one point says "Oh dear! Did such thinking make her horribly amoral?" and I just wasn't sure if that was something that I loved in writing. Again - personal preference and writing tastes change.
Overall - there are people out there that really enjoyed this book. I have to say that I just was not one of them. If you're looking for something dramatic, set at Christmas time, then this is the book for you.
Note: I was very kindly sent an ARC of this novel by the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Jack is rich, and a commitment phobic bachelor. Grace cleans his apartment, and is caught playing his piano when he gets home early one day. Sparks fly, and both have strong issues to get through, until they get to their HEA. Overall, a good sweet Christmas story, and one I highly recommend.

What a fabulous Christmas story filled with such love and joy as two wounded people find their way to happiness, not an easy task with what Jack and Grace had been through, I thoroughly enjoyed this story that left me feeling very happy.

Jack Mancini is a billionaire CEO, self- made he is known for his one night stands, after a terrible childhood he is not overly keen on making friends as he is worried he will let them down and Christmas time brings back some very bad memories for him, an accidental meeting in a street sends him home early one day and such beautiful music meets him as he enters his home and the woman at the piano sends his heart flying.

Grace Robertson has struggled with a few things in her life and tragedy being one of them she now runs a cleaning business and makes ends meet but music and playing the piano has always been special to her and even though she knows that using her employers piano should not be happening she is drawn to it and when Jack Mancini comes home and finds her playing, she is drawn to this man.

When Jack asks Grace to be his fake girlfriend he is determined that she will not fall in love with him he will only end up hurting her, but the sensual pull is too hard to ignore and Grace is so strong and loving, beautiful on the inside as well as the outside can she get through to Jack and make him realize that he is worth loving he can be hard to convince. A beautifully written story with just the right amount of magic in it, thank you MS Montgomery this is one that I highly recommend.

This is a Netgalley ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Alyssa J. Montgomery crafts a charming romance centered around the Christmas season. Both main characters have trauma that is associated with the holidays. They must overcome their own demons in order to find happiness.

The description of the concert in Chapter 13 is one of the most real scenes I have ever read. This really resonated with me as a music lover. When I'm at a concert I am overtaken by the music and emotions. It is one of the best scenes I have ever had the pleasure to read.

How I love a billionaire with commitment issues! Alyssa J Montgomery has given us a great read with this book it's so much more than just a Billionaire Christmas. I read this book in one sitting today while I was home, sick today, it helpt to keep my mind off my illness. It grabbed my attention and keep me interesting right to the very last word. The author has a great way to keep you interested, her speed and flow of this story was just right as it is full of great characters with many issues to unfold. It was full of secrets, mistakes, chemistry, grief, joy, self-discovery, lust but most of all Love.

Billionaire Jack Mancini always leave the country for the whole month of December but this year his father has cancelled on him. Christmas is a very traumatic time for Jack for many reasons, most of them he has never shared with anyone even his beloved and admired adopted father. Jack is happy with his life he has made himself from nothing as a child but he is not close to anyone other than his father.

Grace Robertson is happy with her life a business owner of a cleaning company that she inherited from her grandmother many years ago. She as a client that is a billionaire and owns a piano that she loves to play after she is finished with the cleaning of his apartment. One day she is caught playing the piano by the owner and very sexy Mr Mancini. She thought she would be fired on the spot and she really needed this job keep helped her put her younger brother through Oxford.

When Jack walks into his house to find someone playing his piano the first thing she thought was God she is stunning. Then the music did something to him, he soon learned she was is house cleaner and not trained at all to play the piano. A friendship between the two soon took off as they both help each other in many ways.

Could a little Christmas magic work on two people from very different worlds?

Will the chemistry between them pull them together or will friendship stay the course?

The Magic of Christmas will not be on my ‘all-time favorite’ book list but oddly enough, I couldn’t help fall in love with each of the main characters, Grace and Jack.

Jack is a very wealthy man who has a true aversion to Christmas. His adoptive father has decided to stay home for Christmas this year, something that he and Jack haven’t done for ages. They always leave the country for the holidays. The story reveals why Jack just be part of the holiday season.

Grace owns a cleaning service and has been cleaning Jack’s house for years. Although they’ve never met, one day he pops in early to hear her playing his piano. Completely impressed with her abilities, Jack immediately arranges for her to play for an upcoming event for his father and at his business.

While Jack is making plans for Grace to go on tour, all Grace wants is to continue to do what she’s always done. Grace has feelings for Jack; Jack has feelings for Grace; Jack thinks he is bad for her and Grace thinks he is crazy.

The reason for 3 stars for this book is the portrayal of Grace as this weak woman constantly nagging and nagging Jack, telling him he is wrong about not loving her. That theme went on throughout most of the story. I wish she could have been stronger and more independent, not relying so much on needing his love. I was glad to see she still fulfilled one of her dreams (I won’t spoil it) whether or not he was involved.

Pleasant festive romance

Jack , a Billionaire has everything, loving father , all the women he could want , money at his fingertips, but his life has been tough .
Christmas is a bad time for him , bad things happen at Christmas, and Jack is not a fan of the festive season.
When he returns home early and meets Grace his stunning cleaning lady for the first time he starts to acknowledge his feelings ,he finds in her not just a friend but the love of his life, but only if he’s brave enough to put the past behind him.

Good story , but I felt it lacked the passion when needed.
Despite their being high emotion in the story , the feelings didn’t always come across to the reader.
In all I did enjoy the book and it’s definitely worth the read.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

I'm giving this one 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4.
I have to admit that I've read another book by this author that I couldn't really get on with if I'd realised that before I started, it may have stopped me reading The Magic of Christmas. Fortunately, I didn't know, as I would have missed out on a good read if I had passed this one by.
The book tells the story of Jack and Grace. Both have experienced terrible things in their childhood, but both have been able to move beyond that, at least to an extent. For Jack, this has taken the form of being very successful, while not perhaps being as successful at moving with things emotionally. Grace is much more grounded from an emotional point of view but hasn't been as successful.
Although this is one of your Billionaire thinks he can't love but falls in love with someone less well off than he is (in this case, his cleaner). There is more going on here. Grace has battled with learning difficulties and struggled to read at school. She is an amazing musician and it is this that Jack encourages her to develop. There is action, excitement and of course, a healthy dose of romance in this Christmas story. There's even a little appearance from a character that may or may not be one of Santa's little helpers. It's a good festive read that will start to get you in the mood for the coming Christmas season.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the first book I've read by this author. I was quickly drawn in by the story and characters, although after about 2/3 of the way in, it started to feel a little overdone with ridiculously dramatic events and a bit unbelievable, but I persisted and overall it was an enjoyable read. I will definitely read more from this author.
I received a free digital copy of the book via NetGalley but the opinions expressed are my own.

The Magic of Christmas is my first read by Alyssa Montgomery, and what a wonderful example of the festive season and the intense emotions it evokes in each and every human being.

Grace and Jack have each experienced the worst that life has to offer, but through their individual struggles they have managed to maintain a strength that can often be misinterpreted as distant and unapproachable. When this unlikely couple finally cross paths, the magic of Christmas and a beautiful grand piano, may be exactly what is needed to bring light to their lives and happiness into their hearts.

This is a delightful story that is everything a romance reader could want with the added bonus of a festive theme. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Wow, both Jack and Grace have been through a lot. I love the way that Grace is patient with Jack but still gets him to open up with her about his past. She might have learning disabilities but she is smart where it counts. I like this book very much.

Grace and Jack, their early lives were traumatic and now as adults they meet for the first time. Will they be able let their pasts go or will they let it define their future happiness. A billionaire and a cleaner, will they find trust and love with each other? A lovely romantic Christmas read.

The Magic of Christmas, by Alyssa Montgomery was everything you could ask for in a romance novel.

Jack Mancini is a self made billionaire. He went from having nothing, to making a big name for himself. The one thing Jack can't handle is Christmas, anything Christmas related, Christmas Carols, Christmas trees or even Santa. He avoids Christmas at all cost, he always leaves London with his Dad.

Grace Robertson is a hard working woman who is trying to help put her brother though school. She took over her grandmothers cleaning business, and she seems to be doing okay.

Grace is cleaning Jack's house and after she is finished she makes time to play his grand piano. She always finished before he is home from work. They never cross paths...that is until on day he came home early from work.

The story takes us on such a powerful journey. I literately couldn't put this book down. Extremely well written, I felt like I was right there in the book with them. Love it!
