As always Tiffany Reisz did not disappoint. I loved every one of these short stories and eagerly await more of The Original Sinners.
Tiffany Reisz is absolutely one of my favorite authors ever! I know when I pick up one of her books; I’ll be pulled in from the very first page and will not want to stop reading until I’m finished. Winter Tales was everything I wanted and more. While I love her stand alone books, I first found her because of her Original Sinners series, and they remain my favorites always.
December Wine
I loved getting to see Nora meet Nico for the first time. I also adored her time with Zach. I laugh so much when Nora and Zach are together. I’m not really sure why, but I just love when the two of them are together. I think part of it is the banter and the fact they each, even while together, absolutely love their significant other. They can talk about pretty much everything because they are friends.
I felt the connection between Nico and Nora immediately. For a child not raised by Kingsley, Nico had so much of King in him. I loved that Nora listened to him as he dealt with his feelings and didn’t force his choices. It really helped me to understand how and why Nora needed Nico in her life. Seriously this story had me wanting more from the very first page.
The other four stories in the anthology had each been previously released in ebook and it was much fun to revisit each story. Again these stories are like book crack to me and I loved every minute of these stories.
I anxiously await each new release from Tiffany Reisz and know I’m in for the ride of my life each time. The Original Sinners books are my favorites and I loved getting to spend time with so many of my favorite characters. I highly recommend the entire series of books!
Rating: 5 stars (A)
Return to USA TODAY bestseller Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series with WINTER TALES, a collection of three fan-favorite Christmas novellas plus a brand-new novella exclusive to this anthology.
I tried to get into this set of novellas, but it felt catered to those familiar with her books, which I am not. DNF
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this boo
As usual, Tiffany Reisz continues to do a phenomenal job writing for this series. I love Søren, Nora, Kingsley, and all of the other characters. You can tell that Reisz plans out every last detail of these books, and it really pays off.
It was fun to read shorter stories about these characters! December Wine was probably my personal favorite of the novellas we get in this bind up, mainly because I just loooooove Nico.
I can’t wait for the next full length novel in this series!!
Your winter just a little better!
If you want to pull an all nighter, read Winter Tales.
Each of Reisz’s books should bear a warning: Detrimental to sleep. You may read all night. Filled with Nora’s signature sass, it’s an irresistible read with lots of hot, steamy, naughty sex.
Tiffany Reisz ignites another red-hot story just as we expect. We are reunited with all of Nora’s favorite men: Zach, Soren and Kingsley.
The only reason I didn't give this 4 stars was bcs I didn't enjoy the first story as much. I just didn't want to read about Nora having sex with anyone other than Soren or King. The other stories were so good. I love reading about Nora, Soren, and King. This is one of my favorite series and I can't wait for the next release.
I absolutely adore this author’s Original Sinners books!!! They are an all time favorite series of mine. These little novellas are the perfect additions to the series. Soren, King and Nora are such unique and mesmerizing characters and any novellas or stories are a must read for me. There are 5 total short stores with 3 previously published and 2 that are new. Wonderful rereads and delightful and perfect new ones. I would recommend to readers who have read the Original Sinners books prior to reading Winter Tales.
Charm, tension and just enough banter to make these bite sized novellas utterly enjoyable. May pay to have read all related literature at the same time in order to appreciate the nuances and "in-jokes' of some of the scenes.
This is definitely for fans of Reisz's Original Sinners series, of which there are many, but I don't see myself recommending during your typical Readers' Advisory conversation ;-) That said, as a fan of the series, I enjoyed it. I am not the biggest fan of short stories myself but I did enjoy visiting some of my favorite characters from the series.
I read this novel in about two days right after I downloaded it in December, while taking a break from Wonderland at a friend’s house in the woods. While I loved The Red and The Rose by Tiffany Reisz, the only exposure that I had to her Original Sinners world was the short novella, A Midwinter’s Night Dream. Although that was a Victorian retelling of the relationship between the three main characters of the series - Nora, Soren, Kingsley - it was enough to give me the gist of the personality of each character and of the complex relationships between them. While it wasn’t compelling enough to launch me into reading the eight (or more) books of the Original Sinners series, it was enough to make me really want to read the 2019 Christmas collection, Winter Tales.
Winter Tales was a collection of three previously published Christmas themed novellas, one brand new novella, and one short story which I couldn’t quite tell whether it was exclusive to the collection or previously published. Frankly, it didn’t bother me that so much of the content was previously published because I was seeing it for the first time. The material was arranged with a very good flow between them. For example, the story where the poinsettia appeared in Soren’s house was arranged before the stories about how Soren got his nickname “Bambi” and about why its note said it was taken from a church altar.
The stories themselves were internally coherent. The characters were all at the same level of development in each story, which made each of them credible and realistic. And the storyline of each moved quickly through its paces, each reaching a proper climax and resolution rather than just petering out with unresolved issues. Of course, these are not your typical cozy romance Christmas stories. Just like everything I’ve read by Tiffany Reisz, there was plenty of super hot intimacy of all varieties right there on the page. But it was never gratuitous; it always made sense with the plot and the character development.
Although I still don’t know if I want to fully invest in the Original Sinners world, I am definitely up for dabbling in it the next time the author releases a Christmas collection. Those move quickly enough that I can fit them in between other reading commitments. However, if the author drops another novel in The Red series, I might just stop and drop everything to read it.
I received this book as a digital advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
A special set of stories from the Original Sinners series. Nora and Zach are on a mission to find Nico's son. They have grown comfortable with each other and their quirks. You get the back story and answers to some questions with this tale. All in all great stories.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
This copy was the first Tiffany Reisz' read for me. The Winter Tales anthology is a collection of short stories all taking up the Christmas spirit.
One of them is December Wine. With the aid of her editor, Zack, Nora travels overseas to investigate whether the information about Kingsley’s past is correct. Nora and Zach find themselves on the way to Soret in France to meet Nicholas and share the news.
I'm still in two minds about this book, but I'm looking forward to reading another book of hers.
Tiffany reisz is a goddess. That's the only way to explain how amazing this book was. I loved the orginal sinner and this book just brought it all back home for me.
I am always SO happy when Tiffany Reisz writes anything related to my favorite erotica series ever, The Original Sinners. This is one of the few series that I can never get tired of. I adore everything about Nora, Søren, Kingsley, and the rest of this brilliant cast of characters. Any time I pick up a book or story with them, it's like coming back to old (kinky) friends. And whether it's a full length book or a holiday themed novella, I'll take anything and everything from TR. This time, with Winter Tales, we get four novellas plus a bonus short story that all work perfectly with the winter holiday.
December Wine, the new novella in this collection, is probably my favorite of the five, mainly because I just love Nico so, so much. I wish we got more of him and Nora! We finally get to see how these two met for the very first time in France, and we can tell how besotted they become despite being complete strangers. I just want a full length book for them PLEASE! I need to know everything that happened between them meeting to how Nora became his Dom.
We also get novellas featuring Søren and his time with Magdalena in Italy, Søren and Kingsley sharing a cabin in the woods in the winter, and of course one with the dirty trio all together. The bonus short story takes place after the final Original Sinners book, which turns out not to be the final one anymore! God bless, but we are getting more of the OS world, and this short story is a little bridge to the upcoming book, The Priest.
Tiffany Reisz amazes me every time I open up one of her books. Her writing is stunning, the way she's able to write love, kink, and humor so flawlessly. I cannot get enough of her words and I'm so glad we aren't done with the Original Sinners series just yet!
A very well written tale indeed. It's always nice getting insights into the characters of The Sinners, and this was no exception. Nora and Nico interaction and what happened there, as well as other interesting stories in this book. Enjoyed very much.
I love that these Original sinner Christmas stories that were previously for her newsletter subscribers have now been complied together including the new one and bonus.
Tiffany Reisz never ceases to amaze me with her original sinners series.
If you are not familiar with the protagonists and their backstory (like me) it is not so easy to understand what is really going on here, and why. I also didn't know that the protagonists are either priests or whores, and it's a SM setting.
Maybe these stories are nice for fans of the series, but I quickly lost interest.
I love Tiffany's Original Sinners books and these little novelettes were the perfect accompaniment. Soren, King and Nora are wonderful characters.
Sexy, angsty, and the perfect follow up for someone who's just finished the Original Sinners. Tiffany is a writer in a league of her own!
