Very gratefully received ARC from the publisher, this little winter-themed anthology of Original Sinners short-stories arrives just in time for the approaching winter. In addition to the new short story "Blood and Snow", we also get three formerly published snipped. It was nice to re-visit old familiars, especially The Scent of Winter, one of my all time favourites. In addition to the short stories, the anthology also features a heart-wrenching novella about a special visit to a French vineyard and England - tissues to be kept close.

The collected stories are not in chronological order which was a bit weird, but if you've read all the OS books, you can quickly place them. And indeed, only those should read this anthology who have read all the other major books in the OS series, as these short stories contain MASSIVE spoilers otherwise! You've been warned.
While the "Michael's Wings" anthology all centered around Michael (woopwoop!), this anthology doesn't have a single person as a focus - we get to see almost all the old favourites. Rather, winter is the overarching theme connecting the stories, and with winter so close, I want more Soren! Thankfully, Tiffany delivers. The new short story, "Blood and Snow", takes us all the way to Italy to finally see Soren just after the Big News, as he's trying to figure out what's next - and I simply CANNOT wait for "The Priest" coming out in 2020! I want to know more. Right now.

For those who are looking to revisit some old favourite characters or scenes in the OS series, I highly recomment cozying up with this little collection. But be warned, you may find yourself picking up the entire series again to cope with the wait until the next book arrives.

Winter Tales is an anthology about our most beloved unholy trinity.

December Wine
After visiting Fionn in London, Zach accompanies Nora to France to tell Nico about his biological father. All the emotions involved in Nico telling about his father, has Nora & Zach realise that they will have to the exact same thing with Fionn somewhere down the future.
Beautiful story, lots of feels!

The Christmas Truce
“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee…”
Short story that is set around Christmas where the three are fighting a cold war but not preventing Kingsley & Nora from immensely missing Søren.
Reminiscing about their lover, they decide to head to church for Christmas Eve midnight mass and surprise Søren in his home. When he arrives things lead to a heated direction worthy of the unholy trinity.
“You’ve never required an engraved invitation to come to bed with us before.”
“C’est vrai. Mais…it is Christmas. You want me at your threesome? Ask nicely. Gift-wrap it a little for me. Decorate it.”
Søren plucked an ornament off the tree and hung it on Kingsley’s shirt collar, pressing the silver hook into his skin.
“Son of a bitch!” Kingsley said, pulling the ornament—a tiny snowflake with a nasty hook—off his shirt. He touched his collarbone and a smear of blood remained on his fingers. “Why did you do that?”
The three spend the most satisfying truce he fucking loved it, Søren controlling his every move, his every breath, his cock, his orgasms, his come.
I love reading about the three of them being together. This story had some intense emotional moments between them. And being an Original Sinners story means it's also smoking hot with the three of them in Soren's bed!

Poinsettia
Poinsettia is a beautiful story about Søren, age 20, especially since you learn more about Søren 's feelings toward Kingsley.

The Scent of Winter
“I thought we could use a few days away together before Christmas.”
“So you had me kidnapped?”
“I did nothing of the sort, I had you shipped to me.”

Blood & Snow
Søren is worried and pays Magdalena a visit. He needs her to reassure him and take away his worries.

I always look forward to snippets from this world. The stories included in this compilation are fantastic. The first, December Wine, is probably my favorite. In this short story, we learn about the time Nora and Zach travel to France to meet Nico. Nora and Zach are given a 'pass' by Grace and they fall into an easy rhythm during their journey. Zach provides support and advice as Nora struggles with her mission and tries to determine where her loyalties actually lie in regards to Nico. There is a passage where Nora tells Nico "If you only knew...". The rest of her statement absolutely took my breath away!

Poinsettia - This story was posted at one point on Tiffany Reisz's website (I think), but I was so happy to find it here. It is one of my favorite Christmas stories...of all time. It is such a perfect example of a holiday tale of forgiveness and hope and love even if it is a little unexpected. Father Ballad plays such a large role in Soren's life that it felt like a real treat to learn more about him. He completely stole my heart.

Revisiting the characters of the Original Sinners is always a fun time so I was glad to see this anthology coming out. There are five stories here, four of which have been published individually before as e-books. All of them take place, of course in the winter months, and mostly feature Christmas time.

The first story, ‘December Wine’ is the brand-new story of the bunch. It features Nora and her editor, Zach as they go to meet Kingsley’s son Nico for the first time, determined to verify if he is, in fact, Kingsley’s son. I always enjoy a Nora/Zach story ever since the first novel (‘The Siren’) that kicked all this off in the first place. Their performance here certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Next is ‘A Christmas Truce’, probably the best short story ever written in The Original Sinners universe. It’s hard to go wrong when Nora, Soren, and Kingsley all get together, even if it does take place during the ‘estrangement” period.

Following that is ‘Poinsettia’, a nice flashback story featuring a young 20-year-old Soren (Marcus) as a seminary student meeting Magdalena, the madam he has gone to for help. Magda is an intriguing character and her influence on young Soren is unforgettable.

In ‘The Scent of Winter’ we have Kingsley and Soren exploring their complicated and complex relationship and finally, in ‘Blood and Snow’ we get to see Soren once again with Magda thirty years later.

Taken as a whole, these stories provide a nice variety of erotic action and character interaction. Tiffany Reisz is an original and her stories rise far above the typical erotica author. This is because her characters are so real and so compelling that we readers always want more.

I knew some of the characters in these stories featured in other books by the author, but thought I might be able to enjoy these short stories despite not having read those. Sometimes you can do that with stand alone short stories, sometimes you need more knowledge of the characters and setting to enjoy them. In this case, I'd say I was missing quite a lot of the significance of what was going on! Despite this, I found the (kinky) stories a well written read.

LOVED the two new short stories! Tiffany’s annual holiday stories are such a highlight in my year. Her work is witty, funny and always so steamy. Thank you for more material, it’s absolutely delicious!

Smart writing, quick pace. The characters were interestingly written and the cover was cute although not quite matching the storyline inside.

This book couldn't have started in a better way. A short story with Nora and Zach!

It has been quite a journey following Tiffany Reisz and all the different characters from her Original Sinners Series.

I love that this anthology let us get a breef meeting with several of the characters we hard core Original Sinners fans love.
And I also love that we are taken back in time, that we learn something new.

Like with every Tiffany Reisz book, this ended with me wanting more.

I didn't realise that the characters are based on a very successful series from a while back. The writing was very engaging and there was a lot of history between the charcters, of which I have no clue on.

I have stopped reading this as I am keen to go back to the start by reading the siren then continue reading this book.

Thank you to NetGalley & publisher for the advanced ready copy one exchange for an honest review.

They break each other apart, only to put themselves back together, stronger than before.
Kingsley, Soren and Nora have a bond so unique and special that no matter what life throws at them they will always find a way to bounce back into each others arms. Never before did I believe that I could fall so passionately in love with such characters... yet here I am worshiping the ground they walk on with every new book or short story Tiffany Reisz comes up with. It seems I can never get enough of them... "Winter Tales"takes us back and forth into time, warming our hearts in a sadistic/masochistic/kinky kind of way, as always... it's Tiffany Reisz's M.O. after all! 5 Painfully Heart-Warming Stars for a bit more of our favorite Original Sinners.

I absolutely loved these stories. December wine (the first story in this anthology) is my favorite and will stay with me for a long time. And the final story—Blood & Wine—made me gasp out loud (in a good way!). As with all of Tiffany's Christmas compilations, you'll want to be familiar with the Original Sinners crew. While people who have no knowledge of them would appreciate the plot and characters, they'd lack the insight and depth they could have. Honestly, this time of year is my favorite in part because I know Tiffany will let us into the lives of three of the most original and outstanding characters I've ever read. This added depth is the best kind of Christmas treat!

I don't know what it is about the Original Sinners that always, always gets to me. Well, I do know, of course, Reisz is such an amazing writer that starting one of her books feels like catching up with really good friends. Friends I might be a tad afraid of, but still friends.

The stories in Winter Tales are little, private glimpses into the lives of Nora, Søren and King, and those glimpses are everything!

If you're a fan of the Original Sinners, this is a must read, that's for sure. And it also explains some things that were left secret in the full novels.

The writing is, as always, beautiful and haunting. The characters are just as compelling as they were when I first started reading The Siren. And I am a very happy reader.

Could not even follow this book and jumped around a lot. I understood going in it was part of a series, however good stories should work independently of each other and move the series along.

December wine

You know those authors that when you read thier words you just smile

No....well let me introduce you to Tiffany Reisz.

December Wine was like coming home and what a homecoming. I love hearing about the past again while they went on the hunt for Nicholas. Zach and Nora are fabulous together. It's so crazy but every man Tiffany writes for Nora just fits. Every man you can see her with. But the banter and jokes between these two I love it.

This is story of friendship, loyalty, human nature but above all a story of love.

These characters break my heart, they make me cry, they make laugh but above all they make me feel.

Nico and Nora instant connection. You feel it between them. It was destined to be. Nora had to find Nico. She really was meant to give Kingsley a son.

I know it's a prequel and I know we know how it goes with Nora and Nico, but I was sad when December Wine ended. I want more of thier story. More of thier letters.

Christmas Truce

This one is a favourite of mine. There is so much love in this story between Nora, King and Sóren. So much live as well as a beautiful Christmas sentiment.

Poinsetta

Bambi, Madga, and Father Ballard what a great story. Loved it
🎅 🦌🐈🎄

The Scent of Winter
Now this one is a favourite of mine. I mean how could it not. The only review it needs is Sòren and Kingsley. That says it all.

Blood and Wine

What a perfect short story to end this book. Everything comes full circle.

I look forward always to more Tiffany and these amazing characters I like to call my friends.

Perfection!!!

If I could step into one book, let it be one of Tiffany Reisz. I can't emphasize how much I love her books, her characters, writing, dialogues, humor... everything. The only downside is, there are not enough of them :) They make me giggle, laugh, gasp, cry, horny and more...
Winter Tales is a series of Original Sinners novellas, all happening in winter - which is quite fitting for Soren.

There is one brand new novella, starring Nora, Zach and the first glimpse of Nico. This was one magnificent treat. There are rare moments for Nora to let herself be vulnerable and unsure, but those are precious and I cherish them. Zach and Nora have their last wild moments together and they are hot and emotional. The whole package is closed with Nora holding Fionn. It is amazing how easily I can connect with the characters, their persona, and experience.

The other novellas are also perfect for rereading, starring Soren through different stages. His complete openness is scarce and I appreciated every moment of it. His honesty, devotion, pain, loneliness, fear, love, longing...everything is out in those selected novellas. He is a sadist and sometimes a mystery despite knowing his past, but knowing his heart is a blessing. It always amazes me how the characters grow, change and develop through the books.

Reading this book was a wonderful experience and I hope Ms. Reisz will gift us all with another book in the future. I would like to read more about the Sinners, now that all is out in the open. So thank you Ms. can I please have another? :)

Winter Tales is a collection of short stories about my fave kinksters all set in (you guessed it) the winter months!

First up we have a new story about Nico, Nora and Zach (December Wine), all about Nora’s first meeting with Nico! We all know the basics of how it happened but to see it all play out was perfect and it really made me want to read Mischief (Nico and Nora’s short set in Salem at Halloween). Every time I know a story is coming up with Nico I always think “meh” because let’s face it, he’s no Søren, and I am 100% dedicated to my priest! And yet Tiffany Reisz makes me fall in love with the young Frenchman every time!!! I have such a fickle heart. Anyway, it was brilliant, and add in Søren and Kingsley at the end? Perfection!!

Then we have A Christmas Truce, which is one of my favourite Original Sinner shorts! After years apart, the Unholy Trinity (Søren, Nora and Kingsley) call a Christmas truce and spend a very wonderful, very sexy night together. What could be better? I love this story every time I read it!

Next up is Poinsettia, a story about Magdalena (Remember the madam who Søren went to for help as a young Jesuit in training?) and Søren aged 20. I absolutely loved this story, Magda was hilarious! In true Dominatrix style she talks down to Søren, treating him like a child, and there’s a part where she makes him stand against a doorframe...well I won’t go anymore into it but I laughed so very hard!! This short had me highlighting so many random little comments that just helped to absolutely make the story! Combined with the happy/emotional/wonderful ending...it was truly perfect!

Now...The Scent Of Winter. Another fantastic short, this one all about the King and the priest. You know that emoji with the love hearts in the eyes? That’s me. Kingsley and Søren find their own special piece of heaven in a cold little cottage, much like they did all those years ago in school. I’m sure you can imagine where the story goes from here. I love them both so much!

And finally, Blood And Snow. Oh I was so excited for Søren to be back visiting with Magda, 30 years later! She’s still giving him a hard time and making him work for everything she gives! She’s such a great character and livens up every page she graces. Her parting shot to Søren had me cackling knowing what was in store for his life from that moment on.

The Original Sinners truly are my happy place, and no winter is complete without a new story to snuggle under a blanket with. I could happily read about them forever.

This Anthology brings us right back into the Original Sinners world.
And if you haven't yet read this series - please do it right the eff now - start with book 1 The Siren and keep going ... it's so worth it!

We already know some of the stories - but this first one is brand new!

We follow Nora and editor hottie Zach to France. Nora wants to find King's son!
We all know how that story ends - but we never knew how they found him, how they first meet!
And also - Zach and Nora might spend some sexy times together...☺

Then we get to hear a few other little scenes from our favorite people. Like this one about a Christmas a few years before the first book. Our three darlings are not really on speaking/loving terms, but that year we might get a very sexy threesome holiday. ☺

I just adore this series. I could read a new story/novella/novel/3000-pager every month for the rest of forever!
Which is kind of weird. I hate religion and I'm not into BDSM. But these people are some of the best book characters ever written. I love them. I love their lives and their stories and adventures.

This was a beautiful holiday anthology! Something really pretty to sit on your Original Sinner shelf.

Tiffany Reisz is one the rare authors that can pull off short stories and novellas with the same brilliance that she writes her full length novels. With her characteristic wittiness, on point humor, smart and utterly original references, her books are just fun to read. These short stories about beloved characters will be a treat for any fan. I loved the Winter theme, from Soren and Kingsley on the ice to a Christmas truce referencing the WWI Christmas Truce, I loved it all!

Reading an Original Sinners book makes me as giddy as a kipper. I do those wicked little giggles. Those throaty dirty laughs. Full on belly wobble chuckles. And I don’t move unless I need a wee. Then I move and move quickly usually with my kindle in hand so I don’t miss a beat.

If Søren was a season he would be winter. Cold, hard, ice, sharp, unforgiving, unyielding, cruel. And yet TR reveals little by little that within the ice beats a heart so pure and full of love that I forget to be scared of him anymore.

Winter Tales is a joyful anthology of 5 Sinners tales:

December Wine tells of Nora and Zach’s expedition to France to find the illegitimate son of Kingsley. Zach and Nora have the green light to misbehave and misbehave they do. It is a story as delicious as the wine made by Nico.

The Christmas Truce, when the snow began to melt and the giving and receiving of Christmas gifts is heart warming. I want to put my lovely threesome in a snow globe and keep them always. I reviewed this one when I first read it. Second read was still worthy of 5 stars.

Poinsettia is the young Søren in Rome enjoying the gifts of Christmas with his favourite Domme instructress Magdalena. Their gifts for each other brought tears of joy to my eyes. Full review posted separately (always thinking of my goodreads target).

The Scent Of Winter, oh the winter and that smell of snow, smoke and pine cones that is so Søren. This beautiful tale is THE one that made me realise how human Søren is. That his heart beats with love, with fear, with jealousy, with pain and longing. My heart melted just like his did. I already reviewed this one separately but updated it.

And finally Blood and Wine where Søren aka Bambi visits Magdalena again. It’s timing is just after the birth of Fionn and Søren is looking for reassurance and comfort from his former teacher. And why not flog a young European royal just for funsies?

My adoration of all things Sinners continues. Five very worthy stars for five very fine short stories.

The book features a brand new novella in the Original Sinners world and a collection of previously released stories. Reading them isn’t a punishment because I love to revisit this amazing world again and again.

If you are familiar with the world then you know that Nora found Nico, but what exactly happened between them we never knew, until now.

It is bittersweet book, because you know that this is a turning point for certain characters and relationships. It is sad, but also funny, very sexy and emotional and the writing is almost poetic.

Tiffany Reisz makes those first moments between Nora and Nico count and with a few lines everything chances forever. and I was so happy to get more Zach and Nora. I missed them together.
