A young boy; Danny, is snatched on his way home. The story is told from the boys view, his parents view and the police view. It is a fast paced, gripping read and I can only imagine the horror for any parent to go through this ordeal. The writing is good, the plot is good and the story is really well told. The additional storylines alleviate the novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

this book is interesting because you as the reader start suffering from Stockholm syndrome and you really are interested in the side stories instead of the main story. I think the story is innocent and yet dangerous in terms of a kidnapping and i am glad there wasn't a more psychologically or physical abuse impacts due to Danny's age it may have been too painful for me. This story goes to show you never actually know anyone.

Snatched is a extremely well written psychological thriller. As the story unwinds, there are many surprises, twists and turns that make this an enjoyable read. It has a strong plot, with strong and intriguing characters. The tension builds throughout the book. I will be looking out for more books by Gillian Jackson. My thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An easy to read thriller with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. The relationship between Danny , the kidnapped child, and one of those involved was interesting. I also enjoyed the narration from Danny’s point of view. I will certainly look for other books by this author.

I would firstly like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

While the story itself was rather daunting to read, and it was written in such a way that it was definitely a page-turner, unfortunately predictability let it down. There were so sudden twists and turns that keep me on the edge of my seat, instead a slow-paced story that was predictable from start to finish. This is not necessarily a bad thing as I did enjoy the read, it's just a shocking twist and turn of events is just what I've come to expect from an amazing thriller read.
With some greatly written characters and a happy ending, I still recommend this one.

A tightly written, well paced book which tells the story of Danny, a kidnapped boy, and his mum and dad, Martha and Richard. There are secrets galore as the parents try to raise the ransom money, the police try to figure out who did it, and the reader wonders why Danny was chosen. An enjoyable read that went faster than I'd expected.

Not your normal 'kidnapped' book.
I enjoyed this book it was written in a easy way to read and follow dispite being told from different points of view which is tricky to do.
It has a solid story and little extras written inbetween the main story which I enjoyed.

I feel like 2019 is the year of the psychological kidnapping story. However this book was different. I like the point of view of Danny. Even the tone is written with a child’s voice. The prologue grabbed my attention and all of the sudden I’m binge reading this book!

Danny is 11 he is snatched on the way home from school. He is taken to an isolated farmhouse.
His mother comes home from work and Danny isn’t there . They alert the police.
The day after they receive a ransom note asking for a substantial amount of money.
They cannot raise all the money as Richard has made a few investments and not told Martha they get together as much as they can . Richard meets the kidnappers but they tell him they want the full amount . They give them 48 hrs to get the rest .
Danny is being held in a dark dirty room frightened and alone until a little boy called Lewis brings him little bits of food and drink but is Lewis really his friend
Richard & Martha’s marriage is cracking will they survive this horrendous time.
Will they get Danny back alive ?
Thanks NetGalley

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy. Danny an 11 year old boy is kidnapped. His parents receive a ranson note demanding money but it turns out they do not have any. His father is not very trust worthy when he doesn't follow the demands. A twisty thriller. A surprise ending that you won't see coming.

When eleven year old Danny is kidnapped on his way home from school, his parents are broken with agony. When a ransom demand arrives their world is rocked with trying to find the money. While Danny is being held is he in danger?

This was a good story with minimal police pov but mainly the parents and Danny which made a good change. I enjoyed this and would read more by the author. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

Having read alot of child kidnaping psychological thrillers I must say I loved this authors different spin on it. It was well written and had me reading it all night. There was likeable and unlikable characters as all good thrillers should have. The story begins with an opening Prologue in 1988 in which two young children are found abandoned in a building. It's not until the last 2 chapters that you find out how this all ties in. While there was several twist the Epilogue has the biggest twist I never saw coming. I would like to thank GillianJackson, NetGalley and SapereBooks for an ARC of Snatched in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book especially the addition of the curious friendship between Danny and Lewis. The author weaves a vivid story line about a child abduction, ransom demand and the unraveling of a families secrets. I did find the story a little dragged out and it could have packed more suspense in the storyline, or perhaps the tale could have been shortened slightly but overall it was a good read.

Danny is kidnapped on his way home from school. A ransom is made to his parents Martha and Richard. Raising the cash should not be a problem for the affluent couple. However Richard has been hiding a massive secret which has huge implications on the ability to raise the money.
Danny is held captive, however Lewis, the son of one of these people befriends Danny. We see a friendship develop which is suddenly broken by a tragic accident.
As the story unfolds we understand the implications of Richards secret life.
Fab read which kept me guessing.
