I apologize for the delayed response on this title. As you can see from the timeline of this feedback, I was not able to finish this title. I attempted to reread the series, but I did not connect to the title as much as I wanted to.

Dahl is an auto-buy for me, especially because of her characters, but I'll say that Grace and Cole were not my favourites of hers. I felt that the story had a great set up, but that Cole's decisions didn't fit with personality he was presenting to everyone. I recognize that this is the first in a series, and there is some world-building to do, but it felt less cohesive than some of her other books.
