I thought I had most of the plots in the book figured out but found that there were some surprises in the end.
Violet Young is a hugely successful mommy vlogger who has over a million followers. One day Violet deletes all of her social media accounts with no warning and no explanation. This causes the rumor mills to run rampant and some of her more extreme followers to become a little too involved in finding out the truth of why Violet has suddenly taken herself off the grid. Some of these followers are a little too involved in her life and have made her a main component of their own lives and These people have suffered their own transgressions and either have used Violet's videos to get them through or have blamed her for the issues they have faced. When her online world bleeds into the real world it leads to a catastrophic event that causes Violet to remove herself from social media.
I liked the ending and how they closed the chapter on each person's life. Most people got what they deserved either positively or negatively. Some secrets are best kept that way.
Thank you Charlotte Duckworth, Crooked Lane Books and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.
This book is a modern thriller based on the life of an on line vlogger who on the surface has the perfect life as a wife and mother. One day this online persona goes offline much to the dismay of her followers, who are all caught up in her online fantasy. There is much debate and speculation as to why this person disappeared , so much so that 2 of her followers try to unravel the mystery .Both these women have their own troubled lives of secrets and lies which begin to unravel as the mystery deepens,
This is a very good mystery thriller well written and enjoyable. I recommend this book for a good read.

I am absolutely loving these books coming out about big time bloggers and social media stars. It's a really fun twist and hey, it kind of reminds you to be careful what you put online for everyone to see.
Violet is a YouTube sensation, but one day her social media goes dark. Where is she?
Lily is a single mother with a lot on her plate and she finds inspiration in Violet. When Violet goes missing it feels like things have gotten even darker. But did Lily have something to do with Violet's disappearance? Or is she just looking out for her?
Yvonne is a 40 year old woman with a younger husband and they're yearning to have a baby. Although Yvonne feels a sense of loss when Violet disappears, she also seems slightly jealous of Violet's life. Maybe she's behind what happened to Violet?
And then there's Henry, the husband that seems so perfect on paper, but is he really as great as he seems on social media?
I loved this book right up until the end. There wasn't quite the twist that I wanted there to be, instead more was revealed as I got deeper into this book. Had there been a twist this novel would have received an A. Still, it was a very fun read!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book has a really unique plot, and it definitely made me think about how much I both use and share on social media. I was definitely invested in the mystery, and I really did want to know how it ended.
My biggest problem with it was that none of the characters, save for one that we didn't get to know very well, had really no redeeming qualities. The characters were just chronically unlikeable, and for a bunch of adults, spent most of the book acting like teenagers.
I recommend this book for the mystery and the twists. But if liking characters is a requirement for the reader, I'd skip this one.

I love a social media themed psychological thriller and this book had me from page 1.
Creepy, dark, twisty and twisted! So well written especially considering all the different POVs. But it was easy to follow (no pun intended!)
Thank you Netgalley, the publisher and the author for my free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I had a rough start with this one. Had to fight through the first 10% but then I was in. Witty and very juicy like good gossip. Had a hard time putting it down after the initial rough start. Was a rather intriguing read all in all.

4.5 Stars
Social media stalkers are the new unreliable "girl/female/woman/wife" and if the books I've read in this vein so far are any indication, this is an excellent trend.
Unfollow Me brings us into the life of a mommy blogger, Violet, who disappears from YouTube and all social media mysteriously, leaving her obsessive followers desperately craving answers and behaving a bit extreme in the process. We meet Lily and Yvonne, both of whom are addicted to Violet's updates and to watching her family's every move.
This is the first novel I've read of Duckworth's and it was so enjoyable. I could not stop turning the pages to find out what happened next. As each layer unraveled, my attention only grew more rapt, until the satisfying conclusion. I'm eager to see what that this talented voice comes up with next.

This was a page turner! Plot goes that Violet is a famous YouTube mommy vlogger who suddenly deletes her accounts one day. What we read is several points of view from two women who follow Violet and desperately want to know what happened to her. The third point of view is told from the perspective of Violets husband Henry. As each chapter goes on, we peel back layer by layer the secrets and lies these three people are holding back from themselves and those close to them. This was such a unique book given the times we are in and how famous ordinary women can get from gaining followers on social media. It’s rather creepy and maybe not all it’s cracked up to be. I love the way the author gives us piece by piece of a puzzle with each chapter until it all comes together with a bang. She’s definitely an author I’ll be looking forward to reading more of. Her style and talent for weaving suspense and drama are immaculate! Definitely recommend this book!!!

2 stars
This is an instantly intense book. I was immediately drawn into the story and the lives of Violet, Henry, Yvonne and Lily. However, about halfway through the book something changed. The characters became whiny and trite. Lily and Yvonne lost any appeal as characters I cared about.
I had to plod my way through the end of the book. It was disappointing considering how well this book started
I cannot recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

This book was just what I needed - something juicy and twisty to help me out of a reading slump!
Violet is a famous British mummy YouTuber, with 1.7m subscribers who tune in to watch her life as a mother. Gaining an audience after sharing her experience with post-partum depression, she has gained an army of fans ... and some who don’t want to see her success. When she mysteriously deletes her channel and all her social media, her subscribers are perplexed by her disappearance.
We follow two different characters - Lily a single mother who drinks heavily who feels lost without being able to watch Violet and her family and Yvonne, who is struggling to conceive. Both woman have one thing in common - they both want to know what happened to Violet.
This book was SO GOOD. It constantly kept me on my toes and kept me guessing throughout. I enjoyed both Lily and Yvonne as characters. The book is told three POVs and is very clever and well written. I finished this two sittings and it was hard not to devour in one sitting.
Overall, a great plot, well written and the perfect amount of suspense. This is my first book from Charlotte and I look forward to reading more of her work.
Thank you to crooked lane books and NetGalley for this eBook

An addicting and surprising thriller filled with social media addiction and unexpected twisted relationships that will have you flipping pages. It was unputdownable for me and I love a story that keeps you guessing and guessing. I will continue to read this author. Fantastic!

A novel about a mystery linked to social medias ? Count me in. I hadn't realized it was about middle-aged women, but I honestly ended up liking it !
The first thing you need to know here is that we deal with 3 points of view through the whole book. If you don't like it, pass this. The chapters are very short and you have to keep up with who's who and who's doing what.
Violet is a vlogger who records everything about her family (Henry the husband, and the three kids). She's followed by millions, especially in the UK. When all her social medias suddenly go dark, everyone wonders what's going on. Lily and Yvonne are two fellow Violet's fan, who try to guess what happened to her, all while dealing with the whirlwind that is their own life.
As I said before, I hadn't realized I was dealing with middle-aged characters when I requested the e-arc. When I started reading, I was a little worried I would have issues connecting with the characters, because I'm not in the same range of age and their concerns are miles away from mine, but in the end, I was able to understand them and appreciate them well enough.
The best thing about this book is the way the story unravels. The author truly has a talent for mystery and slowly unraveling her plot. You first start reading about Lily and Yvonne, nice and slow, learn a little about their lives, and slowly, you start getting deeper into who they really are, learn their deepest secrets and desires. It's absolutely well-done, every chapter gives a little crumb which made me want to keep on reading, even though I had a ton of uni work to focus on. I read the whole thing in a day because those little pieces of the puzzles dropped at each chapter kept me going and wondering what had happened to Violet.
Usually, when I like a book, I read super fast because I want to know everything at once, but this time, it was gripping in the way that you want to unravel the mystery piece by piece and try to guess yourself at the same time as the character. This time I was able to truly savor the book.
I recommend it for people who like soft mysteries (there's no gore or really bad triggers, so it's adapted to most publics except children of course). Again the writing was really good, so you can definitely go for it.

The novel "Unfollow Me" details the narrative of a famous "mommy blogger" and the unhinged women who follow her. The author weaves a dark, twisted storyline that became confusing, at times. However, the book had a satisfying ending.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Unfollow Me is a clever book about social media and those who follow Violet but wait she shuts down all her accounts
Her followers are obssessed with finding out why.
The story is told from so many different viewpoints. Yvonne being my favourite.
You will find yourself laughing out loud as the pages turn quickly.
All the characters had their own story that comes out with each page, I had to know how Unfollow Me was going to end.
I dont want to give anything away but you wont be disappointed to read Unfollow Me.
I am off to read Rival by Charlotte Duckworth.
Thanks to Netgalley and Crooked Lane Books for entertaining me with Unfollow Me !!

Charlotte Duckworth will be on my must-read list of authors after this book! I read lots of psychological suspense, and this one stands out for its complicated, three dimensional characters. They were all unreliable narrators and it took me a while to figure out who was good and who was bad. Lots of twists & turns that all came together in a believable way!

A book of the times. How social media can be used for nefarious means. How much should someone share about their lives and what might happen when too much is shared. This book kept my attention from beginning to end.

I really enjoyed this book!
Violet is a successful influencer, with subscribers across several social media platforms eager to hear about her latest exploits. When her accounts suddenly shut down, eyebrows are raised and some of her fans decide to find out what has happened to her, with varying results!
The chapters are punchy, well paced which meant I was eager to keep reading to find out more. I loved all of the characters, and How my perceptions of them gradually changed as I made my way through the pages.
Highly enjoyable! Thanks to Netgalley and Crooked Lane Books for this copy of Unfollow Me in exchange for an honest review.

When a popular mommy vlogger, Violet, is missing, her fans are desperate to know what happened. The plot is told from different points of view., using emails to tell the story.
The plot and characters were engaging. This story has it all lies, love, and obsession; I was on the edge of my seat until I knew the fate of the missing vlogger. I enjoyed this unique look at social media.

Unfollow Me is parts fascinating and part boring. I liked the concept of a popular mommy blogger, Violet, that one day vanishes, all accounts disappeared. The story alternates in three parts; Yvonne who is obsessed with Violet (with some sort of knowledge of Violet's family from a past life), Lily who is obsessed with Violet and on the verge of a breakdown, and Henry, husband of Violet. The book moves slowly as 4/5 of the book is the suspenseful build up. The author drops sparing details for the reader to try and figure out how it will end. However, when the build up finally comes a head, I found it to be extremely anti-climatic. I was disappointed in the ending and I am afraid many other readers will be as well. I think this story is believable as many find themselves sucked into the lives of internet celebrities, but I think it missed the mark in story development.

Nothing spectacular for me I'm afraid. Perhaps it's because I'm just not a fan of the whole vlogging world but I just could not get into this book!
