As a Full House and Fuller House fan, I couldn’t wait to jump into Andrea’s book and see what her life was and is like. While I only got into the shows as the spinoff started to air on Netflix, I quickly adored Kimmy and wanted to know more about Andrea. This book was really enjoyable and a little bit of a heartbreaking read.
Andrea shares the ups and downs of her life throughout this book and I’m so glad she did. She writes in-depth about her experience with anxiety and depression and that is something I’m so thankful for. Her experience with anxiety specifically was/is extremely close to my own experience and it was nice to know I’m not alone in it.
I loved reading about what she was up to in her time away from Hollywood and it was so insightful into the world of Andrea. She’s extremely honest and open with what she shares in this book and it made me like and admire her even more.
If you’re a Fuller House fan, I can’t recommend this enough.
I am a huge fan of Full House and Fuller House! I was so excited to be given this ARC and I absolutely adored it! Andrea Barber, aka Kimmy Gibbler, shows us the real side of her and that she isn't as outgoing as her character on the show. I loved how much she talked about her battles with mental illness and how candid she is. I felt like I was really getting to know Andrea as a person separate from Kimmy. I loved how she talked about the cast and how they were a big family and how they are still a part of her life. I feel like I relate to Andrea on a deeper level now, having been in my own battles with mental illness.
I really liked how she talked about everything as if she were talking to a friend. I know some celebrities write memoirs or release their stories and some of them just aren't readable or relatable. But Andrea's felt really down to Earth and I was able to whiz through it because I was enjoying it so much!
I grew up watching Full House like most other kids that grew up in the 90's. I was super excited to hear about the reboot and was pleasantly shocked when it turned out to be a great show with the same vibes as the original but at the same time able to be current. I always loved all of the characters, but found that as a kid I most related to Stephanie, probably because we are closest in age. As an adult, I relate more to D.J., but kind of wish I could be more like Kimmy Gibbler, who is who she is and doesn't care what anyone else thinks about it. I always knew that Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy, quit acting after the original Full House, so I was shocked to see just how awesome she still was at playing this character all of these years later. Full Circle is a memoir by Barber, that tells us about doing just that from her years on Full House, to the things that happened in between, and then back to Fuller House. She is very candid about her struggles with mental health, which I could 100% relate to, and her life in general. It was interesting to hear about how normal her life has been, and how "normal" she is now even back in the holiday spotlight. Full Circle is a great read for any fan of Full House or Fuller House.
I have a confession to make. I have never been a fan of Full House. I didn’t especially care for it when it came out and I don’t watch the reruns either. But after reading, Full Circle, From Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again, I have become a big fan of Andrea Barber, a.k.a. Kimmie Gibbler. Full Circle is a refreshingly honest memoir written with wit, humor and sincerity. Andrea is the type of woman you’d like to have as a friend, coworker or neighbor. She’s kind, genuine, intelligent and funny. She’s been both blessed with success and cursed with generalized anxiety disorder. This is a story of success, struggle, gratitude and inspiration.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this memoir.
Andrea Barber and Full House were popular when I was older, so I have never really cared all that much about the show. Having said that, I was intrigued by Barber who played a slightly offbeat character.
This memoir basically reflects Barber, in my opinion. Some aspects are "cutesie" while others are deep and raw.
Yes, this memoir is a bit sugary, but then she brings us into her world of depression and anxiety and all of a sudden, Barber herself becomes a "real" human, who doesn't just appear on TV, but has some good, bad and some ugly.
Loved, loved this memoir.

I was a huge fan of “Full House” growing up, and have tuned in to the reboot “Fuller House” on Netflix. Kimmy Gibbler wasn’t my favorite character on the show (that accolade went to Stephanie) but her character’s outfits and well timed one liners always made me laugh.
Once the show ended and her cast mates made headlines in other programs, I always wondered whatever happened to Kimmy Gibbler? When it first came out I quickly devoured Jodie Sweetin’s memoir, and I was excited to read this one as well. Andrea’s past isn’t as salacious as Jodie’s, but that doesn’t mean her story isn’t one that shouldn’t be read. Andrea, like me, is an introvert and suffers from generalized anxiety disorder. We have both had more than our fair share of moments when our anxiety takes over and leaves us debilitated. She talks openly about the stigma that surrounds not only this disease, but mental health as a whole. It was refreshing to read a celebrity memoir that was so honest and didn’t come across as preachy. There are passages where Andrea gives advice or encouragement, and it feels real, not forced. You feel like you’re having a heart to heart talk with a friend.
Growing up watching Full House and always finding the crazy neighbour Kimmie Gibbler as entertaining as any part of the show.
The part was meant to be fun and quite an integral part of the show. The actress played this part so great and you never would have guessed that this wasn't just like her real personality.
Reading this book I see a different side of things. Barber is not what one would call anything like her character. Suffering from depression and anxiety is just part of it.
I loved reading about the behind the scenes items and just seeing what type of person all these actors are like.
This is he second book I have read written by a Full House cast member the first being Jodie Sweetin. Both have faced there own demons and of course survived and have succeeded in coming back from there particular issues.
The book was great and just as I would have expected it shows both good and bad parts of life. I see also a lot of similarities between her life and mine. I never seem to feel like I fit in and also have anxiety a lot of times as well.
An open honest look at this wonderful actresses life her wonderful. spirit warm personality and her sharing of her teal health issues make this a very engaging read. #netgalley#kensigtonbooks,
I was pleasantly surprised by this book.
It was well written and provided an honest snapshot of the author's life.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Full Circle is an enjoyable read about the life of Kimmy Gibbler, aka Andrea Barber. It was revealing to read about Barber's very normal childhood and how she shies away from stardom. She is a very down to earth person whom I can appreciate. I always liked her as zany Kimmy during the original series, but she was my favorite during the Fuller House run. No one would have guessed her struggles with mental, health issues and the talented actress she is by playing a character completely different in the series. It's a fast read because you want to hear more about her straight forward approach to life.
