I love Jennifer's style of writing and the voice of her writing. She has some delightful characters, both the main ones and the side characters.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

With the Petersheim twins, who needs a matchmaker? Alfie and Benji were adorable as they tried to find Abraham a wife. The twins just had to get out of the basement, they can’t sleep on a blow up mattress forever.

The twins are at it again. And they are adorable. They do pretty good for their age, to come up with the plans they come up with. And i link and enjoy the humor they come up with. They will keep you laughing for most of the story. They were pretty smart to figure out how to make Abraham talk to Emma! This gave the plot a lot of depth, and gave Abraham a reason to talk. I really enjoyed Abraham and Emma’s character. Enjoyed watching Abraham come out if his shell and actually talk to a girl. A girl he never thought he woukd have a chance with. All around, this story, and the twins plans ended up working out for the good of everyone.

And in her usual fantastic writing, author Jennifer Beckstrand takes readers on another enjoyable and humorous journey of matchmaking. I don’t really think this series will match up to the Huckleberry Hill series, for me, that one just can’t be topped. But this series is going to be another Fabulous read by this wonderful author. I highly recommend that you check out Abraham, and the rest of the Petersheim Brothers series.

Well the peanut brother twins are at it again, this time matchmaking their brother Abraham with the perfect girl, Emma. Emma has a great affection for her chickens and the twins use that to fool her into thinking their "secret" dog is after them. Insert Abraham, who would rather be left alone in his bachelor life.

Jennifer has outdone herself with the characters in the new Peanut Brother series. The fun-loving twins are just the greatest and honestly are right up there with Felty and Anna in my favorite characters of all time.

I received a copy of this novel from netgalley and the publisher in return for my honest reveiw.

ABRAHAM is the second book in this series, but it stands alone. Fans of Ms. Beckstrand's quirky humor will want to read the first book in the series, Andrew.

The book is funny, but ABRAHAM and his lady love Emma are not the brightest crayons in the box. They are fooled so easily and it is painfully obvious that what they are falling for couldn't have happened.

Plus Emma is the most self-centered girl ever. ABRAHAM is good enough to be used (and gullible enough to allow it), but not good enough to even acknowledge in public. Emma wants to flirt with the more interesting boys.

I was not real impressed with this book, but I loved the twins and Bitsy.

The second in the series of three peanut making brothers. The three 20+ men have twin 9 year old brothers who want them married and out of the house. They were successful with the first brother, and now it is Abraham's turn. A lot of fun antics and had me chuckling a lot. They notice he watches Emma at church, so they set their sights on her by getting a dog. Feel sorry for their mom, but a least the house is not boring. There are some serious parts of course, and I found Emma a little to proud of her looks, but these were minor. Highly recommend this book, author and series.

Well the twins are at it again. They are matchmaking artist. The one thing now standing between them and escaping the basement is their brother Abraham. They think they have the perfect girl in Emma. Emma has a great affection for her chickens. After the twins find themselves with a dog the chickens will come in handy to make this match. Emma is a friendly outgoing girl , Abraham is not exactly the boy she is looking for. He is quiet and isn't looking for a wife . He would prefer to be a bachelor. He and Emma decide the will be friends even though they both have feelings for each other. The twins have to take a few punishments for their antics in trying to get these to become a couple. After a few misunderstandings this might just work out.

The first book in this series was delightful, and I can't believe I loved this one even more! Alfie and Benji, the youngest brothers, are highly entertaining and mischievous in a way that's endearing and makes me laugh out loud. They are on a mission to get their older brothers married off so they no longer have to sleep in the basement, and they are single-minded about it. I love how they make friends with Emma and bring her and Abraham together in situations they wouldn't normally find themselves. It allows Abraham to shine in his own right as he does thoughtful things for Emma and she is able to get to know him on a deeper level. Of course conflicts, self-doubt, and miscommunications arise and muddle up the waters of their blossoming relationship, but this journey with the boys, their illicit secret dog, a girl, and her beloved chickens is one that I'll be reading again! Great chemistry and sweet romance balance perfectly with humor and themes of community and belonging.

You just have to love the twins Alfie and Benji Petersheim! And yep... Alfie and Benji spell TROUBLE!! They just can't help themselves as they try to get out of that cellar and back upstairs into a real bedroom. If they can just get another brother married all their troubles will be over. How fun to listen and follow them in their planning and plots to help brother Abraham find the perfect girl. Loved this story! I was gifted a copy, no review was required. My review is voluntary.

Love this book! Definitely a must-read for anyone who loves Amish fiction. I highly recommend this one as it is an easy read and you will not want to put it down. If you love Amish fiction, definitely check this one out!

Jennifer Beckstrand knows how to insert humorous moments into a fictional Amish family story. The youngest Petersheim brothers are at it again—trying to get one of their older brothers married off so they can move out of the basement. Their plots and plans add amusing incidents, and this time they try using a stray dog as bait to lure a girl for Abraham. Will they ever succeed in their scheme? The characters seem real and the drama engaging. The novel includes some surprises too. This book would be a fun read-aloud for a family. It’s not your typical Amish tale. And the problems and growth of the characters may just make you think about your own attitudes and decisions. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

What I think you should know:
Abraham is the Second book in the Petersheim Brothers Series, it is Amish Fiction. While it can be read as a stand alone novel I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book in the series, Andrew. Despite being successful in finding a wife for their oldest brother Alfie and Benji and still stuck living in the cellar so they have set their sights on their next brother Abraham.

My Thoughts about Abraham:
Even if you are not a fan of Amish fiction I think that you will love this book. Alfie and Benji are such fun characters The author, Jennifer Beckstrand, keeps you guessing as to what antics they are going to get into next. Abraham was such a sweet guy, he would make a great husband Amish or English. For the first time ever I did not enjoy an Amish girl lead, as was Beckstrand’s intention Emma was selfish, and did not demonstrate the humbleness that is more often seen in Amish. While I did not like Emma for an interesting dynamic to the story. I loved this book as much and the first and I am looking forward to the third in the series.

I received a complimentary copy for this book from Celebrate Lit, this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

Wow! This book was so good. It not only had elements of romance, it also had elements of comedy (some of which made me laugh out loud!) If you're looking for an easy read and something that will keep you interested, this is it. I can't wait for the third book in the series, Austin, to come out.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and Kensington Books in exchange for an honest review.

Like the first book in this series, I didn't find this book particularly funny which is my very favorite thing about Beckstrand's books, but I still enjoyed the story. Abraham was so very sweet, and to be honest, he deserved better than he got in this story in my opinion. I did enjoy Emma's story arc, but the lows she reached were pretty awful, and Abraham turned out to be a better person than I am. My favorite characters in the story were Bitsy and Abraham's mom. I love how they both know more than they let on, and they both make me laugh.

Jennifer Beckstrand has another great new series to read. This is book 2 and a fine followup to Andrew. The two Petersheim twin boys are at it again. They decide to match up their quiet and shy brother Abraham with a popular Amish girl who has absolutely no interest in Abe. As always their antics snowball out of control and Abraham finds himself in the middle of it all. Love this series. Loveable characters, terrific plot, and wonderful humor.

Jennifer Breckstrand has done it again. This book is part of a series, but dies not need to be read as part of the series. Abraham is not the typical Amish story . This book is so fun, I laughed out loud at the antics of Abrahams twin brothers. All the characters are so well developed and the writing is so well done. Make sure you read this book if you are an Amish fiction lover or if you not, you will become a fan quickly

My Thoughts on Abraham:
I loved getting to know Alfie and Benji in the first book in this series and could not wait to revisit them. They’re still trying to get out of the basement they were moved into when their Mammi and Dawdi moved in. With Dawdi’s blessing, never mind that he can’t really talk and give his blessing, they come up with a scheme to marry off another brother and hopefully get out of their dungeon.

This book will make you laugh so hard. It’s hilarious what these eight-year-old twins come up with to help out their older brother and the girl they’ve chosen for him. They seem to land in scrapes but come out more determined than ever!

I loved getting to know Abraham and seeing him come out of his shell and become a character of his own. In the first book we didn’t get to see him much but this time he almost steals the show from his twin brothers. Almost but not quite. They’re still my favorites.

Should I mention the dog? In the first book, we had cats and bees. This one has a dog and it’s hilarious! Better go grab your copy now because you’re going to need to read the whole thing.

Jennifer Beckstrand is indeed a master storyteller who can grab your attention on the first page of the book and keep it until the very last page is read.
This author has a unique, special talent of incorporating humor into every situation that can possible occur in the life of an Amish family! Her writing style appeals to young and older readers, to those of us who just want to pick up a book and enjoy it , laughing at the many antics that these brothers get into. Abraham is the second in the Petersheim Brothers series. Although it can be read as a standalone, having read the first , I enjoyed the fact that I was revisiting one of my favorite families.

The characters are so vividly described that you immediately are drawn into their lives, leaving the reader awaiting the next situation they get themselves into. I particularly loved these nine year old twins who just couldn't keep themselves out of trouble!

The plot was well developed with constant twists and turns created as the twins try to marry off their older brother. Never did I believe, I would enjoy a story about chickens!!

This book is one not to be missed!! Full of fun, humor , it will make you smile and at times laugh out loud. I am eagerly awaiting book three in this series. Jennifer knows how to make one smile and enjoy life!!!

Abraham by Jennifer Beckstrand is the second novel in The Petersheim Brothers series. Alfie and Benji Petersheim are eight year old twin brothers who are tired of sleeping in the cellar. They were excited when their plan to marry off their brother, Andrew worked. Unfortunately, their mother turned Andrew’s bedroom into her sewing room so she could have a place to escape from Mammi (I don’t blame her). So, the twins have turned their attention to Abraham. Abraham seems smitten with Emma Wengerd so the twins come up with a plan to get the pair together. Abraham is a delightful story. Alfie and Benji manage to get themselves into numerous scrapes. Of course, it falls onto big brother, Abraham to assist these mischievous twins. I thought the characters were developed and realistic. They each had insecurities like Abraham’s shyness and how he would put himself down. He had such a kind heart and is a thoughtful man. The twins are going to have their work cut out for them matching their shy brother with the lovely and outgoing Emma. It is going to be a bumpy ride especially with Perry in the picture. Jennifer Beckstrand’s descriptions allowed me to envision the story and characters. I could just see the twin’s grandfather being pushed into the woods in his wheelchair. I could tell that he was having the time of his life. I believe the twins are what is helping the grandfather recover from his stroke. I love the inclusion of Bitsy Weaver. She is my favorite character (I wish I had half her gumption). I was tickled that the author included her in this series. It was interesting to learn about some unique variety of chickens (Emma loves her chickens) like the Silke and their colorful eggs. Abraham is well-written with steady pacing. I did not want to put down this engaging story. I laughed so often while reading this charming tale. Abraham can be read on its own, but I highly recommend Andrew. I cannot wait to read Austin. I have a feeling that the twins are still without their much wanted bedroom and will have to find Austin a mate next. Abraham is an enchanting story with exotic chickens, wily lads, a meddling Mammi, a bothersome boy, a skinflint store owner, and peanut butter problems.

I love this author and this series of books. This family is fantastic. I love the young twin boys that just want to get their older brothers married so that they can sleep back upstairs again. This book is really funny and there are a few sad parts. The author really seems to know how twin brothers think and feel. I did not want this story to end. I am so looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
