Nine-year-old twins Alfie and Benji don’t appreciate sleeping in the cellar when their grandparents move in with them. They married off their oldest brother Andrew, now they work on Abraham so they can have their bedroom back.
Abraham is painfully shy and is perpetually tongue-tied around girls. He likes animals and hopes to be an Amish vet; Emma Wengerd keeps exotic chickens. Perfect―a conversation topic. The twins enlist the aid of an abandoned dog to further contact between Abraham and Emma.
Abraham always stared at Emma like she was a bag of potato chips, but Emma is popular, pretty, and loves boys’ attention. She thinks Abraham is boring. While he can be interesting to talk to, she doesn’t want him messing up her self-centered life. Until she takes a good look at herself. By then, Abraham realizes she’s selfish. Is it too late for her?
You’ll cheer for Abraham and wish Emma would get her head on straight.

This is a wonderful sequel to "Andrew". It continues the journey of The Petersheim Brothers! The twins are up to their old tricks again and Abraham is their target this time. The book is full of laughter and love. The characters are still the same loving and kind characters you see in the first book. This book also has the element of finding oneself and coming into who you are and accepting who you are. Great book!

This is such a fun book. I love the twin boys, they are a hoot! You will stay entertained with their schemes to get their older brother married so they can move out of the basement into his room. This book was an absolute joy to read. Thank you Kensington Books Zebra via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

What can go wrong when twin 9 year old brothers come up with a plan to marry off another brother?Poor Alfie and Benji are doomed to live in the creepy spider filled basement unless them can push their very quiet, older brother toward marriage. Readers will be thoroughly entertained with all the antics of these adorable, mischievous boys. I love the no-nonsense mother, ever patient brother, and Birdie. Looking forward to reading about the next brother in this sweet, quirky series. Highly recommend!

As always, Jennifer Beckstrand has given us a sheer delight to read. Her characters are well rounded, personable, and REAL. She knows how people think and feel, and is able to make us empathize with and love the players in her books. The twins are their adorable, silly selves, and Aunt Bitsy makes several appearances. (Not that you have to be familiar with Beckstrand's other work to enjoy this, it is a stand-alone story, but to those who HAVE read her other books, we have some favorite characters she incorporates into her stories). This one will make you laugh and cry. NetGalley provided me with a free copy of Abraham in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to submit a positive assessment.

Abraham is the second book of a series, "The Petersheim Brothers". It's an excellent and funny book, with Abraham, a shy man, and his younger twin brothers, Alphie and Benji. The twins, who are living in the creepy basement, make a plan to marry off their brother so they can move into his bedroom. Mischief and chickens ensue, and then you have a fun story to enjoy. Great reading!
