I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me through NetGalley. This book was just absolutely wonderful. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just couldn’t put it down. I just lost myself within this amazing story. I most definitely will read more by this author.

The third book in Cold River Ranch, The Last Real Cowboy, was a good read but not my favourite. I like the premise but struggled with Brady at times. I will read more of this series and maybe he can redeem himself through further books

The Last Real Cowboy is book number three in the Cold River Ranch series by Caitlin Crews. This is Amanda Kittredge and Brady Everett's story. Despite the chemistry and attraction between Amanda and Brady these two took forever to figure things out. I still rated this book at a four because it is well written just took too long for Amanda and Brady to figure it for me. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a great wrap up to this series!

Brady and Amanda's story was awesome! This was less angsty than the previous books, but there were still some tense moments where my heart broke for both of them. The way Brady and his brothers Gray and Ty finally laid to rest their past was perfect. And so was that last chapter :)

Fantastic story. Cowboy stories have always been my favorite and the latest from Caitlin Crews does not disappointed. Engaging from the start.

Overall, I very much enjoyed The Last Real Cowboy. I hadn't read any of the previous stories, but I still got a sense of the other characters, so it can be read as a standalone. That being said, the dynamic between some of the characters really put me off wanting to read their story. The plot line between Brady and his family (and Amanda and her family) is so filled with conflict that it really made me dislike most of the secondary characters. Toward the end, there's more healing for Brady and his brothers, with with Amanda, there's no satisfying moment where the brothers realize how absolutely ridiculous they're being.

The romance between Amanda and Brady is a different story. Loved the age difference. Loved seeing Amanda plunging head first into carving her own life. Love the forbidden trope and the "teach me" trope. Wished we'd gotten to see a little build up in Brady's revelation of his love for Amanda at the end, but overall, it's a satisfying romance.

This was such a good book. It grabbed me from the beginning, and held me to the very end. I loved the characters—they were real and had real issues, emotions, and actions. They were complex and very well-developed, as was the plot. Ms Crews did a masterful job of weaving a complicated plot, with many parallel storylines. I laughed, I cried, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

WOW!!! I LOVED reading Brady and Amanda’s love story in The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crew, book three in her Cold River Ranch series. Brady is the youngest Everett son, the one who left the ranch to attend college and maybe prove himself to their abusive father. After graduation he stayed in Denver and worked on perfecting a bad-boy image. Returning to the ranch after the death of their father, his plans did not include being forced to work the family ranch for a year, yet there he was, agreeing to stay for the year. Amanda Kittredge, known good girl and over protected by her four older brothers, was ready for a taste of independence and rebellion. She has had a longtime crush on her brother’s best friend, bad-boy Brady Everett, so there really wasn’t anyone better than him to teach her about life and sex. When his best friend’s innocent little sister makes a pest of herself, begging him to teach her about men, Brady knows he should refuse. Amanda convinces Brady, leading to these two to off the charts chemistry and amazing lessons that just might make Brady come to love Amanda; that is if he can survive the consequences.

Ms. Crew wrote a wonderfully emotional and sexy story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters, despite their misgivings and the breaking of the bro-code, giving Brady and Amanda a chance at happiness, love and a future together. I highly recommend The Last Real Cowboy to other readers.

Although the main characters are ten years apart, we can say that they have always known each other since he, Brady, was a friend of Amanda's brother.
Amanda always loved Brady - that nice little girl feeling - but Brady never saw Amanda as a grown woman.
Even though she is 22, he treats her like a little girl.
It is only much later that he realizes that she has grown up and will not be waiting for him forever.

I like plots about old loves, waiting, but I don't like it when the male character behaves like the owner of the truth and doesn't see what's right before his eyes.
2 stars

You can read this book as a stand alone though you will miss some backstory. I am one of those that has not read the first 2 books but it was still fine to read this book. I did like this book. You have two youngest siblings in their own families trying to be heard. The biggest thing I didn't like about this book was Amanda's name, I just didn't think it fit the character, I don't know why but I called her something else in my head. This book centers on two major things, age and family. Amanda does come into her own in this book and I am happy she stood up to everyone and didn't back down. I also think she was too young for Brady but what do I know I'm single. This book is about finding love and fighting for what you want, believe in and love.

An enjoyable read. I seesawed back and forth on the four or three star rating. It was a little slow in the pace and story. ..... However, also the heroine needed a little more maturity but that is what she gets when breaking out and away.... I would term this a nice read. One you can enjoy without having to think. Each of the brothers make this series worth reading. The author is very talented as well as able to draw the reader even reading a sedate story line into the read .....So buy the book sit back and enjoy. It is worth it. I was given this book via NetGalley. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Brady and Amanda were quite the pair in this story. I loved how Amanda started going for what she wanted, asserting her independence as well as getting her brothers to realize she was an adult. She never backed down from what she wanted, who she would become, or who she wanted to spend time with. I almost felt sorry for Brady because he really had no choice. She was determined, but I loved this fire in her. She was young, but a breath of fresh air. Brady had his moments where I really liked him and could sympathize with him. He did have those moments though where I could have really dug into him. However, when he needed to make it work, he really pulled through in a very heart touching, tear inducing way. I loved their story and the little glimpse of the future that was given.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

Brady Everett meets his match in Amanda Kittredge. His best friend’s little sister has grown up while he wasn’t looking, now she has the opportunity to take her crush and turn it into reality. Brady is only too willing, now that he’s realized she’s WAY more than the little girl he knew growing up. Both Brady and Amanda have some growing up to do and it is fun watching them figure out their way, together. Crews keeps getting better and better with every book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

His best friend's sister? No way! Being ten years older. Definitely no. However, when Brady Everett starts to notice Amanda Kittredge he practically fears for his life. His father has recently died, and having recently returned, Brady is all but being forced to remain in town and work on the family's homestead for a year. Now that Amanda is a 22-year-old vivacious woman, Brady does his best to keep his eyes on her from the neck up when they are around one another.

Meanwhile, Amanda is making strides. She already had a job in a coffee house, but she also took a part-time job at a seedy bar. The biggest shock she tells her parents and overbearing brothers - she is getting her own apartment. Her dating experience is woefully inadequate and she is tired of not knowing about the more carnal things in life. Amanda sets her sights on Brady. Can her resist her? If not, what about his best friend and her other brothers?

The Last Real Cowboy is the third book in the Cold River Ranch series. It was a nice read and can do well as a standalone, even though characters from previous books are mentioned often in this story. I loved the family ties when it came to this book. Brady's past with his father was something that was a factor. I also enjoyed Amanda's interactions with her family. So, I found this book to be a very enjoyable part of the series and I do hope Caitlyn Crews will have more of the same for her readers.

Many thanks to St. Martin's Press and to NetGalley for this ARC to review. This is my honest opinion.

I loved this story! Brady was complex and completely gone for Amanda from the first, though he would never admit that. Amanda asserted her independence and had FIRE in her gut for not only Brady, but what she wanted out of life while loving the town she's stuck in. A wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. I hope there are more stories here!

Amanda loves her brothers, but she is determined to assert her independence from their vigilant need to protect her and that starts with putting some physical distance between them and finding a job. The only problem is that even though they aren’t living in the same house it doesn’t stop how they feel and they aren’t happy with her new living arrangements or her job and now they have Brady watching over her as well.

Brady is Amanda’s brother’s best friend who has recently returned to help out on the family ranch even is he isn’t close to his brothers. He has enough on his plate without watching over Amanda especially when she wants him to share everything he knows about physical intimacy.

They are unable to deny the feelings they have for each other, but will they allow their families to destroy what they could have together?

This is a story about family, love and what you are willing to do for both. Both Amanda and Brady are at a crossroads in their life and they find out they are much stronger together than apart.

The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is one hot emotional mess. A large family made up of mostly sons take it in their own minds to baby their sister. It comes down to a boiling point where Amanda can't take their bossy treatment anymore. They treat her like a kid instead of the woman she is. Then, there's her secret crush who thought she was still in high school. Amanda takes matters into her own hands. She moves out of the family house, changes jobs, and her attire changes too. Now, her brothers are looking at her and so is her crush. Brady cannot forget the image of the little girl he once knew as the hot woman he sees now. Angst and romance build up with every page. I enjoyed reading this story. The male idiot learns his lesson of mistreating a woman like Amanda. Amanda is a strong heroine who is determined to change her life for the best.

I absolutely loved this story of true love. Amanda and Brady are so good together, but neither one wants to make a move for different reasons. Amanda is so tired of being treated like a baby. She wants independence and Brady feels like an outsider in his own family. You will want to pick this one up! Such a great read!
