This story shows Amanda getting her independence and Brady learning that he is not like his father and it took the love and support of Amanda to show him. A wonderful romantic story.

Amanda is on her way to getting out of the suffocating watchfulness of her brothers. THE LAST REAL COWBOY is sexy, fun and entertaining.

The Last Real Cowboy is the third installment featuring the Everett brothers, this time featuring youngest brother Brady and perineal “little” neighbor Amanda.

This was a solid read and a good conclusion to this part of the series. I found myself liking both Brady and Amanda and appreciating the emotional growth they both went through. Seeing Brady struggle with being attracted to the much younger Amanda added an element of humor that I wouldn’t have expected.

Not only did I enjoy seeing the Brady/Amanda story unfold, but I also liked seeing the story between Brady and his brothers. Their evolving interactions shed even more light into baggage Brady was packing.

Overall, a good cowboy story that brings one part of the Cold River stories to a conclusion. I am hoping there will be stories with Amanda’s brothers soon!

Both Amanda and Brady are the "babies" of the family. Looked down on and considered young, their desire to be thought of as "good enough" is one of their over riding wishes. Amanda is funny, quirky and smart. While not always the most mature, her love for Brady is very plain. Brady struggles with his lust/love for her. But with her being 10 years younger, the relationship will be difficult. Will they be able to survive what comes? Will the temptation of the forbidden be too much to handle?

I enjoyed this book as the last one from the Everett brothers but I’m really hoping there are more from Cold River because the Kittridge family has a lot of boys that need an HEA. In this one we get Brady’s story. In the other books he is portrayed as the know-it-all city slicker. But that isn’t really him and I liked getting to know what made him tick. We also got to learn more about Amanda Kittridge who I honestly would respect as a real person because I would have punched all of my brothers had they acted the way her’s did. So the storyline was a slow burn but it ended up with a great HEA. The last chapter was more of an Epilogue though than a true last chapter and it seemed a bit out of place but it was fine. I’m hoping for more from this author in this small town in Colorado.

Wow! 2020 is off to an amazing start in my quest to read from more new authors. I’m definitely new to this one so she fit the bill... I love it. I devoured it...so good. The characters were absolutely amazing and it was a new angle at clearly old school novel. Amanda is a wallflower... at the age of 22 she wants to be noticed. Her older brothers make it impossible for her to lose her VCard, and finally she has had enough.

What did I like? I LOVE the new angle, it was so much fun to watch Amanda come into her own, and not back down one bit. That has to be hard to have older brothers like that...such a pain. Brady had some issues of his own but once he really noticed Amanda, he had his hands full.

Would I recommend or buy? Oh yea. This is such a good book. I’m really glad I gave her a chance. I will definitely be checking her out in the future. Buy, borrow, or beg this book. It is so good. I smiled so hard through it.

Thoughts for the author? I am a new fan, but definitely a fan. Congratulations on your new release. Job well done! I’m hooked.

Normally I hate age gap and virgin stories. So sorry, slight spoiler there. They just make me roll my eyes, I don't know what it is, just not my cup of tea. I did not read the description on this one first, because I had already read the first two books in the series, so I just jumped in. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Amanda wasn't as immature as I expected her to be, considering. Brady actually got me towards the end. I don't want to give anything else away, but it turned out better than I expected from where it started, and it wrapped up really sweet - sadly I think this series is over. I've really enjoyed the series as a whole, so I hope there are more books.

so i'm not usually a fan of the virgin begging her brother's best friend to take her virginity stories, and the last real cowboy is actually one of those stories. but amanda kitteridge and brady everett have chemistry and baggage in spades that lends some emotional heft and some solid backstory that lets you move past the trope if you aren't a fan.

i did want to basically kill brady's entire family. and when amanda finally puts them all in their place it was so well-done and just perfectly timed. no wonder the guy thinks he can't be with anyone, his entire family is filled with toxic jerks. i didn't read the brothers' books, and you don't really need that to understand the dynamics here, but i'm not tempted because i hated the brothers so much and can't imagine spending a whole book with them. presumably they aren't as toxic in their own stories.

anyway, in the end, i enjoyed this.

There was some sweet moments between Amanda and Brady, and they do have a steamy connection. I just would’ve liked it if he noticed her before he saw her in a skimpy tank top; it seemed too superficial. I liked the whole brother’s best friend scenario and keeping a secret for a bit, it adds a bit of heat to the romance. Amanda is tired of her older brothers; well, really everyone treating her like a child. She’s 22, but her brothers are still trying to rule her life and scare off dates. She moves above a seedy bar and gets a job bartending there; to the chagrin of her brothers, in hopes of being more independent.

Brady sees her there and starts finally noticing her, but doesn’t want to get on his friend/her brother’s bad side, so he tries to resist. Amanda isn’t having it and propositions him. I’m not a fan of this whole thing; no strings type things just make me think the characters are morons and it’s used so often in books, so I’m just tired of this scenario. I still enjoyed the story though. It does move a bit slow at times; too much side stuff and family drama, but the book is written well. Brady and Amanda both aren’t really seen by their families, so there’s tons of family issues to be sorted.

I loved that Amanda calls Brady out when he’s acting like a moron. She’s a likable, fun character. Brady is okay, but I wanted more grand gestures from him. Still a sweet couple though.

I haven’t read any of the previous books or any other books by this author. I’ll probably check out the previous books because the characters are in this book and their stories sound like they could be interesting.

Being sent to the kids table at family gathering was the last straw. Amanda packs her bags, moves out and gets a job at the seediest bar in town. To top it off, she decides to live in the apartment above said “seedy” bar.

Brady is home to help work on the family farm. Not happy about his 1 year commitment to the farm, he seeks refuge at the seedy bar Amanda is now working. Being the best friend to Amanda’s brother, Brady has never noticed the woman Amanda has become until he walks into that bar and sees Amanda in her work attire.

Amanda’s brother asks Brady to look after Amanda. But Amanda has other plans, she wants Brady to teach her the ways of men and all that entails. Ten years older than Amanda, Brady finds himself swept away by the firecracker that was hiding under everyone’s noses.

Passionate and explosive read, The Last Real Cowboy takes the slow burn to inferno levels. The plot moves quickly and engages the reader in both Brady’s and Amanda’s struggles to be seen as the people they’ve become and not just the preconceptions cast on them from family and friends.

3.5 stars rounded down. I enjoyed this one pretty well. The only negatives were the virgin heroine story line and the fact that now that she’s not a “kid” anymore, he’s immediately attracted to her. At least that’s how it felt to me. There is a deep connection between the 2 characters that I wound up enjoying.

It was so nice to return to Cold River, Colorado in this third book in the Cold River Ranch series. I really enjoyed Brady's story and watching him finally be free of his dead father, Amos.

The Everett brothers and Kittredge brothers are all very sexy cowboys with strong women who believe in them even when they do not believe in themselves. This was also true with Amanda Kittredge and Brady Everett.

This was a fun, sexy, romantic story that I did not want to put down and I was sad when I had finished reading it but I also had a huge smile on my face at how the story ended. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

The Last Real Cowboy is Book 3 of Caitlin Crews' Cold River Ranch series. Even though past characters also play a role in this story, it's not a deal-breaker if you haven't had a chance to read them yet in order to follow along.

Amanda was a very strong, spunky heroine who was tired of being treated like a child by her older brothers. Brady is overcoming some personal struggles of not feeling worthy and trying to get past his father's horrible treatment and indifference to him growing up.

As much as I enjoyed Ty and Gray in the prior stories, I really wasn't impressed with their attitudes and treatment of Brady. It was refreshing when it all came out into the open and things started to become more clear to them how their behavior was affecting Brady.

Overall this was a very nice addition to the series and I look forward to hopefully revisiting more of these characters down the road.

Amanda Kittredge is a typical good girl looking to rebel. Luckily for her Brady Everett, her brother’s best friend, is in town to help her with her problem. He’s back to help out at the family ranch for a year after his father’s death. He wants nothing to do with the ranch. He has a life elsewhere but agrees to stay. Amanda decides that he’s the one to teach her about men and will not stop until he agrees to help her. Their agreement must remain a secret from all of her brothers. Will these two find love or is the desire to leave too strong for Brady?
A good, easy read. The harping on the age difference gets a little old but it’s still enjoyable.

Unfortunately, there was a lot I didn’t like about this book, and the 3 stars is a generous rating...it’s more like a 2.
Amanda is fine, but Brady seems like kind of a dope. He keeps calling Amanda “little girl” but she’s more mature at times than he is! Just because he’s ten years older does not mean he’s a “grown-ass man”...just more like an ass.
Amanda’s brothers may seem like they are just overproduction, but they are jerks, too. Let the girl date, for heaven’s sake! And could her mom try to be supportive?
The only time I liked Brady was when he was in a scene with his brothers...because they were worse than hers! I’m surprised either of them found wives/girlfriends, because Gray made taciturn look downright bubbly compared to his lack of personality.
I really like Caitlin Crews and her writing, but I was not at all impressed with this book. I didn’t read the first two and won’t be backtracking to check them out. I’ll see if she has a new series in the future because this one didn’t work for me.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in Exchange for a fair review.  The Last Real Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is the third book in her Cold River Ranch series. The book can be read as a stand-alone but I've enjoyed the other books in the series and do recommend reading them as well. Amanda Kitteridge tired of being treated like a child by her overbearing older brothers has moved out of the family ranch and has taken an apartment over the local dive bar supplementing her income from the coffee shop with bar-tending shifts at the bar downstairs. Brady Everett is trying really hard to continue to think of his best friends younger sister as a child and therefore off limits but it's getting harder especially when she's working now at the bar he hangs out in and when her brother asks him to keep an eye on her he agrees because he can't seem to look anywhere else. I'm not a huge fan of the best friends little sister trope but somehow Caitlin Crews makes it work and I devoured this book in a day.  She creates characters that are easy to emphasize with and to cheer for when they reach their HEA.

I liked this book a lot more than the others in this series. The characters don't seem to be as stuck inside their heads as most Caitlin Crews' characters usually are. What I did not like was the age difference, it really didn't have to be so big. 10 years is a lot when your heroine is just 22 years old. 3 and a half stars.
