An Amish Wedding Feast on Ice Mountain is a sweet story of two hurting people that come together and find healing. I enjoyed reading about how they discovered each other had a dark secret they were hiding, but once they became closer to each other, healing began. Great story, great ending!

Beth Mast is an Amish Cinderella. She has faithfully taken care of her step mother and step sister since the passing of her father. She harbors the secret from her community of how she is mainly the provider at her home. She takes care of the cooking, the cleaning, and the animals. Ransom King has returned after 5 years with his own ghosts of the past haunting him. However, once he sees Beth, he finds he is drawn to her but is reluctant to pursue a relationship. But as they continue to be drawn together, each must search their souls to find answers.

I love how this story is about finding love, forgiveness, and grace. Not only will you cry but you will laugh. One of my favorite characters is Ransom's Aunt Ruth. She and her ragtag menagerie of pets will have you smiling throughout the book. As one would say Aunt Ruth didn't have a filter and she says what she means whether you want to hear it or not. I really did enjoy this story. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Cinderella meets the Amish community.

This was a great story of grief, regret, strength and finding love. I loved Ransom's character and how he became strong enough for both himself and Beth. He made her feel as if she could do anything, as if she didn't have to live the life she had been living because of her guilt. He made her feel alive again.

I really enjoyed this Cinderella-like Amish romance. Kelly Long's engaging writing style made it very easy to become engrossed in the story. Set in the peaceful community of Ice Mountain, Pennsylvania, we follow our main characters, Beth and Ransom. Since her father's death, Beth has been faithfully taking care of her stepmother and stepsister. But Beth has a sad secret that she keeps hidden from everyone. When she meets Ransom, who has just returned from a five-year apprenticeship in Ohio, he immediately notices her sadness. He longs to show her happiness, but his own haunted past is holding him back. What will it take to get these two wounded hearts to open up to love? An Amish Wedding Feast on Ice Mountain by Kelly Long is a sweet, inspirational story about love, forgiveness, and faith. This book is filled with heartwarming moments, funny moments, and sad moments. The character development was excellent, especially Beth's and Viola's. Beth and Ransom were both easy to like. I rooted for them as they overcame their guilt and learned to forgive themselves for the past. As much as I enjoyed watching their relationship develop, my favorite character would have to be Aenti Ruth. She was such a fun character and I loved her adorable pet family. The kindness she showed towards Beth and the recipe she gave her was very sweet and touching. I really liked the peaceful, beautiful setting of Ice Mountain and enjoyed getting to know all the secondary characters. I will definitely be reading more books set in this world. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Just pure comfort food, exactly what I am hoping for when I pick up a book like this. I love both Amish and homesteading romances because I like all the little details of chores and cooking, and this has some decent descriptions. It's got Cinderella flavor and you get a decent amount of angst there as well as in the secrets both Ransom and Beth are keeping. I loved that it was a little more worldy than most Amish romances out there, there is a lot of kissing and thoughts about the physical side of marriage (with the reminder that sex is important and healthy in a marriage) and a reminder of what might happen during rumspringa, but it overall keeps the dignity of people who have a close and strict religious lifestyle.

All of Ruth's animals were a bit much, but it was kept in hand and she/they didn't appear enough to be fully twee. I'm not a huge fan of precocious animals or children pushing a couple together so this was just right for me.

I liked that Great Aenti Ruth really added humor to this almost Cinderella tale. With the Beth and Ransom carrying such heavy burdens, a little light hearted humor was needed. I also liked that the Amish and English worked together to help one another. Enjoyable story.

An Amish Cinderella story, with Beth being pushed around by her stepmother and her cruel and spoiled stepsister. When Ransom comes back to Ice Mountain, he takes an interest in her, and her stepsister takes an interest in him. Overall a good story, and one that kept my interest, although I did start to skim a bit partway through, as it got a little long at times. Would still recommend though, and enjoyed it overall.

This is a well written book, but it just wasn't for me. This book was not the Amish books I'm use to reading. It was way to worldly for me. Don't let my review stop you from giving it a try, you might love it.. I'm just very picky when it comes to Amish fiction books. Thank you Kensington Books Zebra via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own. I hate to give a book a low rating because I know the author has put their heart and soul into it. So i'm giving it 3 stars because it was well written.

I did not enjoy this book as I hoped. The description read like it was similar to Cinderella, but It was kind of all over the place. For example, the main characters left a pie stand, went to the ice mountain, came out, and there was a fire where they were. No mention of what happened to the stand. And with a strict stepmother you would think there would be a repercussion for leaving the pie stand. The fire came out of no where, but people were ready to fix food and help rebuild.

Additionally, it was more worldly than most Amish novels. I read them to avoid that type of thing. While physical contact is important in a romantic relationship I was caught of guard with the amount mentioned.

I did finish the book and get to the secrets that the main characters were hiding but even that seemed unrealistic. For me, if fell short of my expectations in a lot of ways.
