Cute cozy mystery set in the winter. A perfect cozy mystery for a wine lover and chocolate lover.
I would recommend this book if people enjoy reading wine lover style cozies.
"Sauvigone for Good" is the fourth book in the Wine Trail Mysteries series, and was a fun, quick read. In this installment, the Chocolate and Wine Extravaganza is coming to Finger Lakes, and with it, 3 of the world's most renowned chocolatiers to demonstrate their skills at some of the local wineries, and to compete against each other at the close of the event. When one of the chocolatiers is found dead in the parking lot at the end of the opening night, Norrie Ellington, one of the owners of Two Witches' Winery sets out to find out just who killed him, and to clear the name of her family's business, as it was a Two Witches' Cabernet Sauvignon that was found as the last thing the deceased ingested at the scene of the crime.
Although this book is the fourth in the Wine Trail Mystery series, it easily reads as a stand-alone book. Norrie was a fun character, as scriptwriter taking over the family's winery while her sister and husband are away for a year, as well as her turning into an amateur sleuth, much to the displeasure of the local sheriff. Norrie, along with the other local winery owners made an enjoyable group of sleuths, along with Norrie, and they were good for a few laughs throughout the book. Looking forward to reading the first three books in the series!
Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books and Lyrical Underground for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for and honest review. "Sauvigone for Good" is set to be released on 12/10/19.

From Lyrical Press comes the fourth book in the “The Wine Trail Mysteries” cozy series from J.C. Eaton, Sauvigone for Good.
When I first started reading this cozy series, I was not a fan of the main character, Norrie. Over time the character has grown into an exciting and enjoyable person that if she were real, readers would like. She still has some apparent issues; namely, she's a bit too uninvolved in the winery business, but even this has gotten better. I like the fact that other characters have continued to evolve and grow into great supporting side-kicks.
Even though a lot is going on in this cozy series and book, it isn’t hard to keep up with the clues, or the suspects, and the plot is well thought out. Of course, I feel it is a pity when a chocolatier dies of anything. I figure most would prefer to die by eating copious amounts of chocolate, but murder might be better. In this case, the suspects, as well as others, don’t see it as a significant loss to the chocolate world. I like the fact that the victim isn’t killed in the usual fashion, either. There are some traces of Agatha Christy in this book, and this enhances its appeal. When Norrie finally finds the killer, readers may be surprised, and for a moment unsure but will conclude that it is entirely believable.
This cozy series is getting better with each new addition. Sauvigone for Good is a wonderfully entertaining story, with twists that keep readers guessing, and mouth-watering descriptions that will also make them hungry. I am happy to recommend this book and series to all readers.

A good cozy mystery, entertaining and engrossing.
I liked the solid mystery, the well thought cast of characters and the setting.
Can't wait to read the next instalment in this series.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
3.5 stars. It will go up Saturday November 30th on http://booksmoviesreviewsohmy.com.
Wineries sure do like there events and in this one it's a wine and cheese event. The wine association has set up a competition with some famous chocolatiers. There are three chocolatiers and they are paired with two wineries to do demonstrations with chocolate and being paired with certain wines.
At the first event at Geneva on the Lake all wines that are being used are introduced and Norries winery is doing a Cabernet Sauvignon, that ends up being the last drink that Jules drank before he is found dead in the snow. Norrie is worried everyone will think it was her wine and so of course she decides to try and find out what she can about the chocolatiers. Jules was replaced by his nephew so of course he is first up on her suspect list, although there seems to be a few other suspects among everyone.
I am still not a huge fan of Norrie as she is a bit to gung ho and a tad annoying in her sleuthings. I do admit that my favorite part of this book was the ending because like most in this series they ending always seems to be like something out of a comedy act or it's own version of the movie Clue...lol. Norrie has an idea on who the killer is and puts a plan in motion but it snowballs into a he said/she said finger point session that actually reveals the killer.
I will say that the series has grown on me as I went from one book to another and it's mainly due to the side characters as they are a lot of fun. All the winery owners are a lot of fun and some are very over the top as well and blow things out of proportion but can make you chuckle.
I thought the mystery in this one was really well done because I never fully figured it out, I had certain things but not the whole picture so it was interesting finding out what exactly happened.
I do think some might enjoy this series more than me and I do enjoy this writing duo but I still prefer their Sophie Kimball series.
A disappointing sequel in The Wine Trail Mysteries. Totally unbelievable plot. If so many bad incidents really happened at these wineries, there would not be a soul coming to the chocolate and wine tasting. Too bad. I thought this series had promise.
For many reasons I love 'Sauvigone for Good', not the least of which is the fascinating visit to the Finger Lakes region of New York. J.C. Eaton has produced likable and engaging characters and has placed them in believable situations, especially with the technique of using real places and real people. I find that totally refreshing and I think Dorrie's investigations are also within the realm of the possible and not so great a stretch as with others of this genre. Add humor, a little romance and you have a great read! I look forward to more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Fun story and a great, crazy ending. I do think Norrie got a little carried away with her sleuthing and her wild assumptions, and I really couldn't figure out why she got involved, but it was still a fun read. Hope the love triangle settles down soon.
In this latest book about the wine trail, Norrie becomes embroiled in a mystery because of the involvement of her winery in a special event that the winery trail association is sponsoring. The event combines chocolate and wine, which sounds like a great idea, until one of the chocolatiers is dead holding a wine glass with Two Witches wine. The spotlight is shone on Norrie and she begins her endeavour to clear her name. This leads to her snooping and dragging in other winery friends to snoop with her. I have mixed feelings after finishing this book. There were numerous malapropisms that were annoying and distracting and definitely not intentional to the story. I got to the ending and had to read it again because I thought it wasn't very clear. The resolution and why and how was muddled and I felt a bit of a cop out. The action inbetween was entertaining enough but the ending was just not tight.
Wine and Chocolate, yum. It's always fun to visit the Two Witches Winery and see what happens next,. murder of course. Well written addition to this series.
Norrie Ellington and the other members of WOW are hosting a chocolate and wine extravaganza at their wineries. When world famous chocolatiers descend upon the Finger Lakes, the wine and chocolate are flowing. But when one of the contestants is murdered, Norrie and the gang are on high alert. With their condescending airs, it’s easy to see how every contestant would want to kill the chocolatier.
But in a not to Agatha Christie and Murder on the Orient express, Norrie wonders whether there is more than one murderer. No matter how much the police remind her to stay out of the investigation, Norrie just can’t help herself and comes face to face with a killer. Will she be the next victim or will luck be on her side?
An enjoyable series with a scriptwriter who is moonlighting and running her family’s winery. Norrie isn’t perfect, but she’s perfectly imperfect and a protagonist the reader can relate to. Love the cast of characters and one attitude challenged goat!
Norrie owner of two witches winery holds a wine and chocolate festival with other wineries in the finger lakes wine region. The day after the opening dinner someone is found murdered. Will the murderer be caught before they strike again. Norrie gets the help from theo, don, stephanie and godfrey to stop the killer.
