This is a good beginning introduction to essential oils. Nothing overly complicated with clear instructions and background information on the oils and how to choose them. I do like that the author covers proper disposal of expired oils. I don't often see that covered and it also adds solid common practices for good habits on use and storage. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

Even though I do not consider myself a beginner, I am by no means an expert. Even if I was, I would think this would be a great book to have on hand to help others learn from or to have as a second reference. This is a very detailed book that breaks down specific essential oils, how to use them, what to use them for, their benefits, and the precautions associated with them.
I have read a lot, both online and in books, and this is one of the best that I have read. I would definitely purchase this to have on hand. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus and have a ton of issues. I am always on the lookout for other ways to feel better that is more natural than the cocktail of prescription drugs that I have been given.
A good introduction to essential oils and their uses. It gives the history of using essential oils and then goes in to detail on the most common oils and their uses.
This is a fantastic book for anyone using essential oils not just beginners! It has so much good information on how to use and what they are used for! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in oils new or experienced!
I received this ARC from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review
This is a very good informative book for beginners as well as other levels for essential oils. I loved the perfume/fragrance section where you can make up your own oils for your own unique fragrance. Not seen that before in aromatherapy books. Gives a good insight into various oils as to what to use them for and this certainly helps for when you need some guidance.
Its well stressed throughout the book to buy organic oil and always, always dilute the oils. I have known a few people that have suffered skin problems from using undiluted oils. Good advice.
Would definitely recommend this book especially for beginners who are getting into the oils but its also a very good reference book for physical and emotional uses for the oils.
Thank you New Galley.
As a novice who has dabbled with essential oils for a few years, this title is one I wish I had started with all those years ago. It dealt with very practical things like aging oils, disposal, as well as uses with well defined explanations. This could be considered a beginners bible and I will be recommending it to my friends!
