ARC COPY...Hehe that was fun and colourful to read...I like even though both the "real world" and the "comic" world are colourful in every way...they are still some traits to tell the two apart, like the comic world has a more pencil sketchy feel. Plus I like the themes of friendship between friends and family tethered by the creations, creative processes and mayhem that unfolds in the comic's world.
This is the story of two boys who bond over creating a comic book or graphic novel together They both draw, and coincidentally they like to draw comic books.
And then Andrew's little sister find the notebook, and continues in their journey in fighting the bad guy.

A good time is had by all. Fun little story written as though these three kids wrote it.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
This book reminded me a lot of Captain Underpants. Two friends draw sketches and a character is released from their stories into the world. This one differs slightly, as it is a villain, not the superhero that is released. However, the similarities are there.
That aside, this was a cute book that is easy to read, in a comic book style. The illustrations are fun, and fit the book well. Overall, this was a fun book that my son would really enjoy.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
