Few journalists in the West have as much knowledge of or access to Samsung as Geoffrey Cain. His history of the massive corporation traces the company's humble beginnings, the twists and turns along the way, and the rise of the company as a global power. The book gives insights into Korean business and how the chaebols work. Samsung became powerful and massive but then it had to become at least a little cool with the help of some Western ad campaign managers. The book also touches on the debacle of the exploding Galaxy Note 7 and the legal troubles facing Samsung's family leadership hierarchy.
