See Me, See Me Not just didn't work for me. I found the storyline and characters uninteresting and ended up marking it a DNF.

See Me, See Me Not is a hainting suspense with a side of happily ever after. Their budding romance is easily waylaid by their coping mechanisms and their individual histories. What they don't realize, will definitely bite them in the butt.

Tessa lives in the shadow of her sister's disappearance. Her mother is lost. Her father no longer lives with them. Her only source of comfort is going off to college...eventually. When her childhood friend reappears, its both a blessing and a curse. She just isn't sure which is stronger.

Luke has to hide. His feelings. His wants, his dreams are all hidden while he comes to terms with his past. He can't be anything other than a boy in limbo. Limbo is tearing him apart.

These two should have a a happy story with wonderful things and no worries. However, their reality couldn't be further from those wishful thoughts.

The author lures you in, captures your interest, and then chains you to the pages until you can no longer catch your breath. Just when you start to turn purple (figuratively), a new air finds you.

Watch out for friendly people...watch our for strays...watch your siblings closely...you never know...

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
In the second book in the Gavert City series, we trade a serial killer for a deadly cult and find out what happened to Millie six years ago. I liked the way the cult was portrayed, it felt pretty realistic and the Stockholm Syndrome was well done. Even though Millie has been through some pretty terrible things, my heart really went out to Tessa. Living in the shadow of you sister, trying to move on with your life while your mom gives all the money to fake psychics and can't move past the tragedy. Tessa worked so hard to have a life and I'm glad she reconnected with Luke.
This didn't have the intensity of the first book, but there were some scenes that were edge of your seat. The pacing is decent and I liked the characters. I'm looking forward to the third book!

Okay, this review is my incredibly personal opinion pretty biased. I know all reviews are but this one more so, sorry!

I thought this was a nice YA romance read and there is. I enjoyed the moments between Luke and Tessa. But when I asked to read this ebook I must have blanked when reading about the CULT.

I’m sure some people don’t mind reading about cults but honestly, they just make me really uncomfortable. I dont enjoy reading about them and this book wasn’t for me.

I thought the story was well written and I think this could really appeal to some people. It just wasn’t for me.

This book has a great plot and I love the mystery and romance that was intertwined throughout this book. The two main characters have gone through their own version of heartbreak regarding family and I love how they learn to come together enable to become stronger.

See Me, See Me Not by Elodie Nowodazkij is the 2nd book in the Gavert City, a young adult thriller/romance series, and another great addition. Wow! Ms. Nowodazkij does it again! I normally read sweet young adult romances, and this is not one of those. Yes there is a sweet romance between Tessa Gardner, high school junior, and her childhood friend Luke, who recently returned to town under strange circumstance. On top of getting through their normal lives, there is so much heart breaking history with these two young adults. I don't want to give to much away, but if you are looking for an intense book, I highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. You don't have to read the books in order, each can be read as a stand alone.

I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.

The cover definitely doesn't scream "suspense" and "mystery thriller" but I was pleasantly surprised! I thought it was a really good book that had me at the edge of my seat at times. The romance was cute too!

Tessa's life was destroyed when her sister Mellie disappeared It caused her parents to divorce and her mother is obsessed with finding her daughter and spends money that they do not have to do it. So now Tessa is supporting her mother and giving up her dreams Then Luke returns he was her protector at school but he has his own demons to handle As they both work at finding what happened to Mellie danger will stalk them This is an unusual book in that you also get Mellie's narration throughout giving you a three point view of things that happen Definitely a book that you need to be able to read without interruption and well worth the effort

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review. I quite enjoyed this book. I liked how everything with Luke was connected to Mellie. I was a little disappointed in how the book ended; I wish things had ended differently. I liked how real Tessa’s Mom’s grief was. It gave you a different perspective. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries and rime

Another great book by Elodie Nowodazkij in this series.
The first book had the town being struck by a serial killer, whom they finally were able to stop. When the killer makes his confessions, Tessa's sister Mellie, who has been missing for seven years, was not one of the victims.
In this book, Tessa and her parents lives are falling apart without Mellie. Every cent they have, including Tessa's college fund, has been spent trying to find her. Finally they meet a psychic that says she knows where Mellie is and can help them find her. Problem is, someone kills her before she meets with Tessa and her family.
Meanwhile, Luke has never stopped looking over his shoulder, and trying to protect his sister, Lila, from the cult they escaped from. He feels guilty because he was not able to save Lacey, his other sister, when they escaped.
When Luke's past catches up to him, and brings Tessa face to face with her past, they will all be in grave danger. This time, the cult may not be so easy to escape from.
This book has just the right blend of mystery, danger, and action to make this a page turner.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
