This is one of those books where I really wish there was an option to give 3.5 stars. I can’t quite call it 4 because there were too many things that bugged me, but it doesn’t deserve 3 stars either. Well written and interesting with characters that are complex, I liked the emotional journey our hero went on but didn’t actually like HIM. Brock shows his bad side for a significant portion of the book (he’s moody, broody, jealous, not the best father, and sometimes mean or drunk), but underneath all that is a good guy who blames himself for the loss of his wife. Had our heroine seen more of his good side before falling for him, I would’ve felt a lot better about this story but it’s lust/love at first sight for these two.
The story follows Brock, a professional bull rider who is trying to provide for his son the best way he knows how even though that takes him away from home most of the time. The loss of his wife has left him grieving what could’ve been and regretting how things played out. When Lincoln moves to town and buys the home Brock lived in with his wife, it stirs up all sorts of feelings he’s been trying to leave buried. Lincoln and Brock have an immediate connection despite everything Brock is going through, and the attraction just grows stronger every day they spend together. Though Brock has vowed he won’t ever open his heart to a woman again, Lincoln slips by his defenses with ease.
This has a great western/small town vibe, focused on family and featuring a full cast of characters. I liked the writing a lot and wish that I had enjoyed the actual characters more. It’s hard for me to respect a heroine who starts falling for a guy who is mean, then falling-down-drunk, then jealous within hours of meeting her. I get that Brock was going through a lot, but Lincoln had no idea what he was struggling with. That alone probably wouldn’t have soured me on the book, but combined with Brock’s continued comparisons of Lincoln to other women (even during sex scenes), and the sheer speed at which they fall for each other, and I was left with a definite bad taste in my mouth at times. If you’re okay with an insta-love vibe in an emotional romance, then there’s actually a lot to like about the story but those who don’t will probably take issue with parts of the book. I received an ARC via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It's an incredible feeling to find a new book that sweeps you off your feet and steals your heart which is exactly what happened to me when reading Never Enough. Kelly Elliot is a new to me author, but I’ve had my eye on her novels for some time now. I heard from the grapevine that she writes swoony heroes and strong heroines and I tend to agree with the readers. These characters STOLE my heart. When I first started reading though Brock really got on my nerves because he was such a jerk to Lincoln. However, as we dove back into his past and saw what made him so jaded, I found it easy to forgive him. It’s nice to see growth and change with characters especially when they are dealing with something tragic and Kelly Elliot really redeemed him. I hope readers who are turned off by his actions in the beginning will give him a chance and read on as the rest of the story really makes up for her faults in the beginning.
That being said, I am really excited to see where Kelly takes the rest of the series. I’m hoping Kaylee and Ty have the next book (enemies-to-lovers) but will also be happy for a new couple that haven’t made an appearance yet too. There’s something about these sexy cowboys that hooks me, so I’ll truly be happy with whoever gets the next book. Guess I’ll have to do a little digging!
If you love single dad, cowboy/rodeo romances, small towns, and swoony heroes then you won’t want to miss this one. Thank you Montlake romance and the author for giving me a copy of this novel to read prior to publication. I have a feeling this that will be one of those series I will continue to devour as each book releases.
This is another one of those "Why did I wait so long to read this author?" deals. Kelly Elliott has been recommended to me over and over but I just never pulled the trigger...until now. And I am thoroughly pleased to say that I loved every word of this story. Lincoln and Brock's story may seem insta-love but when that one person who seems to fill your soul from the minute you meet them...even when the last thing you want is to care about someone...what else can happen? Brock wants to feel nothing ever again...he clings to his guilt like a badge of honor despite what everyone in his family or in town try to tell him. He refuses to do more than his passion for bull riding and his love for his son. Lincoln was just looking for a fresh new start...nothing earth shattering...just something she could call her own. She never saw Brock coming. Throw in an amazing, precocious child and I'm all in. Emotional, uplifting, beautiful story. Just two things I need to know...What was in the box (that Lincoln found hidden) and when can we expect Ty's story?
Enjoyed it

5 star reviews Never Enough (Meet Me in Montana #1) by Kelly Elliott
I was so excited when I learnt Kelly Elliott had a new series releasing. I had read quite a few books from this author and have always found them to be well written with characters that you cannot help but become invested in.
Brock Shaw is surviving, trying to forget the pain and guilt of his wife’s death. He is a bull rider, chasing a Championship title, which takes him away from his young son Blayze and their home for weeks at a time.
Lincoln Pratt is an interior designer in need of a change and is hoping that Hamilton, Montana, will be where she finds what she is so desperately looking for.
Despite himself, Brock is attracted to Lincoln even though he fights it. You can feel Brock’s pain almost jumping off the pages and my heart almost broke for him at times. The question is can Brock come to terms with the pain of the past and in turn forge a future with Lincoln, or is he destined to be alone forever?
I love single parent stories, particularly when there is an adorable little boy who almost steals the book from Brock and Lincoln. Kelly Elliott has a knack for this type of story, drawing me in and keeping me captivated from the first to the last chapter.
There is drama, heat, humour and romance in this book and in my humble opinion Ms. Elliot is off to a flying start with this series.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via NetGalley.
So this is a new to me author who I have heard so much about.
BUT I could not get into this one. I stopped at 22% and then just started to skip around. It just wasn’t the book for me. It was written. That wasn’t the issue. Maybe I’m just not in to bull riders??? I don’t know. I will say I want to try Ty’s story when it comes out
3.5 stars.
I call dibs on Brock Shaw! I absolutely adored this book. Kelly Elliott really knows her cowboys.
Brock Shaw is a broken cowboy who hasn’t truly come to terms with his late wife’s death and you can’t help but want to heal him. He’s struggling to balance his life on the road with the PBR tour and taking care of his son Blayze who is back home with his parents and siblings.
Lincoln Pratt, an interior designer, has left Georgia behind to create a new, simpler life in Hamilton, Montana and brought her friend Kaylee along for the ride.
When she moves into the home that Brock shared with his late wife, the two cross paths and don’t start off on the best of terms. However, it doesn’t take long until those tense moments and arguments turn into hot kisses and so much more.
The journey we go on with them is emotional and at times heartbreaking. That’s not to say we don’t get to have some laughs and crazy sexy moments along the way. These two characters were meant for each other. I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting the rest of the Shaw family and seeing how they all interact with each other. It’s nice getting to know characters that will hopefully appear in later books.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series, so I can dive into more of the Shaw brothers. I call dibs on ALL of them!
A wonderful start to a new series of small town cowboys set in the hills of Montana. I quickly fell into the dynamics of the Shaw family and can't wait for the boys to get their unexpected HEAs.
PBR Champion Brock Shaw has been there done that and still wears the guilt left behind on his sleeve. Raising his little boy Blayze with the help of his parents and brothers when he is away on tour. Blayze and the tour are his main focus. Sure he spends time now and again with a lady but swears he will never open his heart again, feeling he proved long ago he can't put a woman first over his bull riding.
Lincoln is finally doing it stepping out from under her parents meddling and doing life on her own. Selling her successful business in Atlanta, starting over working for someone else in Montana. She purchased a cute little house with a barn in hopes of getting back on the horse and sharing that love with others. It's gonna take some time to get used the slower pace but she is ready.
Lincoln is surprised by the helpfulness of the Shaw family, who are her direct neighbours. Quickly taking a liking the cutest little boy who comes along with his uncles and grandma. She was not prepared for the feeling that Brock brought to life the minute he was in a room. She wasn't her looking for a relationship, just to start over. When Brock realizes that she has evoked feelings he didn't even feel when he was married, he stumbles a few times. Will this broken cowboy realized he might be worth a second change? Will she break down his walls and help him heal?
This was a great sweet romance. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in Hamilton Montana. Who is next on the HEA block?

Never Enough
Never Enough is the first book I've read by Kelly Elliott and what an amazing introduction to this author it was. As this is an utterly enchanting, believable, and engaging story. That has characters who have real depth and warmth. Not to mention a cowboy who is equal parts sexy and sweet. And I was gripped throughout.
Plus, it had a great storyline aside from the romance. Which was pretty perfect, and I adored the pace at which the relationship developed between Lincoln and Brock. As well as that Lincoln created with Brock's adorable son Blayze.
Furthermore, this story was full of well-rounded secondary characters who its clear all have stories to tell and I for one am really excited to read them.
As for Never Enough, I would definitely recommend it to others. Especially if you love a great cowboy/single parent romance. As this is definitely both of those things, and so much more.
Brock really hasn't dealt with his wife's death and he's not really being a dad to his 5 year old son Blayze. The latter is living with Brock's parents while he goes on the bull riding circuit. Lincoln, an interior designer, makes a somewhat impulsive move to Hamilton, Montana. Of course, she meets Brock, sparks fly, they can't quite get over themselves, Blayze is cute, and so on until...... That's the synopsis, yes, but what that misses is the good characters, the nice story telling, and the buoyant approach Elliot takes to her tale of three people who become a family. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good happy read- and I'm curious which of the other characters will star in the next book!
A fantastic read! Give me a tortured sexy bull rider and I’m hooked. Loved the chemistry between Brock and Lincoln. I absolutely adored Blayne and I’m hoping for Ty and Kaylee’s story as well as Dirk’s.
4 1/2 Stars!
Brock is a single father and a PBR bull rider ... he’s currently working towards his third world title. He hasn’t been interested in a relationship since his wife died, but he has second thoughts on that when he meets Lincoln ... the beautiful woman that has just moved to his hometown. Lincoln needed to get away from her controlling parents ... the farther the better. She falls in love with the small Montana town ... and the hunky cowboy is just a perk!
I loved the characters in this book ... the banter between them is just so realistic. This book checked all the boxes for me ... it was funny, romantic, heartbreaking ... and the steamy scenes were WOW! I really fell in love with Blayze ... what a little cutie! A great start to a new series and I can’t wait for the next book.
I received an early copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
I am a huge fan of Kelly Elliott. I always know when I pick up get books I’m going to get a good country story. Never Enough was just what I needed. I devoured this book in one sitting.
Brock is a professional bull rider and lives what he does for a living. He is a single parent and thankfully had family to help him raise his son. He doesn’t do relationships and open himself up to many. When he meets Lincoln for the first time there is this pull they have towards each other. They didn’t meet in the best of terms.
Lincoln was in need of a fresh start and wanted to leave Atlanta. She never thought she would like living in the country as much as she does. She also never thought she would fall for a moody bull rider. Brock and his adorable son stole Lincoln’s heart. I loved that little boy, he’s the sweetest.
If you’re looking for a feel good sweet romance this is the book for you.

This is my first Kelly Elliott book and will not be my last. I loved this story- small town romance, single dad, bull-riding, strong heroine.... so good!
Brock and Lincoln are amazing together, the push and pull between them keep me turning pages. Their story is of trust and honesty and being there for each other and how to get to happily ever after. Blayze was so sweet. All the supporting characters made me fall in love with them. The family for Brock, Lincoln and Kaylee's friendship was beautiful.
I look forward to reading more of Kelly Elliott's books!
This book was super sweet, Brock is a widower trying to balance his life as a bull rider and a single dad. When he meets Lincoln, he falls for her fast however he is dealing with the guilt he feels about his wife's death. Lincoln moves to Montana for a fresh start when she meets Brock and things aren't the same after that. Like I said this book was super sweet, with a little bit of angst as the couple work through their lives together. Enjoyable story.
5⭐️
I got this ARC from Montlake Romance through NetGalley. I was sold on the blurb. I mean wouldn't you be curious about what happens if you put a sexy bull-rider, who's a single dad and a feisty heroine together??
I've read a Kelly Elliott book before but it was one of those older books. I have yet to take on my TBR shelf and read one of hers again...
This book was so unexpected... Don't get me wrong, I knew it was going to be good but I didn't expect to love it so much. I'm not normally a fan of "insta-love" but Lincoln and Brock's story will totally give you all the feels!
The pacing was great, the characters were captivating and the overall story would just melt your hearts.
I'm excited for Ty and Kelley's love story! I hope they'll have their book. I'm very curious about those two! Lol
For the fans of Melanie Harlow, A.L Jackson and Lisa Renee Jones, this is the book to pick up next!
Kelly Elliot you have done it again. Beautifully written characters wrapped up in a storyline that I could not put down and that will stay with me until the next book in the series is released. Brock Shaw, PBR Bull Rider, widower and father of a young boy matched up with Lincoln Pratt, interior designer and in a position to start over far away from her take over parents. What starts off as a hatred, turns into lust which then moves onto love but not without loads of hurdles and chemistry that leaps off the page. Perfect second change romance thrown together with a single dad. A perfect combination.
I enjoyed this endearing and emotional small town story. I immediately connected with the two main characters and they had me hoping they would be able to work through their issues. This story is about fresh starts in life, after being hurt in the past and Montana makes the perfect backdrop for it. It’s a small town, so everyone knows your business and they like to give their opinions, whether you it want it or not.
Kelly Elliott takes the reader on an emotional journey with Brock and Lincoln. They are two lost souls afraid to open their hearts and take the chance of being hurt again. Lincoln is an interior designer and moves to Montana to get a fresh start. Lincoln and her best friend Kaylee are pleasantly surprised to discover such good looking guys in Montana.
Brock has dedicated his life to becoming the number one bull rider in the country. He has spent the last few years tormented with guilt because he has had to give up everything for his success. His life feels empty and he questions his decisions. Brock is an emotional mess and has a hard time dealing with all his demons.
This story is filled with longing and has great dynamics between the characters.
Lincoln and Brock are perfect for each other and meet at just the right time. They try to fight their attraction to each other, but can’t and I love watching them fall in love.

Review Kelly... she's done it again. Whenever she bring a new book out I just love them every damn time and I'm not even sorry lol.
Lincoln and Brock *swoon*.. My new favourite couple!!!
I now want to move to America just so I can watch these Bull Riders ♡
I loved Brock alot.. He's such an amazing father to Blayze. After what happens in his past he thinks he doesnt deserve to love again. But that all goes to hell when Lincoln shows up.
I loved Lincoln lots.. I loved their first meeting. Brock was a little bit of an arse to her but she certainly put him in his place. Also I loved how much love she had for Blayze.
I really do hope we get a book for Ty and Tanner because I just loved them both.
Well done again Kelly on another fantastic read
Bull riders and cowboys oh my oh my. This new series by Kelly Elliott is bull rider perfection.
Brock and Lincoln are perfect for each other. It took them time to get there but in the end they did and along the way learned valuable lessons about love and life. Throw in a sweet young boy into the story and bam, you've got an awesome small town romance going on.
