Very well organized and thought out book! I liked her tips. I just wish I had more time and motivation so I could really get it all done as fast as she lays it out.
Everyone knows what clutter is, but sometimes it is hard to know where to start. This room-by-room decluttering supposedly takes only 7 weeks, but I think that a person busy with work or small children will need to take it in smaller bites.
Very well organized with a 7 day plan to get you started. The plan easily sustainable once you reorganize. It nothing revolutionary but it has great tips for scaling back and taking back control of your spaces and keeping it organized. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
If you're like me and have a difficult time keeping your home from becoming cluttered, this basic guide should be very helpful. It goes room by room and provides useful tips for better organization. I preferred this approach over the more simplistic "here's how to de-clutter your entire home" books that seem to approach everything at once. It's always nice when you can read only the chapter that's needed right before tackling a specific organization task.
Some of the rooms took considerably longer than what I'd call the author's conservative time estimates. Other than that, though, this is quite a useful book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy.
This book is broken down into an easy to follow, 7 week plan for getting your home organized. It starts with how to use the book and 7 rules to follow. Chapters are kitchen, living room/playroom, bathroom/mudroom/linen closet, your bedroom, kids and guest bedrooms, storage closets/attic/basement, and garage and backyard. Each chapter is further broken down into days where specific projects and tasks are explained. The goal of the whole book is to build on momentum, get rid of things no longer needed/being used, and leave you with an organized house that is sustainable. I really liked how this gave specific steps to take, and you are able to follow by just reading the part for the day you're working on.
I received an ebook ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The No-Nonsense Home Organization Plan is easy to read, easy to use, and easy to follow. The premise is to declutter in a systematic way, one room at a time. It’s a seven-week plan that is accomplished on a day-by-day basis, with one day off each week. For each room, the initial action is almost always the same – remove everything and then put back what you want to keep.
As the process is broken down for each room of the house, as well as the garage and the yard, the author indicates how long each task should take. In some cases, I think she has been a little optimistic but, nevertheless, it’s a good guideline to have.
The book is short and to the point and there were several tips that I found useful. This is a good, basic book if you need some encouragement to declutter and organize your home.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book for review.
