“Life. There was no why in life, only free will, decisions built on other life-altering choices. And life.”

What a story! Fashion Jungle takes us into the gritty, ruthless world of modeling. The story is raw and hits you with many emotions.

“Funny how the safest place people always expected to find themselves in, was the most dangerous. And the most dangerous? Peaceful beyond reason.”

The things Zoe, Brittany, Everlee, and Danica have been through are grueling and brutal; and they are truly blessed to have such a wonderful guardian angel in Dane. As we move through the story of their lives, all you can hope for is the best outcome for everyone. There’s loss, rivalry, hurt, and pain, but there’s also so much love. The friendship and bonds are so heartwarming. Their pasts helping to shape them in to the strong, resilient women they are today.

“Life is life. Sometimes, things just happen. You can’t change the past. You can only make choices in the present that will affect your future.”

This gripping story will have you enthralled from start to finish. What a heartfelt, incredible journey this story is.

“Maybe it was possible to find redemption. You just had to look hard enough. And believe it could happen.”

Fashion Jungle is an amazing story written by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken. Zoe, Brittany, Everlee and Canoga were four teenage girls who created a lifelong friendship while trying to make it in the modeling world. A year after the tragic death of Danica, the three friends are still keeping her memory alive.

We're introduced to a wide variety of characters, given a behind the scenes look at the modeling world and even given a glance at the seedier side of it. Throughout, my heart breaks for the characters as they try to survive.

This was such an amazing read that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Tears! Just all the kind of tears! Sadness, happiness, being anxious, surprised. Just so many tears.

This book was amazing. I was not certain of this at first. It does not really fall into one genre. There is intrigue, romance, mystery, and self discovery. As a reader you wouldn't think that you could understand 4 models. But there will be something that will resonate with you. I loved how different at heart that all the women were, but yet they are the best of friends even closer than sisters. I wish that I had friends like them.

Oh the men of interest in this book! Dane, Oliver and Ronan. Again, so different but I loved something about each of them. More book boyfriends for me! And Roger wasn't a man of interest but I loved him!

Give this book a try even if you dont think you will like it. You will fall in love and your heart strings will be pulled.

Who knew the fashion world could be so ugly? I wish this was three separate books - and that is both a compliment and a complaint. With Rachel Van Dyken’s writing skill and Kathy Ireland’s fascinating tales of the fashion world, I was engrossed in this from the very beginning. It’s a compelling look at the fashion industry and the ugliness that lurks beneath the beautiful facade. However - and this is a big however - the inclusion of so many characters and perspectives gives it a somewhat scattered feel. Just as I was settling into one character’s perspective, the chapter would change and we’d hear from someone else. While that gives this a rich, multi-faceted feel, it also means that it takes a while to connect to the characters. I enjoyed the first half of the book for the insight into the industry, but it wasn't until the second half that I truly became invested in the characters.

The story is one filled with sex, drugs, murder, loss, regret... a look into the fashion world that is both fascinating and unsettling with more triggers than I was anticipating. I’ll openly admit that I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out which real life people were having their story told, because this pulls from truth and doesn’t show many of the characters in the most flattering light. I loved how honest and in-depth this got, which is really where the story shines. Had this been separated into a book for each of the female leads, the relationships could've been developed further, but we do get a somewhat satisfying conclusion for each character. While it has elements of romance, the focus is on the intrigue and drama. It gets much darker and more emotional than I was anticipating, but shines much-needed light on the industry. Fans of romance will enjoy this but it speaks to a much larger audience as well. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review of this complex story.

Fashion Jungle is romantic suspense on steroids!!! I just couldn't put it down. There are multiple points of view from the different characters tied together by secrets, love, friendships and family.
I'm honestly a little lost for words. I felt like I was watching a movie with mafia elements, the good and the bad characters and some great banter thrown in.
I genuinely loved the way the characters friendships were and how things in their past shaped who they were today.
There was one quote I truly thought could resonate with all of us. I think it spoke to me somehow:

“No regrets ,” “Life is life. Sometimes, things just happen. You can’t change the past. You can only make choices in the present that will affect your future.”

Yes your heart may beat fast and you might also be shocked in certain parts but all in all, I have to say it was a real pleasure to read. That's the whole purpose of reading a book that is that enjoyable...am I right, or am I right?
You be the judge, go 1-click and read it for yourself, you won't be sorry!!
The collaboration of the two authors really worked incredibly well. Well done ladies! What a ride!

Welcome to the Jungle. Things are not as beautiful on the inside as they seem on the outside.
5 friends, who have been together for half their lives. One of them dies tragically and the others are left reeling.

Everlee is an "Older model" who is still trying to stay in the game. Her life seems perfect with her career and her huband. But she has secrets.

Brittany is considered Ameria's sweetheart. She is trying to be taken seariously in the magazine industry. The past keeps hauting her. Will she ever be able to move on from it to have to future she desires?

Zoey is trying to become a successful fashion designer. She also has secrtes and the only on who can protect her is:

Dane. He knows everyone's secrets and uses them like currency. He loves Zoey and is trying to solve the mystery of his sister's death.

This cowritten story is a mystery that shows the the hidden grittiness that goes on in the fahion industry.
Everything is not as pretty as it seems. It was a page turning gripping story.

Fashion Jungle by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken a five-star chaotic masterpiece. This one had me stumped so many times, one moment I didn’t know if I could finish as it was just so confusing and then a few pages later I was hooked again. I personally found it confusing as there were four narrative threads but its never really clear who is telling the story until you get to know the characters and get to hearing their voices tell you the story. Once you get into the story and can tell who is telling the story, it will get its hooks in you, you will be enthralled and compelled to keep reading even when the subject matter gets darker and darker, you won’t be able to put it down. The chemistry between the four main characters is sublime, the friendship between the three girls and the friend who sadly passed is one that some can only dream about.

It’s a dream of most girls growing up, becoming a fashion model. At least that was the dream my grandmother had for me. I would rather be playing baseball with the neighbor kids.
Yet for those few who do make it big time, it not all the glam we may think it is. This is brought home with the new release from Fashion Jungle by Kathy Ireland and Rachel Van Dyken. Kathy has told this story and through her eyes we get a glimpse what a models real life story is. I must confess I read this as a fiction novel, yet reflecting back on it I had to remember it is based on true fact. And reality hits. This life is not a glamorous walk the runways wearing the upcoming years clothing, mingle with famous people, and drink champagne like water. This is life, people’s lives some of which is just like us, others events are things I wouldn’t want to even imagine going through.
This eye-opening book is definitely a recommended read.

Pretty girls don’t always have pretty lives, especially when they are forced to survive rather than live. This book is a very different look at the modelling world!

Three smart, beautiful women, Brittany, Everlee, Zoe...all with secrets, living various lies. Sometimes the people with the biggest smiles are struggling the most...appearances are just that, appearances. “It’s the Instagram effect. Perfect pictures on the outside, total mess on the inside.”

Then there’s the men in their lives, many of them are dangerous, powerful and often cruel.

There’s a lot of back story to digest, and a mystery that needed to be solved. Based on some true events in Kathy Ireland’s life spun into a captivating and intriguing story that had me madly flipping pages!

I love the story telling format of this book. I love all of the different points of view, the quick pace to the story and the way Rachel has woven the past & present flow seamlessly. Every little girl wants to be a model or an actress (or princess) at one point in time. These four girls are living the dream...filled with drama, friendship, love, loss, loyalty, family suspense, deception...big city, big dreams, big heartbreak.

3.5 STARS!!!
Fashion Jungle is a book that gives readers a glimpse into the modeling world of four young women and their hardships, determination and sacrifices. It was easy to see the love and support these women had for each other but their success came at a price. I absolutely loved Dane, Roger and Oliver. Dane was the dark, dangerous and protective of his girls but he did it in a way that only he could. Roger was the loving father figure wanting all of his girls to be happy. Oliver was the light, charming, funny and sweet one. This story has heroes and villains, twists and turns, lies and truths, loss and love, and an ending that was both sweet and hard for the women but one that was deserved. It was a good suspense filled read.

Kathy Ireland teams up with Rachel Van Dyken to author 'Fashion Jungle,' a story about four friends forced to grow up too fast in the intensely adult world that is the fashion industry. Brittany, Zoe, and Everlee all have their own personal demons and secrets. And they all mourn the sudden suicide of their friend, Danica. However, things aren’t always what they seem.

'Fashion Jungle' presents us with a lot of characters and a lot of ideas. There are lots of narrative threads (pun intended) to follow, some of which work better than others. Even amidst all of the different storylines, the plot ended up being mostly predictable. Of the few big plot “twists,” most I saw coming a mile away, which was kind of disappointing.

One of the most compelling elements of the book is all of the behind the scenes looks at the modeling/fashion industry. I almost wish that Ireland would have written a memoir instead. I feel that a memoir would also better contextualize Ireland’s faith in a way that didn’t feel as abrupt as Brittany’s in the novel. But I admire the fact that Ireland and Van Dyken take a risk and present differing characterizations of model life, rather than indulging in archetypes. Though I still wanted each character to have more depth. I almost wish that each friend would have gotten her own novel, or, at the very least, their own fourth of the book.

Despite some of its narrative flaws, 'Fashion Jungle' provides a unique look into the fashion industry and has some interesting narrative elements.

This was a compelling look into the cut-throat world of fashion and modeling.

To begin with, I positively adored the fact that while this story was authored by two people, it never felt that way. I couldn't tell you from reading it which chapters (or characters) were written by whom and I like that. I liked that it flowed together into a cohesive story instead of feeling choppy.

On the flip side, having four different POVs throughout the novel sometimes made it hard to keep track of who had what going on at first, until you got into the flow of the story itself. I will admit that there were a couple of story-lines where the outcome was obvious, but even though I was right in how they played out, it was still impressive seeing the way the authors chose to get there.

In closing, this was one of those rare stories that just brought the reader in and kept them glued to the pages just to see what happens next. I would read more from these authors.
