A second chance romance filled with family drama, great characters and some HOT, heartwarming sex!

Rachel has a secret that Mike doesn't know- he has a child! But how long this will remain a secret is anyone's guess. Especially as his daughter is growing up and asking more questions about her missing father.

How will Mike act when he realises that the young girl Raegan who's been hanging around his gym is actually his daughter?

I loved how the reader was given inside information about the facts behind the reasons Rachel never sought out Mike, before now, via old diary entries. The whole situation was totally believable and well thought out.

A moving, well written steamy plot that's also realistic and thoroughly entertaining! Great characterisation is rounded up with an equally satisfying ending! Can these childhood sweethearts ever reconnect and get that HEA they should've had years ago?

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for my free copy of this book. This is my own, honest and unbiased opinion. 4.5 stars.

Rating 4.5/5*
This is a drama filled second chance romance that I thoroughly enjoyed reading!

When she was just sixteen, Rachel was going out with the love of her life, planning to follow him to university and make a life together with him. Mike was just as in love with her and together they had their dreams of a future together. However, when Rachel's Mum suspected Rachel might be pregnant she whisked her away with blackmail, threats and more. Given no real choices she left Mike behind, unaware of just why she had disappeared from his life. Thirteen years later, their daughter, Raegan, is asking questions and wanting to know more about her father  . . . . .  When Rachel accidentally meets him again, their chemistry is as explosive as ever but what will happen when he learns about their daughter?

This is a moving story told from the main characters' points of view and through journal entries made by Rachel over the years. It is the story of a narcissistic mother, soul mates, manipulation, love, families, romance and so much more. There are plenty of surprises in store, revelations from the past and shocking discoveries from the future in this brilliant, steamy, contemporary romance. I didn't want to put it down as the story unfolds and love is rekindled whilst new relationships develop. Raegan is a brilliant character - so forthright, determined, independent and bright whilst her maternal grandmother is absolutely dire!! This is a heartwarming second chance romance that I have no hesitation in highly recommending.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after reading it and finding it to be an enthralling read.

Accidental Secrets by Dana Mason is the 3rd book in the Accidental Love Book series, and my 2nd book in the series. In this book, Rachel and Mike were high-school sweethearts, until Rachel's mother moved her to live with her father in another state. Mike is angry she never said good bye, and Rachel is upset she never told Mike the truth. This book is predictable because when the truth comes up later, he get angry because he was never told, but it has a sweet ending. If you are looking for a fun romance to read, I highly recommend this book. I will be reading more by this author.

I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you.

A young love ripped apart by a surprise and a heartless mother that interferes with their future. I always have a rough time when someone is persuaded to do something against their will and then for so much time to pass it was super frustrating. Loved the intensity of this couple and the resilience after so much time apart and so much that was hidden. Great read that hooks you until the end.
I received an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest review.

4.5 Emotional Stars

This is my first Dana Mason read and although this was a Series book, I didn't feel like I was lost at all. I will be going back to the beginning and getting to know some of the other characters a little better. The twists and turns that come to light the more you read have you reading and forgetting what is happening around you. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling.

Rachel has done well for herself, being a single mom at sixteen and raising her beautiful daughter with the help of her father while going to school and college, finding herself a great job that she loves. But she has never truly recovered from loosing the love of her life, having everything stripped from her the way things happened. The secrets she has had to keep to keep everyone safe and away from the rath of her mother. With her daughter Reagan a teen and asking more and more questions about her father, old feelings are coming to the forefront. Can she tell Reagan the truth? Will Mike want to know his daughter? Will he hate her forever?

Mike has had great success with his partners in the CrossFit Box gyms that they have designed and run. He is busy preparing of the opening of the second gym in a new town. A next step for him in his life and his career. After Rachel disappeared and the loss of his brother he has struggled with letting anyone close. Determined to make this move to Sacramento his next step, he wasn't prepared for the young girl who starts hanging around the gym, or the secret of his past opening up when he see Rachel for the first time in 14 years.

Is there a hope for a reconnection? Will they be able to forgive and more on or will the hurts to be too deep?

This is my first book by this author and I really liked it. It will keep you engaged and on the edge of your seats. Mike and Rachel were childhood sweethearts but she left him without saying anything as to why she is leaving. Years later, his daughter is looking for him. Is this going to be the chance for Mike and Rachel to finally get the HEA they were looking for so many years ago?

I received an ARC from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

Book 3 in this splendid series and I can't get enough! Oh boy this sounds so strange when you see which genre this is, but it's the way the author has me captivated that I can't get enough of. Oh Jeez, this seems to come out all wrong as well. OMG, the way of expressing myself does not get any better LOL.

One thing I can assure you : the stories are great. They are all very emotional and raw but oh so wonderfully, totally beautiful.

Don't expect a book filled with cheap sexscenes. The book is in fact a big love story and the sex is there to emphasise the feelings of the main characters.

Every feeling that is being described you can feel too. There are characters you will love and some you will strangle with pleasure.

When you take some erotic books and erase the erotic scenes, there is nothing left but casi blank pages. There is no story that can entertain you. If you would take the sizzling parts away here, you still have a gorgeous story that remains.

The only thing left for me to do, is to give 5 stars to this emotional story.

Thank you, Dana Mason and Bookouture

Accidental Secrets
(Accidental Love Book 3)
by Dana Mason

Kindle Edition, 303 pages
Expected publication: December 5th 2019 by Bookouture

Goodreads synopsis:
She’s been hiding something from him. Until now…

Her
He was my childhood sweetheart.
Then it all went wrong and my mom tore us apart.
Ever since then I’ve kept my secret.
I haven’t had a choice.
Fourteen years later, just thinking about him makes my stomach flip.
I still remember his citrus smell, the way he used to gently hold my hand.
And then… It turns out he’s living in the same damn town.
But he’s not the Mike I remember.
He’s dark and dangerous, covered in ink.
He’s completely and utterly mouth-watering.
His whiskey-colored eyes blaze as he catches sight of me.
And it’s just a matter of time before he finds out the truth…
The question is, will he forgive me?

Him
She was my ride or die.
And she left without even saying goodbye.
Left me with nothing but a broken heart.
Since then, I’ve struggled to get close to anyone.
It’s pathetic – who else clings to their high-school love?
And then, all these years later, I see her.
But Rachel’s not how I remember.
Her wavy, raven hair frames her sexy sea-blue eyes.
Her perfect hourglass figure has curves in all the right places.
She’s pin-up girl hot. And I refuse to let her get away this time.
Next thing, we’re in suite 108.
I’m unbuttoning her blouse, tasting every inch of her.
She’s screaming in pleasure.
She’s begging for more.
Everything’s perfect.
Except for one thing…
She’s hiding one hell of a secret.
And when I find out what it is, do I have it in me to forgive her?
Or will I be the one walking away without a goodbye this time?

This is the third book in the Accidental Love series by Dana Mason.

Mason never fails to offer us an unputdownable romance. And this book is no different.

We met Michael Murphy, Kelley’s best friend in the previous book in this series when she went to hide out with him when she had a squabble with Mac. He was definitely my favorite character from that book and I was looking forward to this book because of that.

Mike now has his Cross Fit Box store nearly ready for its opening. Then in waders a young girl named Reagan. She is curious about the gym, he thinks, but she is really curious about him. He’s her dad and he doesn’t even know she exists.

Rachel is Reagan’s mother. She is Mike’s high school sweetheart. The one he never forgot or got over. He runs into Rachel during a wedding consultation standing while he is standing in for Mac and being Kelley’s support. Both are flabbergasted. She just disappeared while in high school and never contacted Mike. He was heart broken. Little did he know all the circumstances behind her disappearance. When they first meet, the book about consumes itself. To say they were hot for each other was an understatement. They were in desperate need for each other.

This book just kills you for both of them and all they had been through due to Rachel’s mother. The woman was a major manipulator and forced Rachel to choose between her baby and Mike while threatening to put the baby up for adoption if she didn’t make the right decision. Needless to say, I hated that woman with a desperation that matched Rachel and Mike’s love for each other.

I gave this five stars because, wow, this story just blows my mind. And the chemistry is off the charts. I really think Mason needs to give classes on how to craft characters, motivations and situations that really push all our buttons in the right way.

If you love a good romance, definitely pick this one up. Every book I have read by her was amazing. High caliber stuff. Unputdownable, for sure!

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

After reading Accidental Lies, I was very happy to see yet another book in the Accidental Love series. The books can be easily read as a standalone, but it is nice to see the characters of the earlier books in this one. We meet Mike, who is moving back to Sacramento to open up a new center in his fitness chain. When he is back in Sacramento, his former sister in law, Kelley asks him to help her with the planning of her wedding. Since being widowed to Mike's brother, she has been best friends with Mike.
Mike wants Kelley to be happy. Afther his brother's death, the family has been torn apart. Mike's parents blamed Kelley for her husband's death. Mike chose Kelley's side, leaving a gap between him and his parents. Having been able to relate to Kelley's heartbreak, he is very happy to see her moving on with Mac. What he didn't count on was Rachel being the hotel manager, where Kelley is supposed to be getting married. Because Rachel was the one that got away: his high school sweetheart who disappeared without a trace years ago. And now she is working here, beautiful as always.
Rachel was forced to leave the love of her life. She was threatened by her mother to pack up her stuff and go. And now, almost fourteen years later, she looks into the eyes of the one man she has never been able to forget. Can she share his secret with him after all those years? And if she does, will he hate her forever? Found out for yourself in this heartbreaking, moving and wonderful read of Dana Mason. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

The third book in this series, the story of Mike and Rachel.

They meet for the first time in 14 years, but she has a big secret she has been keeping, so how will he react?

A great read, and quite emotional at times.

Hope there will be more books in this series.

This is my favourite of the three books in this series. Rachel and Mike are well-written with plenty of depth. The story is also very well-written and the secondary characters are all great. Rachel's mom, however, is a bit of a nightmare! I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance romance and highly recommend it!

ACCIDENTAL SECRETS by Dana Mason is part of the Accidental Love series. This is my first book by this authur, but I plan on going back and reading the other books in this series. I loved the story of Rachel and Michael and hated that they lost 14 years because of her Mother! What a selfish lady! Incredible crazy story!

I am three for three with this author’s books! (I need to go back and read the other ones.)

This story did not disappoint!
Rachel and Michael have been in love since they were young teens. She gets pregnant at sixteen and is forced by her mother to disappear from Mike’s life. I will admit, at first, I thought Rachel was dumb. Who believes that crap??? How could she listen to her mother??? But then I realized I was young and dumb at that age as well.
The more I read this story, the more I loved it! I even enjoyed Raegan’s pages. I wasn’t sure I would.
This is about second chances. It’s also about a man finding out he has a 13 year old daughter.

I recommend you try this one!
It’s book three in the series, but it can be read all on its own with no issues.
I hope you enjoy it!

This is a great second chance romance. I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in just a couple of hours. The story grabs your from the beginning, the book has three different POVs throughout the story so you can really connect with the characters. This book, although a part of a series, is a complete standalone. I haven't read any of the other books and still loved it. Quick, hot, and with a sweet ending is just what I wanted for my beach read and this book didn't disappoint.

I received a free ARC from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

I have not read the other books in this series so I'm not sure if that helps or hurts me but either way, I enjoyed this. Dana is a new author to me and I can definitely say that I'll be checking out more of her books.

This was a quick read for me. It's about a single mama, Rachel who had a daughter with the love of her life back when she was in high school and since her mother was a 'psycho', she made Rachel up and leave and threaten her if she tried to contact Mike. 13 years go by and Mike and Rachel cross paths again while their daughter Reagan is thrown in the mix and they finally reconnect and it is HOT! If you want a quick, hot and passionate read, this is for you!

Accidental Secrets is the ultimate tale of second chances, and I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters in the book. Not just Rachel and Mike but also some of the secondary characters. I loved Isla and some of the brutal truths so dealt out were spot on. The line about Rachel putting on her big girl pants: love it! Yes, Accidental Secrets is on the whole predictable and yes it was just what you expect from a modern, steamy romance but it was 100% exactly what I was in the mood to read.

I won’t lie, there were times when I felt seriously annoyed with Rachel. There’s one thing excusing the actions of a 16-year-old girl, but that doesn’t really hold weight when you’re talking about a grown woman. However, I think that Accidental Secrets actually challenges some serious topics well. Things are never quite black and white when it comes to abuse survivors, even more so when they are still so heavily influenced and controlled. It may be packed full of chemistry, but this is also a book with some unexpected depth.

When Rachel and Mike’s world collides again sparks fly. There is no doubt that they still love each other but the question is, is that enough? Well, of course it is!! But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some bumps along the way and there is no doubt that this is a book which keeps the reader entertained.

Although this is the third book in the Accidental Love series, that didn’t matter as it reads as a standalone. This is the first one that I have read but overall, I don’t really feel like I have missed out on anything big. That being said, I enjoyed this one so much, I will most likely head back to read the other two as soon as I am in the mood for a little bit of romance again!

This book was exactly what I was in the mood for. A great second chance romance, lots of chemistry between the hero and heroine and a real reason for them being kept apart for so long.
I'm always a little wary of books where there's a child involved, but in this case, it was handled really well. Although I struggle with the idea of keeping a father away from their child and not telling them that there was even a baby on the scene. In this case, Rachel and Mike's daughter is 13 by the time that he finds out about her. There are lots of reason why he was kept in the dark and of course, there are lots of questions to answer once they do finally meet.
I really enjoyed this read, there was a lot for the characters to deal with and I have to admit that I was gripped from the start. I read this in more or less one sitting, but it wasn't a quick read, I just couldn't put it down.
This being a romance, there is, of course, a happily ever after. It took them a while to get there, but the journey (for the reader) was totally worth it. This is book three in the series but worked fine as a stand-alone (I'm not even sure if the books are linked as such). I'd been keen to go back and read the others.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

This was a delightful surprise and my first by this author. Rachel became pregnant at a young age and shipped off to live with her dad. The father of the baby was not notified, and thirteen years have passed when the daughter snoops through moms stuff to find her dad. This is a beautiful second chance romance that I feel was an incredible story.

What did I like? The book starts with Reagan (13 yr old daughter) looking for her dad and emailing Mike that he could be her dad. This throws me since it was a unique idea, and a situation that I had not read before. Love new spins on an already done idea. Rachel was a mess but her constant letters to Mike was just a sobbing love story waiting to happen. Made you pray for an HEA.

Would I buy this book? Yes, and I also want to read the others in this series. Great story.

Thoughts for the author? Loved it! I hope the first couple of books in this series are just as good! Thanks so much for letting me read this! Truly enjoy it!
