I was pleasantly surprised with The Doctor's Secret. I read the books out of order so I thought or would be like the second, romance suspense/drama , but it felt totally different.
I like both characters immediately. They clicked and formed a friendship first then became more. I loved how Hong-Wei found his niche and became ingrained in the community.
Simon didn't have the confidence like Hong-Wei had but he knew he loved him and was willing to do anything to make it work.
I think it held the right amount of drama and romance for this couple.
