The book does do what the title promises: It offers one-pot (pan, baking sheet, etc.) recipes using ingredients approved for an anti-inflammatory diet. I thought it would be a good health- conscious cookbook to review. What I liked about the book was the clear introductory listing of do- include and do-avoid foods. My careful review of the recipes, though, revealed that the one-pot easy cooking methods and limited allowable ingredients led to very similar recipes, without much variety even among fruits and vegetables, which are “legal.” Also, the opening material strongly states “No wine,” yet many of the dishes use wine as an ingredient. I understand that for health’s sake, sacrifices must be made. From my bookseller viewpoint however, I don’t believe many customers would choose this recipe collection.

Interesting read and reaffirmed some of the knowledge I had on what foods make you bloat. Great suggestions!

I have been needing to change my diet due to inflammation so I was ecstatic to see this cookbook offered on NetGalley. Better yet, one pot? Praise the Lord! Great recipes and little clean up.

Fast fixes for busy people! This one pot cookbook is full of healthy fast recipes for busy, stressed lives. Stress causes inflammation so the authors have tried to take the stress out of meal planning and cooking. There is a list of foods that help reduce inflammation and a list of foods to avoid.

This is a great cookbook/ diet book with chapters : Salads, Soups, Dutch Oven, Hearty Casseroles, Skillful Skillets, One-pot Pastas, and Sheet Pan Suppers.

One thing that would have been nice to have is pictures of each recipe. Seeing what you are making always helps whet the appetite and lets the cook know what it is supposed to look like,

I like the one pot approach most recipes re easy to prepare. It is meat based so there isn’t much for vegetarians. Overall if you are interested in an anti-inflammatory cookbook this is a good beginning book. I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

The recipes are easy, quick with times from 15 minutes to 1 hour, and include a nice selection with clear instructions. The majority of the ingredients can be found easily at most markets, though some—like jicama, pecorino cheese—not. I will also note that it seems that a lot of recipes call for bone broth—not always easy for me to find good ones at my local store and a pain to make. Also, many of the recipes also call for wine—something I don’t use so be forewarned. But I will also say that there are helpful tips for substitutes in many of the recipes.

The images, though a bit sparse, are good and add to the overall look. A few more with the dishes would have been nice.

I’m not sure I agree with the author’s “all-or-nothing” attitude that comes across as a bit harsh. Not everyone can follow this due to other issues. But still…a decent cookbook.

Recommendation: Recommended as a generally good cookbook for those looking to add to a healthy lifestyle.

If you are new to an anti-inflammatory diet this will be a good one to add to your collection. However since I have been following a vegetarian anti-inflammatory diet for nine years there wasn't a lot to take from this collection. I found it to be very meat heavy and not have a lot of variety when it came to meat free dishes.

I am always impressed when I come across a well-researched cookbook filled easy-to-make, healthy meals. This cookbook also has the advantage of focusing on anti-inflammatory foods and making everything in one pot. What working mom or dad doesn't want time spent making meals to be a little bit easier?

From setting up your kitchen to lists of foods to enjoy and those to avoid, this definitely is a great cookbook to have on hand. It includes lots of yummy recipes and some very intriguing food combinations, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for the Advanced Reader's Copy of this book. I received this in exchange for my honest review. There are a ton of amazing recipes. The part that I loved was the tips on how to set up your kitchen and what tools to best make everything work easier for you. Electric can openers for example are definitely a huge help with multitasking. While they open the can, you can be getting something else done. I really enjoyed all the different recipes and how they could all be made in one single pot. This is very time consuming for todays world. With all the autoimmune diseases that are coming about, I think this would also be beneficial to people of that world. My mother in law is one of them and I will definitely be recommending this book to her!

I downloaded this book due to many inflammatory problems I have. The recipes have been well researched and extremely simple to cook and clean up. I have made 2 of the recipes thus far and they were delicious and my entire family enjoyed them as well. I was looking for inflammatory recipes so thank you! Well done!

The best, and most important, thing I think I can say about this cookbook is that most of the recipes contain ingredients that are readily available and are things that our family will actually eat. Too often I look through cookbooks, and think, “Who eats like this?” That is definitely not the case with The Anti-Inflammatory Diet One-Pot Cookbook. I am anxious to try many of these recipes, and love that the authors kept both preparation and clean-up simple. In addition to the yummy-looking recipes, the first chapter includes general information about foods that can be applied to tweaking recipes that I already use, and altering my grocery list to keep those inflammation-inducing foods out of our fridge and pantry.

I am very grateful to have received a copy of this book from Rockridge Press via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I was under no obligation to provide a positive review and received no monetary compensation.

I didn't know much about the anti-inflammatory diet before reading this book. The beginning of the book includes a food guide of foods to include and foods to avoid. The recipes include vegan, nut-free, and vegetarian options, and the instructions are very clear and concise. It also includes the caloric breakdown for each recipe. I wish the book included more photos of the recipes.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced review copy.

An interesting, different take on the elimination diet (I'm doing a version of AIP right now, so I've been reading a lot of AIP/Paleo/Whole30 books lately). Some good looking recipes that I plan to try out!

I read this cookbook hoping to find recipes to help with my Crohn's, which is an inflammatory disease. Unfortunately, many of the ingredients are things I can't eat because of my Crohn's. So, this is not the cookbook for me, but could be helpful for people with other inflammatory conditions.

As a Registered Dietitian myself I'm super happy that this book is co-authored by an RD so the information within is trustworthy and evidenced based. My top thought looking through this cookbook is "wow, all the recipes are right up my alley!" I really love this cookbook and even though I've only tried 1 recipe, I am pretty experienced with knowing that I will like the recipe based on the ingredients. My only wish is that I prefer a cookbook where every recipe has a picture.

This cookbook caught my eye for two reasons. As I am getting older, the anti-inflammatory diet certainly helps with the achy joints, and the one-pot makes for the much appreciated easy cleanup! I did manage to find a few that I would like to try, but there are quite a few with mushrooms, and I just can't do mushrooms! But, as it states in the beginning, if you can get a weeks worth of recipes, that's a great start!
